30 People Allah Hates- Shaikh Faisal

30 People Allah Hates
by Shaikh Abdullah Faisal
(evening dars 3.29.11)
It’s important to know who Allah doesn’t love because we love / hate for sake of Allah (al wala wal bara)

1. Those who transgress bounds
And fight in the Way of Allah those who fight you, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allah likes not the transgressors. (2:190)

2. Those that are foul-mouthed
Allah does not like that the evil should be uttered in public except by him who has been wronged. And Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Knower. (4:148)

3. Those who spread fasad (mischief/corruption) on the earth
The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter (5:33)

And Allah does not like the Mufsidun (mischief-makers) (5:64)

4. Those that show off with wealth [conspicuous consumption]
...Verily! Allah likes not those who are glad (with ungratefulness to Allah's Favours). (28:76)

O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you (i.e. may stop you from the obedience of Allah), therefore beware of them! But if you pardon (them) and overlook, and forgive (their faults), then verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (64:14)

5. The Zalimeen (those that oppress others)
Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Apostle! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing others." [Bukhari 624]

O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will, and you should not treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the Mahr you have given them, unless they commit open illegal sexual intercourse. And live with them honourably. If you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing and Allah brings through it a great deal of good. (4:19)

O My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and unlawful for you, so do not commit oppression against one another [Forty Hadith-Imam Nawawi 24]

6. Those that waste
Verily, spendthrifts are brothers of the Shayatin (devils), and the Shaitan (Devil - Satan) is ever ungrateful to his Lord. (17:27)

Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! (102:8)

--> not allowed to waste money or time

7. Treacherous persons / traitors
If you (O Muhammad ) fear treachery from any people throw back (their covenant) to them (so as to be) on equal terms (that there will be no more covenant between you and them). Certainly Allah likes not the treacherous. (8:58)

8. Proud / arrogant / boastful persons
And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster. (31:18)

Certainly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal. Truly, He likes not the proud. (16:23) --> you will be the size of an ant on judgment day

9. Murjifeen (those that spread negativity on the battlefield to weaken the moral of the muslims)
Had they marched out with you, they would have added to you nothing except disorder, and they would have hurried about in your midst (spreading corruption) and sowing sedition among you, and there are some among you who would have listened to them. And Allah is the All-Knower of the Zalimun polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) (9:47)

Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them (4-145)
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: The Prophet said, "Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up
Signs of a Munafiq:
1. When he speaks he lies Volume 1, Book 2, Number 34:
2. When he makes promise, he breaks it Bukhari
3. When you entrust him with something, he proves treacherous
4. When he argues, he is abusive

10. Those that mix truth with falsehood
11. Those that hide the truth from the people
Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent down, after We have made it clear for the people in the Book, they are the ones cursed by Allah and cursed by the cursers. (2:159)

12. Kafiroon (the unbelievers)
Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allah and of the angels and of mankind, combined. (2:161)

Had Allah known of any good in them, He would indeed have made them listen, and even if He had made them listen, they would but have turned away, averse (to the truth). (8:23)

And Shaitan (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: "Verily, Allah promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allah (by obeying me in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)." (14:22)

13. Murtadoon (the apostates)
How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and after they bore witness that the Messenger (Muhammad ) is true and after clear proofs had come unto them? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers). (3:86)

14. Wicked scholars
The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurat (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its legal laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them) How bad is the example (or the likeness) of people who deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah. And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers, etc.) (62:5)
And recite (O Muhammad ) to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but he threw them away, so Shaitan (Satan) followed him up, and he became of those who went astray And had We willed, We would surely have elevated him therewith but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his description is the description of a dog: if you drive him away, he lolls his tongue out, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls his tongue out. Such is the description of the people who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect. (7:175-176)
15. Those that killed the prophets or are killed by the prophets
And indeed, We gave Musa (Moses) the Book and followed him up with a succession of Messengers. And We gave 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), clear signs and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. Is it that whenever there came to you a Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you grew arrogant? Some, you disbelieved and some you killed. (2:87)

16. Those that put intermediaries between themselves and Allah
Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. (39:3)

17. Those that sever the ties of kinship
And those who break the Covenant of Allah, after its ratification, and sever that which Allah has commanded to be joined (i.e. they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e. they will be far away from Allah's Mercy); And for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e. Hell) (13:25)

18. Those who call to asabiyya (racism, tribalism, nationalism, etc)
(Allah) said: "What prevented you (O Iblis) that you did not prostrate, when I commanded you?" Iblis said: "I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay."(7:12)

19. Those who take up weapons against Muslims
Narrated By Al-Ahnaf bin Qais: While I was going to help this man ('Ali Ibn Abi Talib), Abu Bakra met me and asked, "Where are you going?" I replied, "I am going to help that person." He said, "Go back for I have heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'When two Muslims fight (meet) each other with their swords, both the murderer as well as the murdered will go to Hell-fire.' I said, 'O Allah's Apostle! It is all right for the murderer but what about the murdered one?' Allah's Apostle replied, “He surely had the intention to kill his companion.” [Bukhari 30]

20. Those that cheat Muslims
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who carries arms against us is not one of us. Anyone who cheats us is not one of us." [Muslim]

21. Those that mock / scorn Islam
And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire). (31:6)

22. Those who indulge in black magic.
They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said “We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew. (2:102)

23. Those who shun the battlefield.
If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all, and Allah is Able to do all things. (9-39)

“Whoever dies and has not fought or had the intention of fighting dies on a branch of hypocrisy.” [Muslim]

Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know (2:216)

24. Those that go against the ijmaa of the Muslims.
And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad ) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell - what an evil destination (4:115)

Ibn Taymiyyah said: “And it is known by necessity in the Deen of the Muslims and by the agreement of all the Muslims that whoever considers it permissible to follow a Shariah other than the Shariah of Muhammad then he is a Kaafir and it is like the Kufr of the one who believes in some of the Book and disbelieves in some of the Book.” [“Al-Fataawa” Vol. 28/ 524]

25. Those who sell the deen for a miserable price
Verily, those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book, and purchase a small gain therewith (of worldly things), they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor purify them, and theirs will be a painful torment. (2:174)

26. Those who are dayooth (those who have no jealousy over their women).
Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like cattle; nay, they are even farther astray from the Path. (i.e. even worst than cattle). (25:44)

Are you surprised at Sa'd's jealousy of his honour? By Allah, I am more jealous of my honour than he, and Allah is more jealous than I [Muslim 3572]

27. The tale-bearer.
It is reported from Hudhaifa that news reached him (the Holy Prophet) that a certain man carried tales. Upon this Hudhaifa remarked: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) saying: The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise. [Muslim 0189]

28. The old man who commits zina.
29. The pauper who is proud
30. Those that give something to you and then use it to harm you.
