Notes: The Reality of al Ghaib- Shaikh Faisal

Surah Baqarah: (The Reality of al Ghaib)
by Shaikh Abdullah Faisal
(morning dars 4.07.11)

Surah Baqarah
1. Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]
2. This is the Book (the Qur'an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]
3. Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakat , spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah's Cause - Jihad, etc.]

Taqwa is to place between yourselves and the wrath of ALLAH ('tala) a barrier by doing what is fard and by abstaining from that which is haraam

People of taqwa believe in the unseen (al ghaib)
Among al ghaib (unseen) is Allah (swt) and Rasul (saws), the human soul, the angels, the punishment of the grave, paradise and hellfire (jannah and naar)

"By Him (Allah) in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, there is none from amongst the Jews and the Christians (of these present nations) who hears about me and then dies without believing in the Message with which I have been sent (i.e. tawheed), but he will be from the dwellers of the (Hell) Fire." [Saheeh Muslim, vol. 1, no. 284]
--Bush/ Blair belong to the Ummah of Muhammad. It is compulsory on them to believe in the message of Islam and that Muhammad is the last messenger/prophet

The most difficult thing that ALLAH ‘tala is asking you to believe in of the al ghaib is to believe in the hell fire, Why is it difficult?

--Because you have to believe that if you reject Muhammad you will be in hellfire
Kaafirs is not the man who doesn’t believe in Allah, the kaafir is the one who doesn’t accept Muhammad:
--Before the Battle of Badr, Muhammad made a dua to Allah and Abu Jahl also made dua so the Arabs would believe in Allah (swt) but they had issues to believe in hereafter and resurrection (because they were too evil in the dunya)
--Jehovah Witness: these people reject the trinity and paganism; they went astray because they denied life after death and they don’t believe in hellfire

--Because you have to believe every time your skin melts out, your skin will be replaced to be burnt again
Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allah is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise. (4:56)

--That’s why Ibn Arabi As-Sufi who was the first Sufi in history and introduced Wahdat al-Wujud‎ to the Muslims (that we can become Allah by being very pious!). He believed that the hellfire would go out and the people of hell-fire would enjoy themselves there same as the people off Jannah!
The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). (20:5)
They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (9:67)
And to Allah belong the east and the west, so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allah (and He is High above, over His Throne). Surely! Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knowing.(2:115)
--Allah is not everywhere, his knowledge encompasses everything (He is on His throne above 7 heavens; He is not in a brothel or a bathroom)!

In order to give proper tafseer>>You need to know
1) Asbab al-nuzul (causes f revelation)
2) Nasikh wal Mansukh (abrogating/abrogated verses)
3) A'am and the Khas (general/specific)
4) Arabic grammar
5) Rhetoric
6) Seerah…

Prerequisites for Salat
1) Face the qiblah
2) Wudu
3) Clean clothing
4) Clean place
5) Fatiha
6) Niyyah

Rasool (saws) asked a slave girl, “Who am I?” She said, "You are Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. And where is Allah? She pointed to the sky and said above the heavens. Rasool (saws) said, "Set her free because she is a believer."

5 believe he was wrong to set her free because Allah is not on his arsh: Tabliqi Jamaat/ Goofy Sufi/ Shia/ Barlevi/ Ashaaira/ Mutazzilah (you have to establish the hujjah against them, but if they still deny, then you have to make takfeer)

When a man asked Imam Malik, “how is Allah on his throne?” Imam Malik said the word “on” is known, how Allah (swt) is over his throne is unknown to us. To believe Allah is on his arsh is wajib. To ask about it is bid'dah. He then said, And I don’t see you anything else except a trouble maker and he kicked him out of the study circle (because hypocrisy is contagious)

--There are people who exaggerate in their knowledge of al-ghaib. Shias believe their imams have full knowledge of al-ghaib
--Even the Rasul was commanded to declare to mankind that he does not have knowledge of al-ghaib except what Allah revealed to him
--> When Ayesha was slandered, Rasul(saw) did not know what to believe (because Rasul did not know the unseen) And when Rasul sought advise of his Sahabah: Ali-->divorce her/ Zayd ibn Harith--> keep her (Many historians say Ayesha fought Ali because of this)
--> At the Battle of Badr- A man promised he would not fight the Muslims if let go as he had daughters to feed, but he broke his promise and came back to kill Sahabahs at the Battle of Uhud. Rasul not know that the man would break his "wallahi" because he did not have knowledge of the unseen)
Say (O Muhammad): "I possess no power of benefit or hurt to myself except as Allah wills. If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib (unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth, and no evil should have touched me. I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings unto people who believe (7:188)

--How can imams have knowledge of the unseen? Shiite Imams begin with: Ali--> Hasan. Shiites believe that their Imams have knowledge of the unseen, yet Hasan died by eating a plate of food with poison, if he had knowledge of the unseen, Hasan committed suicide) Hussain went to Karbala to get his head chopped off, if he had knowledge of the unseen, Hussain committed suicide
Verily, Allâh! With Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allâh is AllKnower, AllAware (of things). (31:34)

5 things Only Allah Knows
1. Allah 'tala alone knows when is the Day of Judgment
2. Allah (swt) alone knows exact weather conditions (ie. no one can predict)
3. Only Allah (swt) knows what is the nature of what's in the womb of a mother
4. No soul knows what you will earn tomorrow
5. No soul knows in what land it will die

Shiites always try to veto Allah
