Notes: Why the Qur'an is a Wise Book- Shaikh Faisal

Why the Qur'an is a Wise Book: (Contd> 10-16)
Shaikh Abdullah Faisal
(evening dars 4.02.11)

10. Qur’an doesn’t put on us a burden more than we can bear
Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope (2:286)
11. Qur’an coincides with all of our natural instincts
So set you (O Muhammad saws) your face towards the religion (of pure Islamic Monotheism) Hanif (worship none but Allah Alone). Allah's Fitrah (i.e. Allah's Islamic Monotheism) with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalq-illah (30:30)
--Some practices that were forbidden before are halal now (ie polygamy and trade and usury is now haraam
Allah has permitted trading and forbidden Riba (usury). 2:275
Those who eat Ribâ (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Ribâ (usury)," whereas Allâh has permitted trading and forbidden Ribâ (usury) (2:275)
12. Qur’an was revealed in a rhythmic form to make it easy to memorize
And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? (54:17)
13. Qur’an came down gradually to make it easy to understand, memorize, and practice
14. Qur’an was revealed to solve immediate problems / dilemmas the Rasool (saw) faced
--The kuffar slander the prophet Muhammad (saws), Aisha (ra) and even Allah ‘tala
ifk = a great slander
Verily those who brought forth the slander (against 'Aishah ra) the wife of the Prophet (saws) are a group among you. (24:11)
The Shia believe that at the time of Mahdi’s return Imam Mahdi will resurrect 'Aisha (Prophet Mohammad’s wife) and execute the law of Hudud on her, for committing Zina (adultery) during her marriage. (Al-Anwar Al-Numaniyah, vol. 1, p. 161, Tafsir al-Shafi, vol. 2, p.108, Haq al-Yaqeen, vol. 2, p. 256, Hayat al-Qulub, vol. 2, p. 611)
The Shia believes man can has sex with animals:
“A man can have sex with animals such as sheep, cows, camels and so on. However he should kill the animal after he has his orgasm. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village, however selling the meat to the next door village should be fine." -Ayatollah Khomeini, Tahrirolvasyleh, fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990. From Khomeini's book, "Tahrirolvasyleh"
Then Shaitan (Satan) whispered to him, saying: "O Adam! Shall I lead you to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that will never waste away?" (20:120)
(Allah) said: "What prevented you (O Iblis) that you did not prostrate yourself, when I commanded you?" Iblis said: "I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay." (7:12)
“The best of stories through Our Revelations unto you, of this Qur'an. And before this (i.e. before the coming of Divine Inspiration to you), you were among those who knew nothing about it (the Qur'an). (12:3)
So they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back. (2:25)
15. There is not a subject the Qur’an has not addressed
--Qur’anic science, Qur’anic history, Qur’anic grammar, Qur’anic rhetoric, (revealed in a poetic rhythmic form for easy memorization yet it is not poetry), Qur’anic sociology, Qur’anic psychiatry, etc.
--The Qur’an is free from all errors!
--The Qur’an repeats/reaffirms itself
Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 2. His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 3. He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 4. And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (saws) , or use to slander him) 5. In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). (Surah 111)
16. Qur’an is a history book
There are 3 reasons why history repeats itself:
1. Human nature doesn’t change (man will always worship his desires)
2. Strategy of the shaytaan doesn’t change (“their hearts are alike” 2-118)
The shaytaan takes you away from the straight path in stages: uses free-mixing-->lust-->zina-->murder-->lying-->tawwakul-->shirk
(the story of the monk indicates how shaytaan operates; he died the death of a mushrik)
3. The way of Allah doesn’t change
