Eat with the Pious - Shaikh Faisal

Tafseer Surah Baqarah: You should only sit and eat with the Pious

Shaikh Abdullah Faisal

-- Last dars, we stopped at ayah: Surah Baqarah 2:74

Then your hearts became hardened after that, being like stones or even harder. For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth, and there are some of them that split open and water comes out, and there are some of them that fall down for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do. (2:74)

-- There is no guarantee that miracles will make a person soft hearted

-- There is evidence in the Quran that people who saw miracles remained hard hearted

-- Surah Qamar 54:1-2

The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]. And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic." (54:1, 2)

-- This incident is so important : Allah mentioned it : Qamar 54:1-2

Hadith Rasool Salah Allahu alayhi wasalam

During the lifetime of the Prophet the moon was split into two parts and on that the Prophet said, "Bear witness (to thus)."Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 830

-- when the moon split : you would think the kuffar would take Shahadah (embrace Islam) : but they accused Muhammed salah Allahu alahye wasalam of black magic

-- when a person wants to remain a kaafir : they will find a million excuses remaining a kaafir, (as their hearts are sealed)

-- Allah spoke about the Jews in Surah Baqarah : not only Jews. other nations are hard hearted

-- when a person has a hard heart : their hearts are also sealed, kufr and nifaq will not come out, Islam and eeman will never enter such a heart

-- the people of Saleh asked for a miracle : they saw a pregnant she-camel born from a rock (miracle)

-- they complained that the camel was drinking too much water

-- the camel would have been able to provide milk for the inhabitants of London or new York

-- Saleh : said : Shams 91:11-15

Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression, When the most wretched of them was sent forth. And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink." But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]. And He does not fear the consequence thereof. (91:11-15)

-- when Saleh heard that the people were plotting to kill this camel : which was a miracle from Allah

-- he told them not to : it was the camel of Allah

-- when the camel went to the well to drink they killed the camel

-- this story is a proof that a miracle is not a guarantee that a people will be soft hearted

-- Allah rescued Bani Israel from Firawn, and drowned him in front of their eyes in the rest sea

-- Ashura day : 10th Muharram

-- day of fasting for the Jews

The Prophet came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, “This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day.”

The Prophet said, “We have more claim over Moses than you.” So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day). (Sahih Bukhari: Book #31, Hadith #222)

-- when Musa hit the rock, 12 springs gushed forth : 12 sons of Jacob. 12 tribes of Israel : when they suffered the heat of the sun, Allah used the clouds as umbrellas

-- they were sent manna and quail from the sky

-- Al Baqarah 2:73

So, We said, "Strike the slain man with part of it." Thus does Allah bring the dead to life, and He shows you His signs that you might reason. (2:73)

Then your hearts became hardened after that, being like stones or even harder. For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth, and there are some of them that split open and water comes out, and there are some of them that fall down for fear of Allah . And Allah is not unaware of what you do. (2:74)

-- Allah tells the Jews : you have seen this miracle; then you became hard hearted

-- look at what Allah has given sun , moon, stars rain .. all these blessings

-- without water you will all die

-- Allah sends this water from sky to germinate your crops, gives you oxygen to breathe, how can you be hard hearted

-- Albert Einstein was a Jew, he believed in God, they say he was the greatest scientist : he said "God doesn’t play dice, and God does not guess"

-- some Muslims have hard hearts : when was the last time you heard a story of a prophet and you cried ??

-- when was the last time you heard a story of a female Sahabah and cried..

-- Musab ibn Umair: (the people didn’t like him being a strange man in their town) when those same people went to study with him they embraced Islam

-- (the following Hadith is one of those who waited till the battle of Badr to embrace Islam)

Sahih Bukhari 4:52:63 "A man came to the Prophet and said, 'Shall I Fight or embrace Islam first?' The Prophet said, 'Embrace Islam and then fight.' He became a Muslim and was died shaheed The Prophet said, 'A little work, but a great reward.

-- Musab ibn Umair, fought in battle of Badr, and at Uhud

-- he carried the flag (he was tall) they chopped off his hand : he used other hand to carry flag

-- when he died the Rasool said he saw 70 thousand angels to take his body to Jannah

-- When did you last cry for Islam?

-- two sets of eyes : Allah has made it haraam on the hell fire to burn those sets of eyes :

Ibn Abbas related that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) saying: “The fire will not touch the two pairs of eyes; one that sheds tears out of fear of Allah and the other that keeps watch throughout the night in the cause of Allah.” (Nasai, Tirmidhi)

-- Khawla bint al Azwar : used to fight on horse in the front line : in the day time : she used to keep watch over the Muslims at night

-- al muraabit : the one who watches the borders of Islamic state while Muslims are sleeping (plural: al muraabitoon )

-- it is haraam on the fire to burn the eyes that cry for Allah

7 people who are under the shade of Allah:

There are seven whom Allaah will shade in His Shade on the Day when there is no shade except His Shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up in the worship of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; two men who love each other for Allaah's sake, meeting for that and parting upon that; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], but be says: 'I fear Allaah', a man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allaah in private and so his eyes shed tears.' Narrated by Abu Hurairah & collected in Saheeh al-Bukhari (English trans.) vol.1, p.356, no.629 & Saheeh Muslim (English trans.) Vol.2, p.493, No.2248

-- if you practice al walaa wal baraa in the dunya : you will be under the shade of Allah

-- the Quran is a corrupted book

-- Shia believes that the Quran is a corrupted book !!

The present Quran is in an altered, corrupted and distorted form.. (Fatuhat-e-Shia, p. 129)

-- if you love a person for the sake of Allah you practiced the best love : spiritual love

-- physical love - chemistry / emotional love - parents and siblings / love from Allah - Divine Love (it is from Allah to you) / unconditional love – haraam!

--unconditional love - this love is haraam : love is for the sake of Allah.

-- kuffar practice unconditional love

-- we only love those who are friends of Allah / Islam / Muslims

-- John Walker Lindh : His mother said she doesn’t care is her son is a Buddhist, Hindu, or Muslim, “I love him (her son) conditionally”

-- white people who take Shahadah do not (always) lose the love of their parents = white (kuffar)

-- the ex wife of Michael Jackson took his side, people were shocked

--this is a sign of unconditional love

-- as a Muslim mother you cannot say that (feel this way) : your son apostates from Islam :

--it is haraam to love him unconditionally

-- Muslims practice al walaa wal baraa : we love and hate for the sake of Allah

-- you will have to reply "he is not longer my son"

-- when the son of Nuh (Noah) was in the sea drowning : Nuh called out "my son my son"

-- Allah said he is not of your family (not your son)

-- Huwa Laysa min Ahlak : he is not of your family

He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant. (11:46)

-- this unconditional love that kuffar practice is haraam for Muslims

-- there are 3 types of love for Muslims

-- physical : spiritual : emotional (love

-- when Rasool (saw) loved his uncle Abu Taalib : that was emotional love : he didn’t fight against Islam (Abu Taalib) so it was halal love

-- he was supporting Islam (even though he was a kaafir)

-- a Muslim sister is allowed to love a brother spiritually : : it’s different from physical love

-- khula (divorce woman instigates) for no chemistry

-- if a woman asks for khula she must return her Mahr (dowry)

The wife of Thabit bin Qais came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I do not blame Thabit for defects in his character or his religion, but I, being a Muslim, dislike behaving in un-Islamic manner (if I remain with him)." On that Allah's Apostle said (to her), "Will you give back the garden which your husband has given you (as Mahr)?" She said, "Yes." Then the Prophet said to Thabit, "O Thabit! Accept your garden, and divorce her once." Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 63, Number 197.

-- she couldn’t find any fault in his deen : but there was no chemistry:

--she loved him as a Muslim brother

-- faskh (divorce woman instigates ) for bad treatment (the husband is bad)

-- he has evil character : she may keep her Mahr in this type of divorce

-- we (Muslims) do not love anyone unconditionally

-- Allah told Nuh in Surah Hud 11:46

He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant. (11:46)

[Noah] said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers." (11:47)

-- worst thing for a parent is not to see them being knocked over by a car :

-- The WORST THING that can happen is to see your child apostate from Islam

-- when Nuh saw his son drowning : he didn’t want to admin that his son was a kaafir

-- he cried out to Allah to protect his son

-- Allah admonished Nuh : not to be of the Jâhilûn : (ignorant )

-- the boy was hard hearted : he was a mu’tazila [ rationalist ( he used his aql ) ] :

--he laughed at his father..

--he thought the mountain would be enough to save him from the Wrath Of Allah

-- he died a kaafir :-- even a son of a prophet can die as a kaafir ( not only his son : but his wife too )

-- 2 prophets had kaafir wives : Nuh and Lut

FABRICATED HADITH

if you sit with a person who is going to paradise, you will go to paradise : the scholars of Islam have refuted it. the wives of Nuh and Lut sat with their husbands, yet they are in hell-fire ( they died on kufr)

-- Hadith : you should only eat with righteous people

-- when you eat with someone you become relaxed, ( lower your threshold )

-- Do not sit and eat with someone =unless they are righteous people

The Prophet, Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam said, "Do not take someone as a friend, unless he is a believer, and nobody should eat your food unless he is pious."

Blowing Up Russia by Alexander Litvinenko

-- in the book he said that Vladimir Putin (president of Russia) planted bombs : and it exposed the actions of the government corruption, and the keg

-- 2 KGB officers met him ( after he exposed them)

-- they poisoned him with polonium 210 -- he died without a hair on his head

-- wouldn’t you smell a rat? you would not go alone ? If your enemies call you to meet with them after you have exposed them.

-- HERE IS THE BOOK http://www.ocnus.net/cgi-bin/exec/view.cgi?archive=106&num=27035

-- every time Shaikh does a talk about a group : he always gets death threats

-- no one likes to be exposed

-- people live double lives, they do not like to be exposed

The Prophet, Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam said, "Do not take someone as a friend, unless he is a believer, and nobody should eat your food unless he is pious." (41:4832) Abu Dawud

-- sometimes you have to turn down an invitation : there may be music, alcohol, free mixing
