-63- Fatal Attraction, part 2

Fatal Attraction, part 2
by Shaikh Abdullah Faisal

(evening dars: 6.5.11)

The definition of FATAL ATTRACTION:
--you're madly in love w/ someone and you say,
--‘you can not be with anyone else but me
--or I will kill you!’
--'fatal' means death
--you are crazy about someone to the extent you're prepared to kill for that love

--a man is married to a woman for 15 years, then she wants to divorce him and move on
--she found someone to move on to and this is very painful for the husband
--he might say, 'if you leave me, I will kill you and him’ or
--'I can't cope w/ that'
--sometimes he will kill himself (or himself and her; or himself, her and her lover)

Shaikh in the UK:
--a woman moved on from one of Shaikh's friends to another
--Shaikh was in limbo [middle ground] over this situation
--he didn't perform the new marriage because the other guy was coming out of jahiliyya
--so there was a chance of fatal attraction
--people kill for sex: this is known as ‘fatal attraction’

Cain and Abel:
--both of them were born w/ twin sisters
--the law of Adam was that each turn over his sister to each other
--Cain was refusing because he thought his sister was more beautiful
--he asked his father to change the law but Adam said,
--'make a sacrifice and if God accepts it, I will change the law'
--Allah didn't accept Cain's offering because it wasn’t a good offering

Al-Maeda 5:27
And (O Muhammad SAW) recite to them (the Jews) the story of the two sons of Adam (Hâbil and Qâbil — Abel and Cain)] in truth; when each offered a sacrifice (to Allâh), it was accepted from the one but not from the other. The latter said to the former: "I will surely kill you.[]" The former said: "Verily, Allâh accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2)." (27)

Al-Maeda 5:28
"If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you, for I fear Allâh; the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists)." (28)

--Abel said to Cain, ‘if you kill me, you will carry my sins on the Day of Judgment’

Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "None is killed unjustly, but the first son of Adam will have a part of its burden." Sufyan said, "...a part of its blood because he was the first to establish the tradition of murdering." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 92, Number 423)

Shaikh in Belmarsh Prison (UK):
--Shaikh met many men who killed their wives or girlfriends or their lovers

Examples of the 7 types of Fatal Attraction:
1. A man kills himself
2. A man kills the man his wife loves (his rival)

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), “I have not left behind me any fitnah (temptation) more harmful to men than women.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5096; Muslim, 2740

3. A woman cuts off the genitalia of her husband [she is possessive over her husband]

4. A man kills the woman who rejects him
--'if I can't have you, no one else can!'

5. A man kills the woman who rejects him, and then, kills himself
--some people can't cope w/ rejection
--this is a double murder

6. A man kills the woman who rejects him; then, he kills his rival, and then, himself
--this is a triple murder

7. A man kills the woman who rejects him (and he kills her lover, her kids and himself)
--this is a quadruple murder

8th type = in the animal kingdom (2 love rivals)
-- a whale in the US committed suicide
--dolphins and whales are mammals not fish so they have some feelings we (humans) have

Another story of Fatal Attraction: Al-Baqarah 2:67

And when Moses said unto his people: Lo! Allah commandeth you that ye sacrifice a cow, they said: Dost thou make game of us? He answered: Allah forbid that I should be among the foolish! Al-Baqarah 2:67

--Allah told Musa [Prophet and Messenger] to have his people sacrifice a cow
--the people were rebellious and didn’t immediately obey
--why couldn't the people just hear and obey [as the Sahabahs did]
--they weren't convinced that killing a cow would solver a murder mystery

The murder mystery: a boy and his cousin
--the boy’s cousin was beautiful and he wanted to marry her
--but the uncle said GET LOST
--the boy was a loser [no job, no skills or ambition]
--the boy was offended (not everyone can cope w/ rejection gracefully)
--but look at Bilal: if he asked someone to marry him and she said yes,
--he'd say Alhumdulillah
--and if she said no, he'd say, Allahu akbar
--either way, Bilal accepted Allah’s qadr (destiny)
--the Sahabahs believe in qadr (Allah's pre-destination) and they didn't suffer 'fatal attraction'

The boy decided to use [one stone to kill 4 birds]; he planned to:
1) kill his uncle
2) pin the murder on a neighbor
3) marry his cousin
4) take the uncle’s wealth (and the blood money from the neighbor)

--he expected the neighbor to pay him blood money for killing the uncle [blood money = dia]
--the boy killed the uncle and planted the body of the uncle on the door of the neighbor
--the neighbor refused to accept guilt so they went to Musa to argue their case

--he sought refuge in Allah for this decision / judgment
--he told them to kill a cow [they wondered, 'why should we kill a cow; how is that relevant?']
--he told them to sacrifice a yellow cow [not old and not young] - he was specific
--but they asked him twice 'what type of cow?'

And (remember) when ye slew a man and disagreed concerning it and Allah brought forth that which ye were hiding. (Al-Baqarah 2:72)

He was specific: the color and age of the cow
--but they asked him 2x about the cow (this is ‘taking a micky’)
--more specifics: a cow that can toil the fields, is yellow and not old/young
--but they argued
--if they had sacrificed ANY type of cow, He [swt] would have accepted it
--but they were rebellious and argued and asked excessive questions

--when the goods are plentiful, it destroys the price
--a farmer w/ a rare cow can ask any price for the cow because
--he is the only one w/ a yellow cow!
--he asked for the equivalent in gold (a ton of gold, which was difficult for the Jews to pay)
--if you "take a micky” w/ Allah - He will make it difficult for you

--take a piece of meat from the dead cow and put it on the dead man
--then the man will come back to life and reveal who kill him (his assailant)
--the people rushed to the man to ask who killed him: he said, 'my nephew'
--a man killed another man because he couldn't have the woman he wanted

1. the Jews had no respect for the Prophets and Messengers of Allah subhan’watala
2. they had no respect for Allah (swt)
3. they were rebellious to Allah's Hakimiyya (commandments)
4. in the Shariah of Musa and Muhammad (saws), it's halal to marry a 1st cousin
--in many western societies, it’s illegal to marry a 1st cousin
--we can't tell a girl to wait till age of 18 to get married [it's a ridiculous law]

5. not everyone can cope w/ rejection gracefully
--some of the rejected people commit suicide
--if a woman wants to destroy a man, the best way is to leave her husband, then
--marry another and tell your 1st husband that your new husband is more satisfying
--don't puncture the male ego
--don't talk to your 2nd husband about your 1st husband
--this is emotional abuse

6. fatal attraction causes people to kill without even thinking
7. the ummah of Muhammad (pbuh) is more submissive than the ummah of Musa
--when the Jews were told to sacrifice the cow, they were rebellious
--the Sahabahs would said, “we hear and we obey”

8. it's haraam to ask excessive questions in regard to deen

"What I have forbidden to you, avoid; what I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. It was only their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets that destroyed those who were before you." Hadith # 9 An-Nawawi's Forty Hadiths

9. weak eeman causes you to rebel against Allah’s Hakimiyya
--don't say "but..." ... just hear and obey the commands of Allah tala

10. when you become difficult w/ Allah, He becomes difficult w/ you
11. people will kill for s-x = past, present and future

12. miracles are not a guarantee that people will believe
--even after the Jews saw the dead man come back to life, they were still hard-hearted
--people become proud and arrogant and they still don't believe

Al-Baqarah 2:74
Then, after that, your hearts were hardened and became as stones or even worse in hardness. And indeed, there are stones out of which rivers gush forth, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which split asunder so that water flows from them, and indeed, there are of them (stones) which fall down for fear of Allâh. And Allâh is not unaware of what you do. (2:74)

During the lifetime of the Prophet the moon was split into two parts and on that the Prophet said, "Bear witness (to thus)."Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 830

Al-Qamar 54:1
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). (54:1)

And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic." (2) “What I have forbidden for you, avoid. What I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. For verily, it was only the excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their Prophets that destroyed [the nations] who were before you” (Agreed Upon) Hadith No. 9 from 40 Hadith

King Herod of Palestine had a niece - her name was Herodya
--she was pitiful, appalling and pathetic
--Herod and his niece fell in love w/ each other and wanted to marry
--this would be an incestuous relationship and is haraam
--Prophet Yahya was alive at the time and he had to command the good and forbid evil
--so he forbade them from marrying because it was haraam
--in Shariah law, the head is chopped off when there is incest
--[ex. uncle marrying niece]

Herodya was a dancer
--Herod said, ‘if you dance for me I will give you ANYTHING’
--she asked him for the head of Prophet Yahya on a silver platter
--Herod had Yahya arrested and his head chopped off
--historians say it would have been better to break his promise to his niece [dancer]

The ultimate aphrodisiac is power
--she was willing to have anyone killed in order to have her love [her uncle]
--so Prophet Yahya was killed for sex because 2 Jews wanted to satisfy their haraam lust

2 types of lust:
1) lusting for your wife/husband
2) lusting for girlfriend, etc

Ali, the caliph:
--he was killed for s-x, as well
--at the Battle of Nahruwaan (near Baghdad), only 9 remained alive
--so the Sahabahs wanted to have revenge on the Khawarijj
--and the Khawarijj wanted to kill Ali ibn Abi Talib, Mu’awiyah and Amr al-Aas
--Abu Muljim was one of 3 Khawarijj sent out to kill Ali, Mu’awiyah and Amr al-Aas
--(because there were no TVs then), it was easy to mix up people and kill the wrong man
--when Abu Muljim killed the wrong man, he blamed it on Allah tala!
--he was a Jabriyya (fatalist)
--example of fatalist: 'if I cheat on my wife, blame Allah, not me, Allah predestined it'
--Ali ibn Abi Talib was killed when Abu Muljim attacked the mosque of Kufa
