1. kaana ahmad fil masjid
Ahmad was in the masjid

2. kaanat fatima fis-sooq
Faatima was in the market

3. kaana at-tabeeb fil mustawsaf
The doctor was in the clinic

4. kuntu fis-saydaliyya
I was in the chemist

5. kuntu fee hadeeqatil hayawaanaat
I was at the zoo

6. kuntu masrooran ams
I was happy yesterday

7. kuntu jaw'aan Qabla saa'a
I was hungry an hour ago

8. kuntu atshaan khilaal sawm ramadan, liannee sumtu fis-saif
I was thirsty during the fast of Ramadhaan because i fasted in summer

9. kunnaa fee makkah qabla sana
We were in Makkah a year ago / last year

10. kaanat zaynab fil mathaf qabla saa'atain
Zaynab was in the museum two hours ago

11. kunnaa nadhab ilal kanisa Qabla ashara sanawaat bal al aan aslamnaa
We used to go to the church ten years ago, but now we have embraced Islaam

12. kunnaa alaa shaatiul Bahr qabla shahr wal aan ureed nuzha fir-Reef ma'a ahlee
We were by the sea side a month ago / last month, and now i want to have a picnic at the countryside with my family

13. kunnaa fil mal'ab qabla arba'a saa'aat
We were at the stadium four hours ago

14. kunnaa fil jihad fee Afghanistan didd ash-shuyoo'3ee qabla ishreen sana
We were in Jihaad in Afghanistan against the communists twenty years ago

15. kaana al muslimoon mustad'afeen fee makkah bal asbahoo aqwiyaa ba'da al hijra
The Muslims were weak in Makkah, but they became strong after the Hijra (migration)

16. kaana Umar khalifa aadil
Umar was a just Khaleefa

17. al islam naaj thalaatha ayyaam youm Badr, youm Qaatala abu bakr maani'3een az-zakah wa youm haaraba ahmad ibn hanbal al mu'tazila
Islaam was victorious on three days; the day of Badr, the day Aboo Bakr fought those who refused to pay Zakaah and the day Ahmad Ibn Hanbal refuted / fought the Mu3tazila

18. al islam ya'loo wa laa yu’laa alaihi
Islaam is superior and nothing can surpass it / is superior over it

19. al kuffaar yakhaafoon minal islam liannahu nidhaam kaamil wal hal likulli mushkila fil hayaat
The Kuffaar fear Islaam because it is a complete system and a solution for every problem in life

20. man yuhaarib al islam fa innahu adow Allah
Whoever fights against Islaam is an enemy of Allaah

21. innallatheena kafaroo yunfiqoona amwaalahum liyasuddoo an sabeelillah
Verily those who disbelieve spend their wealth so that they may prevent people from the way of Allaah

22. wa'ada Allah al islam mustaqbal adheem
Allaah has promised Islaam a great future

23. wadda katheer min ahlil kitaab law yaruddoonakum min ba'di eemaanikum kuffaaraa hasad min anfusihim
Many of the people of the book wish to turn you away from your Imaan as disbelievers, out of envy from themselves

24. Qad aflaha al mu'minoon, allatheena hum fee salaatihim khaashi'oon
Surely the believers have succeeded, those who are humble in their Salaah

25. wallatheena hum anil lagw mu'ridoon
And those who turn away from futile speech / vain talk

26. wallatheena hum li furoojihim 7aafidhoon
And those who guard their private parts

27. Qad badatil bagdaa min afwaahihim wa maa tukhfee sudooruhum akbar
Hatred has appeared from their mouths and what their hearts conceal is greater

28. afa kullamaa jaa'akum rasool bimaa laa tahwaa anfusukum istakbartum, fa fareeq kadhabtum wa fareeq taqtuloon
Whenever a messenger came to you whom you did not want, you became arrogant, and a group from amongst you rejected and a group killed (them)

29. al maal wal banoon zeenatul hayaat ad-dunya
Wealth and children are the adornments of this worldly life

30. laa yu'minu ahadukum hatta yuhibba li akheehi maa yuhibbu li nafsihi
None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself

31. kun fid-dunyaa ka'annaka ghareeb aw aabir as-sabeel
Be in this world as if you a stranger or a traveller

32. khud min sihhatik li maradik wa min hayaatik li mawtik
Take advantage of your health before illness, and of your life before death

33. tunka7 al mar'a li arba'a li jamaalihaa wa maalihaa wa nasabihaa wa deenihaa
A woman is married for four reasons; her beauty, wealth, lineage and her deen

34. atazawwaj an-nisaa fa man raghiba an sunnatee fa laysa minnee
I marry women, and whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me

35. kullu shart fin-nikah halal illa maa harrama halal aw hallala haraam
Every condition in Nikaah is permissible except what makes Halaal haraam or haraam Halaal
