JUDGMENT DAY has many names
-the scholars compiled many names and the Day of Resurrection is one of them
-the Day of Coming Out [of their graves]
-the Day of Sorting Out / Decision

Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, (An-Naba 78:17)

In the dunya, we differed about our creed and fiqh and so in Judgment Day,
-Allah 'tala decides who is right or wrong in their creed / fiqh
-Yawm at-Taghabun: great loss for the Kuffar
-the Day of Loss and Gain [for us] (gain for the Believers)
-The Great Inevitable Event
-The Ultimate Reality
-The Day of Reckoning
-The Great Calamity

We are here today to discuss al-Qari'ah (great calamity)
-this was revealed in Makkah
-those surahs are short and invite to tawheed
-those revealed in Madinah are long and invite to Shariah [darul Islam]

The Sunnah of Allah is to invite people to tawheed in darul harb
-in the UK and USA
-in Saudi Arabia, we invite to Shariah, for example
-if this is not your manhaj, you are wrong

Look at Pakistan: pitiful place, so we invite them to tawheed
-these Barelvis worship the graves besides Allah 'tala
-we invite them to Shariah simultaneously

Average Pakistani is Barelvis [believing in the grave]
-or a Goofi Sufi who believes in union only
-or Deobandi, who don't believe Allah is over the arsh or Qadiyani,
-who believe Mirzan Ghulam is a prophet AFTER Muhammad (saws)
-maybe 1% of the people there have the correct aqeeda

So, this surah is short, to the point and re: tawheed

Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), (Al-Qari'ah 101:1)

What is the striking (Hour)? (Al-Qari'ah 101:2)

And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? (Al-Qari'ah 101:3)

It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, (Al-Qari'ah 101:4)

And the mountains will be like carded wool, (Al-Qari'ah 101:5)

Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, (Al-Qari'ah 101:6)

He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). (Al-Qari'ah 101:7)

But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, (Al-Qari'ah 101:8)

He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). (Al-Qari'ah 101:9)

And what will make you know what it is? (Al-Qari'ah 101:10)

(It is) a hot blazing Fire! (Al-Qari'ah 101:11)

What is the calamity and how can we understand it?

-it's a day when mankind will be like MOTHS that fly around the light bulbs
-they are [neither coming nor going]
-the mountains will be like carded wool...

The beauty of the Holy Qur'an is that Allah asks us a question,
-and then He (swt) provides an answer
-what is the calamity, then He (swt) tells us what it is
-if you live in hot countries, you'll understand about these MOTHS
-this tafseer is the Qur'an explaining the Qur'an

-Surah 101 is a prime example of this type of tafseer

-it's he who taught us how to recite Surah Fatiha
-it's to be recited in every salah or its bautil

Narrated By 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 12, Hadith #723]

...And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment. (Al-Hashr 59:7)

-the purpose of Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)
-is to explain to use the Holy Qur'an
-Allah 'tala commands us TO pray but Muhammad (pbuh) told us HOW to pray

-the kursi is the footstool

And by the sun and its brightness; (Ash-Shams 91:1)

And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); (Ash-Shams 91:2)

You can't be a person who explains the Qur'an
-unless you're firmly grounded in Arabic
-Zamakhshari used Arabic to explain the Qur'an
-Shinqiti used Quran to explain Qur'an
-Tabari used Hadeeth to explain Holy Qur'an
-Ibn Kathir used the words of the Sahabahs (and hadeeth)
-to explain the Holy Qur'an

Fakhru deen ar-Raazi (he was a Mu’tazilite, who rationalizes everything)
-they try to explain "Alif lam Meem"
-we say to the Mu'tazilite, 'you say you can explain Alif lam Meem,
even though Muhammad (saws) didn't explain it)?
-Alif = Allah Lam = Gabriel Meem = Muhammad = Mu'tazilites view

The 5th tafseer [aql] is haraam
-they were influenced by the Greek philosophers
-we're not to explain the Qur'an w/ our own opinion,
-as the Christians explain the Bible
-so some worship on Sunday / others Saturday
-some say Jesus IS God / some say he is the son of God
-we're not reducing Islam to total chaos, such as Christianity

Look at the Parvezis - Hadeeth rejecters
-the Hadith explains the Qur'an
-but they want to give the Qur'an their own tafseer
-so al-Qari'ah is an example of Qur'an explaining Qur'an

Judgment Day has 50 names and al-Qari'ah is just one of them
-man will be frightened on this day

-only the kuffaar will be on earth during this day
-anyone who has "la ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasool Allah"
-on their breath will die a peaceful death
-no Muslims will be on earth on Judgment Day

The 1st person to hear the trumpet is a man preparing water to irrigate his animals

O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgment) is a terrible thing. (Al-Hajj 22:1)

The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah. (Al-Hajj 22:2)

-there will be a huge earthquake on earth when the trumpet is blown
-pregnant women will give birth to their child
-and they will abandon their baby, same as nursing mothers,
-will abandon their nursing
-this is how terrible al-Qari’ah is

People will walk around as if they are intoxicated, but they are not drunk
-the punishment on this day is SEVERE torment
-when we see people falling over on the ground, vomiting on themselves
-this is how they walk around on Judgment Day

Then how can you avoid the punishment, if you disbelieve, on a Day that will make the children grey-headed (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)? (Al-Muzzammil 73:17)

-we can't avoid the punishment on Judgment Day
-children's hair will turn white, the way old men's hair does

Judgment day is a calamity ....
-we won't have anymore family ties when the trumpet is blown
-we won't care about each other

Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. (Al-Mu'minun 23:101)

Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), ('Abasa 80:33)

That Day shall a man flee from his brother, ('Abasa 80:34)

And from his mother and his father, ('Abasa 80:35)

And from his wife and his children. ('Abasa 80:36)

Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. ('Abasa 80:37)

-we will have enough on our plate to care only about ourselves
-some of you embraced Islam at a young age,
-such as Shaikh reverted when he was 16
-so some of us experience 50 Ramadans and on Judgment Day,
-our mum's will ask us for 1 Ramadan
-we will say, "I can't, what if I give you one and I need it for myself?"
-some will ask us for salah or Ramadan or maybe even hajj -
-but we will say I'M SORRY, I MIGHT NEED IT
-we will run from our mum's and father's and brothers
-and kids and even spouses
-we will even run away from our kids that we carried for 9 months
-the calamity and what is it and what will bring it to our awareness?
-we all love our mothers and wives and kids,
-but that day will make us turn away from them

Then how can you avoid the punishment, if you disbelieve, on a Day that will make the children grey-headed (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)? (Al-Muzzammil 73:17)

So, we're gonna be like the flies
/ moths around light bulbs
-the only person who wont' be reduced to
-this pathetic state is THE MUJAHIDEEN
-those showing off w/ money and cars and homes and all their dunya titles
-they will be like the flies on the light bulbs

Kaafirs like to show off
-they like fancy clothes and shows {Manolo Blahnik for $5,000 USD}
-same thing for Ferrari cars
-the dunya is a prison for the believer but a Jannah for the kuffaar

Narrated Abu Huraira, the Prophet (saw) said, “The dunya is a prison for the believers and Paradise for the kaafir (disbeliever),” [Sahih Muslim, vol.4, #7058

Do you think if Abu Bakr and Umar were alive
-that they would wear VERSACE clothes?
-some people can't cope when Shaikh quotes this hadith
-"Jahanaam Jahanaam Jahanaam" - bring this hadith
-the sun will stop shining, the pregnant camel will be abandoned

Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!" (An-Naba 78:40)

When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). (At-Takwir 81:1)

And when the stars shall fall; (At-Takwir 81:2)

And when the mountains shall made to pass away; (At-Takwir 81:3)

And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; (At-Takwir 81:4)

And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; (At-Takwir 81:5)

And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; (At-Takwir 81:6)

Ibn Abbass said ... the majority of the world is ocean, not land,
-but Allah will throw the stars in the oceans and they will dry up [the oceans]
-we're impressed w/ mountains

-there is Mt Kilimanjaro [so tall]
-people come from all over to climb these mountains
-they want to show off, "I'm the 1st to conquest Mt Everest"
-but these mountains that we're impressed with,

And the mountains will be like carded wool, (Al-Qari'ah 101:5)

-on Judgment Day, they will be like wool
-the wind will have these mountains 'coming and going'
-this is al-Qari’ah = the great calamity
-we're impressed w/ them now but we won't be then

Some people worship the sun and call themselves sun-worshippers
-in the summer time in Paris or the UK,
-you can't go to the parks because the women barely wear clothes
-if we wear hijab and niqaab, they will arrest us
-and fine us $250 because pious clothing is illegal
-this is because the kaafir gora is the shaitan
-the stars are being thrown into the seas and oceans
-they will blaze w/ fire

We will have a huge eclipse [75:1-12] and there will be no escape for us

I swear by the Day of Resurrection; (Al-Qiyamah 75:1)

And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). (Al-Qiyamah 75:2)

Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? (Al-Qiyamah 75:3)

Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. (Al-Qiyamah 75:4)

Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. (Al-Qiyamah 75:5)

He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" (Al-Qiyamah 75:6)

So, when the sight shall be dazed, (Al-Qiyamah 75:7)

And the moon will be eclipsed, (Al-Qiyamah 75:8)

And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) (Al-Qiyamah 75:9)

On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" (Al-Qiyamah 75:10)

No! There is no refuge! (Al-Qiyamah 75:11)

Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. (Al-Qiyamah 75:12)

The sun will lose its light;

-the moon has no light of its own, as it reflects from the sun
-the Qur'an says the moon is a muneer [reflector] [not a light of it's own]
-and this scientific fact was revealed to an unlettered man, Muhammad (saws)

And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if you (really) worship Him. (Fussilat 41:37)

When the kuffaar say we worship
the moon or sun God, we use 41:37 to checkmate them
-the kuffaar say we worship the crescent
-if we worship Allah subhan'watala, then use this ayah to correct the kuffaar

The star and crescent are NOT Islamic signs; some Muslim countries just have it
-it's not the sign of Islam, look at the sign on the Saudi flag:
-a sword and "la ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasool Allah"
-our livelihood is under the spear / sword

Narrates by Ibn Omar: "the Prophet said: "I was sent by the sword proceeding the judgment day and my livelihood is in the shadow of my spear and humiliation and submission are on those who disobey me" [Musnad Imam Ahmed (vol. 2, p. 50)]

At first, the dead will be resurrected in the clothes that they died in (Ibn Hibban-sahih), but will later be removed so that everybody during the assembly will be naked, uncircumcised and barefoot. Aishah r.a was wondering how is it that men and women will not be ashamed of seeing each other being naked. Prophet replied that the they are too afraid of what is coming that they don't even bother to look at each other (Bukhari).

-we awake naked, thirsty, hungry,
-if you're in tourist beaches, the women are topless
-and some have naked places there
-but on Judgment day, we won't notice anyone else naked
-because we're dealing w/ our own calamity
-that raging fire will be 70x hotter than the fire
-we use to cook our meals at home
-the # 19 is a fitnah for the kuffaar see [74:31]

And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers,... (Al-Muddaththir 74:31)

-in the dunya, we might have high libido but on Judgment Day, we will have no libido
-stress kills libido

-we will rush to drink from the fountain of the Prophet (pbuh)

Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab: The companions of the Prophet said, "Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you left: they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam). Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Number 586

-the Rasool (pbuh) will recognize his Companions
-the angel will say some of them apostated from Islam
-Barelvis say Muhammad is alive in the grave and knows what's happening to his ummah
-but then why will the 2 angels say YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY DID AFTER YOU LEFT?
-please remember to use this hadith to refute the Barelvis

-some will be given their books in their right or left hand
-we'll be asked about our money, knowledge, were we a scholar,
-how did we use our body (halal or haraam)

Abu Barzah al-Aslami radi Allahu anhu reported that Allah’s Messenger sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam said, “The two feet of the servant will not cease (from standing before Allah) on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about four things: on his life and how he spent it; on his knowledge and what he did with it; on his wealth and where he earned it and how he spent it; and on his body and in what way he utilized it.” [Saheeh, reported by At-Tirmidhi]

The 3 opinions
1) book of deeds
2) the deeds will be weighed, not the deed
3) us, the human, will be weighed

But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, (Al-Qari'ah 101:8)

In another hadith, narrated upon the authority of 'Ali ibn Abee Taalib (May Allah be pleased with him) who said: "The Prophet peace be upon him commanded Ibn Mas'ood to climb up a tree in order to bring him something from it. The companions (of the Prophet peace be upon him) saw the legs of Ibn Mas'ood when he climbed the tree and they began to laugh at the skinniness of his legs. The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: 'What are you laughing at? The legs of Abd-Allah will weigh more on the scale than mount Uhud on the Day of Judgment.'" Its isnaad was classed as Hasan by al-Albaani in Sharh al-Tahhaawiyyah, no. 571, p. 418

-the scholars will quote the hadith re:
-the miswak was that picked for the Prophet (pbuh)
-we do not dispute that it is the human, himself, will be weighed

-some will cross it w/ the speed of lightening (such as mujahideen)
-some commit so many sins, only jihad can save them
-some cross like a twinkling of eye
-some go back and forth from Islam to kufrdom

On the Day of Judgment there will be a bridge called Sirat, which will be built over Hell upon Allahu ta'ala's command. Everybody will be ordered to cross that bridge. That day, all prophets will entreat as, "Oh Allah! Give safety!" Those who are to go to Paradise will cross the bridge easily and reach Paradise. Some of them will pass with the speed of lightning, some with that of wind, and some others like a galloping horse. The Sirat Bridge will be thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword. [Tabarani]

Sayyidina Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “There are with Allah six blessings for the martyr. (1) He is forgiven with the first drop of blood. (2) He is shown his abode in paradise. (3) He is preserved from the torment of the grave and is safe from the great fear on the Day of Resurrection. (4) A crown of honour ingrained with pearl is placed on his head, which is better than the world and what it contains. (5) He is married to seventy-two maidens (huris) of paradise. His intercession for his seventy relatives is accepted.” [Tirmidhi 1669, Ahmed 12013, Ibn e Majah 2799]

I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of …al-Buhkari, Muslim, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn-Majah)

-the kaafir is resurrected blind on Judgment Day
-in the dunya, he will be mentally depressed
-because you ignored our revelation to you
-Hindus cant' tell SITA, please get me out of the Hellfire
-theyand their idols will be in the Hellfire together

"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection." (Ta-Ha 20:124)

He will say: "O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)." (Ta-Ha 20:125)

(Allah) will say: "Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hell-fire, away from Allah's Mercy)." (Ta-Ha 20:126)

Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allah is Ever Most Powerful, All¬ Wise. (An-Nisa 4:56)

-if a Muslim falls off the sirat into the Hellfire,
-he comes out of it w/ Muhammad's intercession
-if we have an atom's weight of eeman, we come out of it

Narrated By Anas: The Prophet said, "Whoever said "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a barley grain will be taken out of Hell. And whoever said: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a wheat grain will be taken out of Hell. And whoever said, None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of an atom will be taken out of Hell." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 1, Book 2. Hadith #042]

-only the fake Muslims will be there forever
-such as the spies , those who didn't believe in Qur'an and Sunnah
-true Muslims come out w/ shafa’a

Hasan al Basri said anyone who is not afraid of being hypocrite, is one already!
-if a kaafir falls off the sirat, there is NO intercession for him
