- last time we were here we stopped at ayah 22
- where Allah says:

They will dwell therein forever. Verily, with Allah is a great reward. (At-Tawbah 9:22)

O you who believe! Take not for Auliya' (supporters and helpers) your fathers and your brothers if they prefer disbelief to Belief. And whoever of you does so, then he is one of the Zalimûn (wrong-doers, etc.). (At-Tawbah 9:23)

- explanation of ayah 23
- this ayah is talking about al wala wal bara, to love and hate for the sake of Allah
- the question is why did Allah send down this ayah?
- the story behind this, the father of Abu Ubaidah was held captive
- he was praising the idols of the Kabah
- in UK you would say he was winding-up the people or to upset them
- his own father was teasing him by praising these idols, he told his father to stop
- but he continued to wind him up, he pulled out his sword and cut his fathers head off
- his father maybe thought he would not chop off his head because he was his father
- but Abu Ubaidah did not care, the Sahabahs did not compromise
- they were not hypocrites like some of us, they practised al wala wal bara properly

On the authority of Anas bin Malik (RA) who reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "For every Ummah there is an Amin (trustee) and the Amin (trustee) of our Ummah is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarah." [Narrated by al-Bukhari (3744) and Muslim (2419)]

Uqbah ibn Aamir (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If there were to be a Prophet after me then he would be Umar ibn Al-Khattab.” [Ahmed 17410]

Narrated By Abu Said Al-Khudri...Allah's Apostle said, "The person who has favoured me most of all both with his company and wealth, is Abu Bakr. If I were to take a Khalil other than my Lord, I would have taken Abu Bakr as such, but (what relates us) is the Islamic brotherhood and friendliness. All the gates of the Mosque should be closed except the gate of Abu Bakr." [al-Bukhari and Muslim]

If the Sahabahs returned to see the state of the Ummah today, they would be shocked
- people tend to turn away from Islam when money is involved, these people can not be trusted
- the companions did not compromise, they did not sell out for a miserable price
Allah says

Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: "Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah Alone," except the saying of Ibrahim (Abraham) to his father: "Verily, I will ask for forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah." Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return, (Al-Mumtahinah 60:4)

- not only did the companions of Muhammad (SAW) practise al wala wal bara
- but the companions of Jesus did also, they made bara from their own people

Story of the cave
- has been covered, when these boys heard about Tawheed they turned away from their people
- and went to the caves and a dog followed them and they threw stones at the dog
- the dog spoke to them and said he wants to go with them because he is also a believer
- they knew this was a sign from Allah so they took the dog with them
- people do not want to make hijrah due to weak Eeman
- they do not want to leave behind their food stamps, the hand outs etc
- these sleepers of the caves did not ask about income or heating or doctors
- they did not want to return to idols after Eeman had entered their hearts
Allah says :

Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikûn (Al-Ma'idah 5:82)

- Allah provided for them
- Ayah 23 came down at the battle of Badr
- how many of you could take the head of your own father?

MI5 went to Blackburn
- they wanted to take on ‘Muslim’ spies, they had so many people that came forward
- they said they had to turn many of them away, these people are from the Tablighi group
- they do not know anything about al wala wal bara
- they don't teach you Tawheed Hakimiyah, al wala wal bara , seven conditions of Shahadah
- they are of extreme Murji'a, they believe you can not call someone a kaafir
- because you don't know what is in their heart
- Sheikh has been with them for many days as a teenager, they believe in democratic law
- they do not understand al wala wal bara because it was not taught to them
- if you are sincere you will practise this even if it is not taught to you

Spying in Brixton (UK):

Latest fatawa from the MADkhalis

- 58:22 - resembles Taubah 23, Allah says

You (O Muhammad SAW) will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW ), even though they were their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred (people). For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Rûh (proofs, light and true guidance) from Himself. And We will admit them to Gardens (Paradise) under which rivers flow, to dwell therein (forever). Allah is pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Verily, it is the Party of Allah that will be the successful. (Al-Mujadilah 58:22)

- if Allah has not blessed you with Eeman you are going to end up like bin Baaz
- giving your wala to the crusaders, who rape the children of Afghanistan

- you cannot preach one thing and do something else, do you practise al wala wal bara ?
- do you have friends that are enemies of Islam?
- Umar Ibn al-Khattab killed his uncle, his mothers brother, at the Battle of Badr

Narrated By 'Abdullah : The Prophet said, "The best people are those of my generation, and then those who will come after them (the next generation), and then those who will come after them (i.e. the next generation), and then after them, there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths, and whose oaths will precede their witness." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith #437]

- the first three generations of Muslims are called the Salaf us Saleh
- hypocrites claim to practise Islam the way they did (Salaf us Saleh)
- when did they spy for them MI5 ?

Narrated By Ibn Aun: I wrote a letter to Nafi and Nafi wrote in reply to my letter that the Prophet had suddenly attacked Bani Mustaliq without warning while they were heedless and their cattle were being watered at the places of water. Their fighting men were killed and their women and children were taken as captives; the Prophet got Juwairiya on that day. Nafi said that Ibn 'Umar had told him the above narration and that Ibn 'Umar was in that army. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 3, Book 46, Hadith #717]

- they also say ‘you do not have to study fiqh al waqi’
- but even the prophet (SAW) would do this and his companions
- fiqh al waqi means current events

And thus do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that the way of the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners), may become manifest. (Al-An'am 6:55)

- Allah himself has told us to keep updated with current events
- we must learn the ways of the kuffaar, their strategy and their plots

Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight … are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger, and striving hard and fighting in His Cause[], then wait until Allah brings about His Decision (torment). And Allah guides not the people who are Al-Fasiqûn (the rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (At-Tawbah 9:24)

“If you deal in usury (riba) and hang onto the tails of cows, being satisfied with cultivation and ceasing to take part in Jihad, Allah will inflict a humiliation upon you which will not be removed until you return to your religion.” [Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud and graded as authentic by Al-Qattan. Al-Hafiz states in Al-Bulugh that the chain of narrators is trustworthy and reliable]

- return to your religion, means return to jihad
- jihad is the sixth pillar of Islam
- Allah is reminding you that, if you make these things dearer then wait for his torment

The Holy Prophet said: Your children at times make you become tight-fisted and cowards”. (Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal vol.4 pg.172)

- Allah mentioned these things because these are the things that make you abandon Jihad
- in many cases your parents are the reason why you cannot go for jihad
- or why you do not make hijrah
- if you listen to your parents you will never do jihad or anything positive for the Deen
- parents hinder you, this is why they were mentioned first in this ayah
- if you listen to your parents you will never wear hijab, jilbab, niqab etc
- most parents do not know about al wala wal bara so they will not want you to practise it
- 99% of your parents are racist, this may prevent you marrying whom you want to marry
- the Muslims have become more racist than the kuffaar
- Saudi Arabia do not allow you to marry from their women
- the rasul said his Ummah will never give up four things

“There are four matters of jaahiliyyah that exist among my ummah and they will not give them up: boasting about one’s forefathers, casting aspersions upon people’s lineages, seeking rain by the stars and wailing for the dead.” [Sahîh Muslim (934)]

You will inevitably follow the paths of those who came before you, handspan by handspan, cubit by cubit, until even if they entered the hole of a lizard, you will follow them.” We said, “O Messenger of Allaah, (do you mean) the Jews and Christians?” He said, “Who else?” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-I’tisaam bi’l-Kitaab wa’l-Sunnah, 6889; Muslim, al-‘Ilm, 6723).

- racism was mentioned in the four things
- Asabiyah means nationalism, racism, tribalism
- Allah told you in the Quran not to have girlfriends
Allah says

…nor taking them as girl-friends… (Al-Ma'idah 5:5)

- did you know that Allah mentioned girlfriends in the Quran?
- whatever the kuffaar do, the 'Muslims' will do
- there are many brothers that want to go for jihad
- some of these brothers just disappear and they go without telling their parents
- some parents will go and tell the police
- some parents call the mujahideen khawaarij
- some parents are Brelvi, Shi’ites etc
- the majority of Muslims are hypocrites
- if you want to do jihad pack your bags and go
- your wealth also stops you from going forth for jihad
- your wealth can even prevent you going Jummah
Allah says :

And you love wealth with much love! (Al-Fajr 89:20)

And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. (Al-'Adiyat 100:8)

- wealth is honour, this is why people love it viciously, money cannot make you happy
- you are happy when you are practising the Deen of Allah

War in Somali
- they are rich in oil
- this is why Kenya are they are trying to fight, it is all about oil
- when the kuffaar want to break up a Muslim country it is due to them being rich in oil
- oil is called black gold

- war in Afghanistan is to do with oil as well
- the world has become a habitation of human devils
- North Korea throws rockets in the air and threatens South Korea to get food and aid

Truly Allah has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight. (At-Tawbah 9:25)

Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger said, “The best number of sahabah is four, the best number of men in expedition is four hundred, the best number of men in armies is four thousand, and twelve thousand will not be defeated because of poor numbers.” [Tirmidhi 1561, Ahmed 2682, Abu Dawud 2611]

- if you are 12,000 strong no army in the world can defeat you
- 2,000 people took Shahadah in one day (conquest of Makkah)
Allah says:

And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad SAW) but We inspired him (saying): La ilaha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)], so worship Me (Alone and none else)." (Al-Anbiya 21:25)

- he Muhammad (SAW) had a similar character as Isa (AS)

...I looked up and saw Gabriel in it. He called me saying, 'Allah has heard your people's saying to you, and what they have replied back to you, Allah has sent the Angel of the Mountains to you so that you may order him to do whatever you wish to these people.' The Angel of the Mountains called and greeted me, and then said, "O Muhammad! Order what you wish. If you like, I will let Al-Akh-Shabain (i.e. two mountains) fall on them." The Prophet said, "No but I hope that Allah will let them beget children who will worship Allah Alone, and will worship None besides Him." [al-Bukhari (3231) and Muslim (1795)]

And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Al-Anbiya 21:107)

- the rasul (SAW) set them free: "go your way you are all free"

“This day there is no reproof against you; Go your way, for you are free.” (Related by Ibn Kathir, recorded by Ibn al-Hajjaj Muslim)

- those people who the rasul set free joined him in the army
- so they become 12,000 at battle of Hunain
- the name of the tribe is called Banu Hawaazin

- Hunain is a valley between Mecca and Ta’if
- 313 of Muslims at battle of Badr
- 700 at the battle of Uhud
- battle Hunain was the first time in history they were in a big number
- the Sahabahs were rejoicing

Truly Allah has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight. (At-Tawbah 9:25)

Malik ibn Auf al Nasri
- this person bought his soldiers out and told him to throw stones at the Muslims for them to panic
- and to ambush the Muslims with great force, the vast majority ran away
- so even though they were high in number, many of them ran away
- till there was only 180 left, who stayed
- Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali (he was carrying the flag) the prophets uncle, Usama ibn Zayd

Narrated By Al-Bara: That a man asked him. "O Abu 'Umara! Did you flee on the day (of the battle) of Hunain?" He replied, "No, by Allah, the Prophet did not flee but the hasty people fled and the people of the Tribe of Hawazin attacked them with arrows, while the Prophet was riding his white mule and Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith was holding its reins, and the Prophet was saying, 'I am the Prophet in truth, I am the son of 'Abdul Muttalib.'" [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 52, Hadith #126]

- the Muslims panicked
- the prophets (SAW) uncle had to scream out loud and said how can you abandon the prophet

Then Allah did send down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity and reassurance, etc.) on the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and on the believers, and sent down forces (angels) which you saw not, and punished the disbelievers. Such is the recompense of disbelievers. (At-Tawbah 9:26)

- the angels came down from the heavens to help the Muslims win this battle

Then after that Allah will accept the repentance of whom He will. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (At-Tawbah 9:27)

- 24,000 camels were captured from the kuffaar, even women and children were captured
- Malik Ibn Auf ended up embracing Islam and the prophet forgave him
- after Malik ibn Auf was defeated at this battle , and then embraced Islam
- he (SAW) then appointed him leader of his tribe
- after this he made a lot of poetry about Muhammad (SAW)
