Q&A The Human Soul

(29/02/12)

The Human Soul [Part1]

Question 1: What is the correct opinion concerning abortion? Is it halal or not?
Answer 1: You are allowed to abort a child before 6 weeks, if you don’t want a child. This is the hambali fiqh. You are not allowed to force a lady to have kids.

Question 2: How do we purify our soul?
Answer 2: You purify your soul by being in good company and reading Quran.
Allah says:

And perform As-Salat (Iqamat as Salat). Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahsha' (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed, etc.) (Al-'Ankabut 29:45)

When you keep up your prayers you purify your soul. Also be constant in your dhikr. The prophet saw said:

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, “"The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for dhikr (the remembrance of Allah) that which pleases Allah; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge.'' [Tirmidhi 2322 and Ibn e Majah 4112, (Abu Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadeeth is hasan ghareeb)]

The Prophet (saw) said: “A man will follow the religion of his close friend, so let each of you look to who he takes a close friend.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, 2378)

“A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look (carefully) whom you choose to befriend.” [Ahmad]

Your friend makes you or breaks you. If you have evil, Allah says:

"Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! (Al-Furqan 25:28)

Do not follow the evil desires and make them your lord.

Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember? (Al-Jathiyah 45:23)

You purify your soul by fighting your naafs.

And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) (i.e. this Qur'an and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan ¬ devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him. (Az-Zukhruf 43:36)

Surah 45:23 is for fighting your nafs and surah 43:36, this is where Allah says if you do not do dhikr, shaytan will be your constant friend. The dhikr of Allah is the greatest thing. In surah 29:45 Allah says:

And the remembering (praising, etc.) of (you by) Allah (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising, etc.) (Al-'Ankabut 29:45)

Self-analysis helps you to purify your soul. Some celebrities have handlers. Whitney Houston died at age of 48, this is a very young age. Celebrities need handlers to watch over them in case they overdose themselves in drugs.

Allah says in surah 75:14:

Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. (Al-Qiyamah 75:14)

Man is the best person to watch over himself because you are always with yourself. Handlers are not always with you. So the best thing is to be is to watch over yourself. This way you can ask yourself did I do anything wrong today? Did i do anything haraam today?

Question 3: I saw myself in a dream calling the azaan. Please interpret.
Answer 3: When you see yourself calling the adhan in your dream, this is good. It means you will progress in your faith. If you see yourself praying on top of the kab'ah this is a bad dream.

Human Soul [Part2]

Question 1: I did not catch the grave worshipping Shaikh spoke about, that the Brelvis do. Is talking to persons at their grave site constitute Shirk? If you ask them to make dua for you? Is this what Shaikh means by worshipping graves?

Answer1: It is a very important question, a Brelvi is a grave worshipper and they are found in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Not everybody found in these countries worship the graves, only some people.

So please do not entertain the idea that every Pakistani is a Brelvi or every Indian Muslim is a Brelvi and every Bengali is a Brelvi etc

Only some of the population worship the graves besides Allah

Concerning the Brelvis, Allah pronounced them liars and kaafirs in Surah 39:3

So Allah (SWT) told you in Surah 39 Verse 3, that those who call upon intermediaries and place between themselves and intermediaries, they put between themselves and Allah an intermediary and they beseech and call upon the intermediary and use the intermediary to reach Allah, Allah said these people they are liars and kaafirs

Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. (Az-Zumar 39:3)

The reason why Allah pronounces the Brelvi, a liar and a kaafir is because the Brelvi recited the ayah:

You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). (Al-Fatihah 1:5)

He (the brelvis) claims that he recited Surah Fatihah Verse 5, yet he prays to the graves and worships the graves.

So when he was reciting (iyyaka na’budu wa iyyaka nasta’een) it did not come from his heart, it came from his lips.

He is a liar and a kaafir and he is a Muslim by culture, not a Muslim by conviction. A real Muslim is the one who is a Muslim by conviction not by culture.

You are not allowed to go to the graves of people and speak to them and ask them for things!

When you go to the graves, you are only allowed to give salam to them and you recite the dua that the prophet used to recite:

السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَيَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنَّا وَالْمُسْتَأْخِرِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ بِكُمْ لَلَاحِقُونَ

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (RA) said to the Prophet (SAW): “O Messenger of Allaah, what should I say to them (i.e., to the occupants of the graves)?” He said, “Say: Al-salaamu ‘ala ahl il-diyaar min al-mu’mineen wa’l-Muslimeen, wa yarham Allaah al-mustaqdimeena minna wa’l-musta’khireen, wa innaa inshaAllaah bikum la laahiqoon (Peace be upon the inhabitants of the graves, believers and Muslims. May Allaah have mercy upon those who have gone ahead of us and those who come later on, and verily we will, insha’Allaah, join you).” [Sahih Muslim (Vol. 2, pg. 669) No. 974]

But as for asking the person in the grave for something, it is haraam.

When Umar was the Caliph, he suffered severe drought and he did not go to the grave of Muhammad (SAW) and say: ‘O Muhammad, beg Allah to send us the rain’. He went to Abbas, the uncle of the prophet. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 2, p.27, No. 1010]

Narrated By Anas: Whenever drought threatened them, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, used to ask Al-Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib to invoke Allah for rain. He used to say, "O Allah! We used to ask our Prophet to invoke You for rain, and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O Allah ! Bless us with rain." And so it would rain. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Book 17, Hadith #123]

If it were halal to pray to the inhabitants of the graves, Umar would have prayed to the prophet and begged the prophet and say, ‘O Muhammad beg Allah to send the rain’.

But because Umar was not pagan, he was not a Brelvi, he was not a kaafir, a mushrik etc. He went to someone who was alive i.e. Abbas and said ‘Pray for us’

This hadith is in Bukhari and we use it to checkmate the grave worshippers of the Ummah, who claim to be Muslims, even though they are outside the fold of Islam because a Muslim worships Allah and Allah Alone and this is the meaning of ‘La ilaha illallah’ (Nothing deserves to be worshipped except Allah)

So the Shaytan is deceiving the Brelvis having them thinking they are Muslims, even though they are 5 star kaafirs outside the fold of Islam.

Umar did not go to the grave of the prophet and say: ’O Muhammad, pray for us’. Why? because Umar was a Muwahid (a person who was upon authentic tauheed), he was not a Mushrik (a pagan), he was a Muwahid.

He did not worship the grave of the prophet and your dua is ibaadah (worship)

Nu’man ibn Bashir (RA) reported that the Prophet said, The supplication is itself worship.”…[Tirmidhi (2969) Abu Dawud (1479), Ibn e Majah (3828), Ahmed (18419)]

So if your dua is ibaadah, how can you offer your dua to somebody other than Allah? Indeed the Brelvi is outside the fold of Islam, may Allah guide them to authentic tauheed.

Question 2: I was in a Saudi Salafi masjid in Birmingham and they told us that Bashar al asad of Syria is to be obeyed bcos toppling him will bring harm to the ummah.. Is this the right aqeeda and manhaj?

Answer 2: The saudi salfi are murjia with the leaders and khawaarij with the ummah. When Bashar Al Asad said worship me not Allah. The Saudi Salfis still say don’t topple the leader. Sheikh has refuted them a lot of times but he has to do it again..

Allah says:

O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger (SAW), if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination. (An-Nisa 4:59)

Allah says "MINKUM" (from among you) not a kaafir like Bashar Al Asad and he’s not minkum.

Prophet (saws) said topple the leader if you see clear kufr [Bukhari Vol 9 Page 146]

He’s a shiate, and an alawite. The rasool (saw) said topple the leader if you see clear kufr. So who are you going to obey, the Prophet or the madkhalis? The Saudi Salfis are very evil, salah behind them is batil. You cannot call Bashar Al Asad a murtad, he was a kaafir from day one. He was not in the fold of Islam.
