Bismillah…

-we were doing personality disorders and covered some topics
-but we are taking a break today
-so do not think that we have finished with the series
-I took a break in order not for it to be monotonous

Surah Fatihah, the opening chapter
-when you recite and explain it
-it is more appropriate for you to start by explaining Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
-you were commanded by Allah to
-begin reciting Qur'an with seeking refuge from Allah from shaytan

THE 7 OCCASIONS IN WHICH WE RECITE AUDHU BILLAHI MIN ASH-SHAYTAN IR-RAJEEM

1. BEFORE READING THE HOLY QUR'AN

So when you want to recite the Qur'an, seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast (the cursed one). (An-Nahl 16:98)

2. WHEN YOU HAVE AN EVIL THOUGHT

And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitan (Satan) then seek refuge with Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Al-A'raf 7:200)

-because these evil thoughts are from shaytan
-and Allah said;

From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men) who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allah), (An-Nas 114:4)

"Who whispers in the breasts of mankind, (An-Nas 114:5)

"Of jinns and men." (An-Nas 114:6)

Al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW), asked his Companions about fornication and they said, "It is unlawful. Allah and His Messenger have made it unlawful." He said, "It is less serious for a man to fornicate with ten women than for him to fornicate with his neighbour's wife." Then he asked them about stealing. They replied, "It is unlawful. Allah and His Messenger have made it unlawful." He said, "It is less serious for a man to steal from ten houses than it is for him to steal from his neighbour's house." [al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari, No.103 and al-Mu’jam al-Kabir al-Tabarani (20/256) No. 605]

-it is better to commit zina with 10 women than to commit it with your neighbour's wife

SHAIKH IN AFRICA
-he had his own apartment in some of the countries
-and he was in Swaziland, the people said how comes they rent you an apartment
-because people here do not do that
-this is because if they rent to single men, married women go to their houses

3. WHEN YOU SEE A BLACK DOG

Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Prophet (SAW), said "Do not go out often after the night is still. Allah has animals which he sends out. Anyone who hears the barking of a dog or the braying of a donkey should seek refuge with Allah from the Accursed Shaytan. They see what you do not see." [al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari, No. 1233 and al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (9/344) No. 10712]

-the Sahabah asked why the black dog?
-the prophet (SAW) said it is the shaytan

Abdullah ibn Samit (RA) reported having heard from Abu Dharr (RA) that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If anyone prays and there is nothing in front of him like the hack, or like the middle of a saddle then his salah is cut off by the passing ahead of a black dog, a donkey or a woman.” Abdullah asked Abu Dharr. “What is the difference between black and white or red?” He said, “Brother, you put the same question to me as I had put to Allah’s Messenger He had said that the black dog is a devil.” [Tirmidhi 338, Ahmed 21381, Muslim 510, Abu Dawud 702, Ibn e Majah 952, Nisai 749]

4. WHEN YOU RECEIVE AN INDECENT PROPOSAL

-there are 2 types of proposals
i. PRAISEWORTHY - e.g. a man proposing for nikah
ii. BLAMEWORTHY - e.g. asking for zina

Some proposals are sinful
-e.g. a woman in iddah, a sister already engaged, a Hindu Sikh girl

5. WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY

Narrated By Sulaiman bin Surd: While I was sitting in the company of the Prophet, two men abused each other and the face of one of them became red with anger, and his jugular veins swelled (i.e. he became furious). On that the Prophet said, "I know a word, the saying of which will cause him to relax, if he does say it. If he says: 'I seek Refuge with Allah from Satan.' then all is anger will go away." Some body said to him, "The Prophet has said, 'Seek refuge with Allah from Satan."' The angry man said, "Am I mad?" [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 54, Hadith #502]

-this is because anger and haste are from the shaytan

Sahl ibn Sa’d Sa’idi reported that Allah’s Messenger said, “Deliberation is from Allah, but haste is from the devil”. [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/367) No. 2012]

6. WHEN YOU HEAR THE BRAYING OF THE DONKEY

Narrated By Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 54, Hadith #522]

-this means the donkey sees a jinn
-but when the rooster crows it has seen an Angel and so you beg for Allah's bounty

7. WHEN YOU SEE A BAD DREAM

Narrated By Abu Qatada: The Prophet said, "A good dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So whoever has seen (in a dream) something he dislike, then he should spit without saliva, thrice on his left and seek refuge with Allah from Satan, for it will not harm him, and Satan cannot appear in my shape." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 87, Hadith #124]

-the rasul said when you go to sleep make wudu

Narrated By Al-Bara 'bin 'Azib: The Prophet said to me, "Whenever you go to bed perform ablution like that for the prayer, lie or your right side and say,

(O Allah! I surrender to You and entrust all my affairs to You and depend upon You for Your Blessings both with hope and fear of You. There is no fleeing from You, and there is no place of protection and safety except with You O Allah! I believe in Your Book (the Qur'an) which You have revealed and in Your Prophet (Muhammad) whom You have sent).

Then if you die on that very night, you will die with faith (i.e. or the religion of Islam). Let the aforesaid words be your last utterance (before sleep)." I repeated it before the Prophet and when I reached "Allahumma amantu bikitabika-l-ladhi anzalta (O Allah I believe in Your Book which You have revealed)." I said, "Wa-rasulika (and your Apostle)." The Prophet said, "No, (but say): 'Wanabiyika-l-ladhi arsalta (Your Prophet whom You have sent), instead." [Reported by al-Bukhari (247) and Muslim (2710)]

-your soul is mixed with the angels and you see good dreams
-and good dreams are the 46th part of prophethood

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “True dreams are one of the forty-six parts of Prophethood.” [al-Bukhari (6989) and Muslim (2263)]

-but when you go to bed without wudu and not reciting the Quls
-your soul is mixed with the shayateen and then you have bad dreams

Ayshah (RA) narrated: When the Prophet (SAW) came to his bed every night, he would place together both palms (in a scoop), blow on them and recite on them: “Surah al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq and an-Naas”. Then he would wipe them on as much of his body as he could, beginning them at his head and his face and that of his body that is in the front. He would do that three times. [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/473) No. 3402, Sahih Bukhari (8/70) No. 6319, Sunan Abu Dawud (4/313) No. 5056, Ibn e Majah (5/41) No. 3875]

Abdullah ibn Khubayb narrated: We went out on a rainy, extremely dark night seeking Allah’s Messenger (SAW), that he might lead us in salah. I found him. He said to me, “Say!” But I did not say anything. Then he said, “Say!” Again, I did not say anything. Once again he said, “Say!” I asked, “What shall I say?” He said, “Say: 'Say: He is Allah the One and Only. (112:1) (Surah al-Ikhlas) al-Falaq and an-Naas when you are in the evening and in the morning, three times. This will suffice you in everything.” [Tirmidhi (3575) Abu Dawud (5082), Nisai (5443)]

I DO NOT KNOW OF ANY 8TH OCCASION, BUT IF YOU DO PLEASE LET ME KNOW

AYAH 1:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful (Al-Fatihah 1:1)

This is the first ayah of Surah Fatihah and this is the correct opinion
-Imam Shafi'i and Ahmad said the above
-but the other 2 imams said no

WHEN TO YOU RECITE THE BASMALA

1. BEFORE EATING

Narrated By 'Umar bin Abi Salama: I was a boy under the care of Allah's Apostle and my hand used to go around the dish while I was eating. So Allah's Apostle said to me, 'O boy! Mention the Name of Allah and eat with your right hand, and eat of the dish what is nearer to you." Since then I have applied those instructions when eating. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 7, Book 65, Hadith #288]

2. BEFORE DRINKING

Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Do not drink like a camel in one breath, but drink in two or three sips taking breath, and say Bismillah, when you begin and praise Allah when you have finished.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/302) No. 1885]

3. BEFORE INTERCOURSE WITH YOUR WIFE

Narrated By Ibn Abbas: The Prophet said, "If anyone of you, when having sexual intercourse with his wife, says:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا

Bismillah, Allahumma jannibni-Sh-Shaitan wa jannib-ish-Shaitan ma razaqtana, and if it is destined that they should have a child, then Satan will never be able to harm him." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 7, Book 62, Hadith #094]

4. BEFORE MAKING WUDU

Abu Hurairah narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "...the ablution of a person who does not mention the name of Allah (in the beginning) is not valid. [Sunan Abu Dawud (1/73) No. 101, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/257) No. 399, Musnad Ahmad (3/41) No. 11388, Sunan Tirmidhi (1/37) No. 25]

-according to the Hanbali madhab if you do not say the basmalah before wudu, it is bautil
-but the other 3 said it is still valid but lacking in barakah
-the correct opinion is that of the jamhoor, the majority
-because of the hadith that every worldly deed you do without the basmalah is lacking in barakah

Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Every important word or matter that does not begin with remembrance of Allah is maimed.” [Musnad Ahmad (2/359) No. 8797, Sunan Ibn Majah (3/89) No. 1894, Sahih Ibn Hibban (1/173) No. 1, al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (9/185) No. 10258]

-and if you slaughtering, you should recite it too and turn the animal to face the Qiblah

So eat of that (meat) on which Allah's Name has been pronounced (while slaughtering the animal), if you are believers in His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). (Al-An'am 6:118)

-but if a Muslim forgets to say the basmalah, the meat is still halal
-but the people eating it should say Bismillah

Narrated By 'Aisha: The people said to the Prophet , "O Allah's Apostle! Here are people who have recently embraced Islam and they bring meat, and we do not know whether they had mentioned Allah's Name while slaughtering the animals or not." The Prophet said, "You should mention Allah's Name and eat." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 93, Hadith #495]

5. BEFORE GOING TO BED

Narrated By Hudhaifa: Whenever the Prophet intended to go to bed, he would recite:

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

"Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya (With Your name, O Allah, I die and I live)."

And when he woke up from his sleep, he would say:

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

"Al-hamdu lil-lahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana; wa ilaihi an-nushur (All the Praises are for Allah Who has made us alive after He made us die (sleep) and unto Him is the Resurrection)." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 75, Hadith 336]

-Surah Taubah is the only Surah that does not start with the basmallah
-Even though the basmallah was left out
-we have another 113 Surahs that start with the bismillah

AYAH 2

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Al-Fatihah 1:2)

-the prophet said any man who acquires knowledge to compete with the scholars
-will be put in the fire

Ka’b ibn Malik (RA) reported that he heard Allah’s Messenger (SAW) say: “If anyone seeks knowledge in order to compete with the scholars or to concur with the foolish or to direct the faces of the people toward himself, Allah will put him in the fire." [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/32) No. 2654, Sunan Darimi (1/374) No. 379, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/170) No. 254, Mustadrak al-Haakim (1/161) No. 293, Sahih Ibn Hibban (1/278) No. 77, Shu’ab al-Iman al-Bayhaqi (3/269) No. 1636, al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (6/32) No. 5708]

-so since you believe all praises is due to Allah, then you do not do good to show off
-3 people will be dragged to hellfire because of doing good to show off

On the authority of Abu Huraira, I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: The first of men (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). Allah will make him recount His blessings (i.e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allah say: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a "brave warrior". And you were called so, (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought And Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allah ask: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'an seeking Thy pleasure. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called "a scholar," and you recited the Qur'an so that it might be said: "He is a Qari" and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Allah will (then) ask: What have you done (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which Thou wished that it should be spent. Allah will say: You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (You): "He is a generous fellow" and so it was said. Then will Allah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell. (Sahih Muslim 4688, Tirmidhi 2382)

The word Rabb means someone that creates something, moulds it and brings it to perfection
-so this ayah talks about Tauheed Rububiyya
-so how can the Christians say ‘lord Jesus’?

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. (Genesis 6:6) King James Version

-they nullify all the branches of Tauheed
-from Tauheed Rububiyya to Haakimiya
-what a pathetic state they are in

رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
…Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Al-Fatihah 1:2)

THE WORLDS ALLAH IS REFERRING TO

1. ANGELS
2. JINN
3. PLANTS
4. ANIMALS
5. MAN

Everything in the heavens and earth worships Allah

Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (As-Saff 61:1)

See you not that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and Ad-Dawab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and many of mankind? But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allah disgraces, none can honour him. Verily! Allah does what He wills. (Al-Hajj 22:18)

-if you have a rooster that wakes you up for Fajr, you should not kill it
-because it sees and Angel when it crows

Narrated By Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah's Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 54, Hadith #522]

-the animals do not disobey Allah, only man and jinn does
-so the animals would not be held accountable for what they did in dunya
-even though some eat each other

Allah will say to the animals become dust
-and when the disbelievers see this, they will wish to be like them
-this is because of the sight of the blazing fire

So Allah said;

Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!" (An-Naba 78:40)

When the kaafir was in the dunya he use to show off with everything
-women, wealth, designer clothing’s, fast cars, big houses, titles etc
-but in aakhira he will say I wish I become dust
-like the dogs, pigs, elephants, camels etc

So man and jinn are the ones who rebel against Allah's commandments
-so they will be questioned in the grave and punished
-2 angels will ask them the 3 principles

1. WHO IS YOUR LORD?
2. WHAT IS YOUR RELIGION
3. WHO IS YOUR PROPHET?

But the kuffaar would not be able to answer these
-and the angels will hit them with a hammer
-that will make them cry so loud, it is heard by the animals but not man

Narrated By Al-Bara' ibn Azib: We went out with the Apostle of Allah (pbuh) accompanying the bier of a man of the Ansar. When we reached his grave, it was not yet dug. So the Apostle of Allah (pbuh) sat down and we also sat down around him as if birds were over our heads. He had in his hand a stick with which he was scratching the ground. He then raised his head and said: Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave. He said it twice or thrice. The version of Jabir adds here: He hears the beat of their sandals when they go back, and at that moment he is asked: O so and so! Who is your Lord, what is your religion, and who is your Prophet? Hannad's version says: Two angels will come to him, make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: My Lord is Allah. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: My religion is Islam. They will ask him: What is your opinion about the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: He is the Apostle of Allah (pbuh). They will ask: Who made you aware of this? He will reply: I read Allah's Book, believed in it, and considered it true; which is verified by Allah's words: "Allah's Book, believed in it, and considered it true, which is verified by Allah's words: "Allah establishes those who believe with the word that stands firm in this world and the next." The agreed version reads: Then a crier will call from Heaven: My servant has spoken the truth, so spread a bed for him from Paradise, clothe him from Paradise, and open a door for him into Paradise. So some of its air and perfume will come to him, and a space will be made for him as far as the eye can see. He also mentioned the death of the infidel, saying: His spirit will be restored to his body, two angels will come to him, make him sit up and ask him: Who is your Lord? He will reply: Alas, alas! I do not know. They will ask him: What is your religion? He will reply: Alas, alas! I do not know. They will ask: Who was the man who was sent on a mission among you? He will reply: Alas, alas! I do not know. Then a crier will call from Heaven: He has lied, so spread a bed for him from Hell, clothe him from Hell, and open for him a door into Hell. Then some of its heat and pestilential wind will come to him, and his grave will be compressed, so that his ribs will be crushed together. Jabir's version adds: One who is blind and dumb will then be placed in charge of him, having a sledge-hammer such that if a mountain were struck with it, it would become dust. He will give him a blow with it which will be heard by everything between the east and the west except by men and jinn, and he will become dust. Then his spirit will be restored to him. [Abu Dawud, Book 35, Hadith #4735]

Ali (RA) narrated: We did not cease to doubt punishment in the grave till the surah was revealed: Your rivalry in the accumulation of wealth diverts your minds. (102:1 etc.) [Sunan Tirmidhi (Vol. 5 pg. 447) No. 3355]

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, (At-Takathur 102:1)

Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). (At-Takathur 102:2)

-and the prophet said:

Anas ibn Malik (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “If (I had not feared) that you would stop burying your deceased, I would have asked Allah to make you hear the punishment in the grave” [Sahih Muslim, Book 40, Hadith #6859]

-Ali (RA) said we used to doubt in the punishment of the grave until this ayah was revealed
-so the Hizbut Tahrir should hear this hadith and ayah

AYAH 3:

الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. (Al-Fatihah 1:3)

-mercy is of utmost importance
-because the prophet (SAW) said no one can enter paradise without Allah's mercy not even him

Jabir reported: I heard Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: None of you would get into Paradise because of his good deeds alone, and he would not be rescued from Fire, not even I, but because of the Mercy of Allah. [Sahih Muslim, Book 39, Hadith #6769]

The prophet also said show mercy to those on earth
-and those in the heavens will show mercy to you

Jarir ibn 'Abdullah reported that the Messenger of Allah said, "If someone does not show mercy to people, Allah will not show mercy to him." [al-Bukhari (7376) and Muslim (5737)]

Abdullah ibn Amr (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “Those who are merciful will be given mercy by the Most Merciful. Be merciful to those on the earth and the One above the heavens will have mercy on you.” [Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 40, Hadith #4941]

Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin. (An-Nisa 4:48)

-a man can be committing sins but Allah forgives him of his sins
-because Allah said He forgives all sins except shirk
-when you do a halal act it is recorded as 10 good deeds
-And if you do a bad deed it is recorded as 1 bad deed
-Why is this? because Allah said, that 'Verily His Mercy Prevails over His Wrath'

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), who said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: 'My mercy prevails over my wrath.'" [Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah)]

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. (Muhammad 47:7)

Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 54, Hadith #538]

-if a prostitute was forgiven for feeding a dog
-think about the Mercy we would get if we are merciful to each other

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Verily, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, would say on the Day of Resurrection: O son of Adam, I was sick but you did not visit Me. He would say: O my Lord; how could I visit Thee whereas Thou art the Lord of the worlds? Thereupon He would say: Didn't you know that such and such servant of Mine was sick but you did not visit him and were you not aware of this that if you had visited him, you would have found Me by him? O son of Adam, I asked food from you but you did not feed Me. He would say: My Lord, how could I feed Thee whereas Thou art the Lord of the worlds? He said: Didn't you know that such and such servant of Mine asked food from you but you did not feed him, and were you not aware that if you had fed him you would have found him by My side? (The Lord would again say) O son of Adam, I asked drink from you but you did not provide Me. He would say: My Lord, how could I provide Thee whereas Thou art the Lord of the worlds? Thereupon He would say: Such and such of servant of Mine asked you for a drink but you did not provide him, and had you provided him drink you would have found him near Me. [Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith #6232]

-Allah will say to one on the day of judgement day, 'he was hungry, and you did not feed Him,'
-and so on as it is mentioned in the hadith
-it is important for us to be merciful to the slaves of Allah

AYAH 4:

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). (Al-Fatihah 1:4)

-Tawheed Hakimiyyah is here in this ayah
-because Allah Knows when it is Judgment Day

Umar (RA) ibn al-Khattab (RA) said that they were with Allah’s Messenger (SAW) when a man came wearing extremely white clothing and deep black hair but signs of a journey could not be detected on him nor could they recognise him as one of them. He came to the Prophet (SAW) and sat down beside him, his knees touching the Prophet’s (SAW). He asked “O Muhammad, what is faith”? He said, “It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers (peace be upon them all), in the Last Day and in Predestination of good and evil.” He asked, “And what is Islam?” He said, ‘It is. to testify that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger (SAW) to establish the Salah, to pay the Zakah, to perform pilgrimage of the House and to fast in Ramadan.’ He asked, “And what is Ihsan”? He said, It is that you worship Allah as though you see Him, for it you cannot see Him, He sees you.” The visitor remarked, “In everything that you have spoken, you spoke truth.” Umar (RA) said that they were surprised at his questioning him and then confirming that he spoke the truth. Next, he asked, “And when is the Hour?” He said, “The one who is questioned does not know more about it than the one who asks.” He asked, “Then what are its Signs?” He said, “That a maid-servant will beget her mistress and that you see barefooted, naked-bodied, helpless shepherds construct tall buildings.” Umar (RA) said that the Prophet (SAW) then met him after three days and said, “Umar (RA) , do you know who the questioner was? He was Jibril come to teach you the basics of your religion.” [Bukhari 47, Muslim 4, Tirmidhi 2619, Abu Dawud 4695, Nisai 5005, Ibn Majah 63, Ahmed 184]

-Master of Judgment Day
-this means, that no one can intercede on the day of judgement without the permission of Allah

Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? (Al-Baqarah 2:255)

-it also means that Allah can send whoever He wants to Jannah
-and no one can veto Allah e.g. ‘why so and so is in that Jannah and not me?’

WHY DID ALLAH CALL JUDGMENT DAY 'YAWMI DEEN'?

-Judgement day has many names
-Allah says:

Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); (Al-Ghashiyah 88:1)

The reason why Allah called this day, 'Maliki' yawma' Deen
-because all the religions will be there
-Allah will dump all these, with their gods, and their followers into the hell-fire
-i.e. the Buddhist, Christians, Jews etc

AYAH 5:

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). (Al-Fatihah 1:5)

-This ayah is Tauheed Ibaadah

Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Az-Zumar 39:53)

-Allah forgives all sins; even shirk as long as you repent before death

It is not (proper) for the Prophet and those who believe to ask Allah's Forgiveness for the Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief). (At-Tawbah 9:113)

-Abu Talib, died in the state of shirk and Allah says in surah 9:113
-it is haram for you to seek forgiveness for the kuffaar
-All you can say is 'O ALLAH GIVE THEM THE LIGHTEST PUNISHMENT'

Narrated By Al-Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib: That he said to the Prophet "You have not been of any avail to your uncle (Abu Talib) (though) by Allah, he used to protect you and used to become angry on your behalf." The Prophet said, "He is in a shallow fire, and had It not been for me, he would have been in the bottom of the (Hell) Fire." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 5, Book 58, Hadith #222]

Ibn 'Abbas reported: The Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: Among the inhabitants of the Fire Abu Talib would have the least suffering, and he would be wearing two shoes (of Fire) which would boil his brain. [Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Hadith #0413]

-There are people who pray to the inhabitants of the graves
-Allah dismisses them as liars and kaafirs in Surah 39:3

Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): "We worship them only that they may bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. (Az-Zumar 39:3)

-Why did Allah dismiss them?
-because they recited iyaka na`budu wa iyaka nasta`een (1:5), but they lied
-it came from their lips not from their heart
-YOU MUST RECITE (1:5) FROM YOUR HEART, NOT YOUR LIPS
-this why Allah dismisses the Brelvis and Soofis by this ayah
-Allah says:

O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? (As-Saff 61:2)

Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do. (As-Saff 61:3)

Nu’man ibn Bashir (RA) reported that the Prophet said, “The supplication is itself worship.” Then he recited. And your Lord says, “Call upon Me, and I shall answer you. Surely those who are too arrogant to worship Me, they shall enter Hell, disgraced.” (40: 60) [Tirmidhi 3383, Abu Dawud 1474, Ibn e Majah 3828, Ahmed 18419]

-These Brelvis are not sincere

AYAH 6:

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Guide us to the Straight Way. (Al-Fatihah 1:6)

YOU ARE ON THE STRAIGHT PATH IF YOU GET THREE THINGS RIGHT:
1. YOUR AQEEDAH
2. YOUR FIQH
3. YOUR MANHAJ

-when you get these three things right, you can say 'you are on the right path'
-when we ask you about your manhaj, you should call for tawheed in darul harb
-the people in darul harb do not even know who Allah is; they are atheist
-if you are calling for Shariah in darul harb your going against the manhaj of the Prophet (SAW)
-because when Mu'adh ibn Jabal was sent to Yemen (HADITH)

Narrated By Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet sent Muadh to Yemen, he said to him, "You are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tauhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of their properties and it is to be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the best property of the people." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 93, Hadith #469]

-You are not on the siraatul mustaqeem if
-your manhaj is not calling for tawheed in darul harb and Shariah in darul islam
-17 times a day we ask Allah for guidance

Guide us to the Straight Way. (Al-Fatihah 1:6)

-so the most importance thing in our lives is guidance

And He found you unaware (of the Qur'an, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? (Ad-Duha 93:7)

And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? (Ad-Duha 93:8)

-the questioning in the Grave, we must prepare for this exam
-law of nature says: 'He who fails to prepare, prepares to fail’

http://www.authentictauheed.com/2012/03/263-13-laws-of-nature.html

-so the exam is in the grave and the examiner is Munkar and Nakeer

AYAH 7:

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ

The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace… (Al-Fatihah 1:7)

WHO ARE AN'AMTA ‘ALAYHIM (THOSE WHO ARE BLESSED)?
-they are the ones who Allah promised Jannah
-all those who Allah blessed are all the prophets
-the 10 who were promised paradise

Narrated By Sa'id ibn Zayd: AbdurRahman ibn al-Akhnas said that when he was in the mosque, a man mentioned Ali (RA). So Sa'id ibn Zayd got up and said: ‘I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: ‘Ten persons will go to Paradise: The Prophet (SAW) will go to Paradise, Abu Bakr (RA) will go to Paradise, Umar (RA) will go to Paradise, Uthman (RA) will go to Paradise, Ali (RA) will go to Paradise, Talhah (RA) will go to Paradise: Az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam (RA) will go to paradise, Saad ibn Abi Waqqas (RA) will go to Paradise, Abu Ubaydah ibn Jarrah (RA), and Abdur Rahman ibn Awf (RA) will go to Paradise. If you wish, I can mention the tenth.’ The people asked: ‘Who is he?’ but he kept silence. They again asked: ‘Who is he?’ He replied: ‘He is Sa'id ibn Zayd (RA).’” [Abu Dawud, Book 35, Hadeeth #4632]

-also those who fought at Badr

Narrated By 'Ubaidullah bin Abi Rafi: I heard 'Ali saying, "...Allah's Apostle, said, "Hatib has told you the truth." Umar said, O Allah's Apostle! Allow me to chop off the head of this hypocrite." Allah's Apostle said, "Hatib participated in the battle of Badr, and who knows, perhaps Allah has already looked at the Badr warriors and said, 'Do whatever you like, for I have forgiven you." [al-Bukhari (3007) and Muslim (2494)]

-also those who gave their bay’ah under the tree

Verily, those who give Bai'a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad SAW) they are giving Bai'a (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks only to his own harm, and whosoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward. (Al-Fath 48:10)

Jabir (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “None of those who swore allegiance under the tree will enter Hell.” [Musnad Ahmad (3/350) No. 14820, Sunan Abu Dawud (2/624) No. 4653, Sunan Tirmidhi (5/695) No. 3860, Abu Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadith is Hasan Sahih]

غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ

…not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews)… (Al-Fatihah 1:7)

WHO ARE MAGHDUBI 'ALYHIM (THOSE WHO GAIN ALLAH'S ANGER)?
-the Jews

WHY ARE THEY CURSED?
-the Jews are the ‘Maghdubi 'alayhim' (the cursed) because they curse and attack Allah
-the Jews and Shi’ites are brothers

Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!" We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)." (Aali Imran 3:181)

(Verily Allah heard the saying of those who said…) [3:181]. ‘Ikrimah, al-Suddi and Muqatil ibn Ishaq related that, one day, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq entered a Jewish place of study and found a group of Jewish people gathered around one of them called Finhas ibn ‘Azura, who was one of their doctors. Abu Bakr said to Finhas: “Fear Allah and embrace Islam, for by Allah you know well that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah who has brought the truth to you from Allah. He is mentioned in your Torah; so believe and accept the truth and grant Allah a goodly offering and He will make you enter the Garden and multiply your reward”. Finhas responded: “O Abu Bakr, you claim that our Lord is asking us to lend Him our wealth. Yet, it is only the poor who borrow from the rich. And if what you say is true, it follows that Allah is poor and we are rich, for if He were rich He would not ask us to lend Him our wealth”. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be well pleased with him, became very angry and struck the face of Finhas with a mighty blow. He then said to him: “By Him in whose Hand is my soul, if it were not for the treaty between us, O enemy of Allah, I would have killed you”. Finhas went to the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, and said: “O Muhammad! Look at what your companion has done to me”. The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, asked Abu Bakr: “What has driven you to do what you have done?” He said: “O Messenger of Allah, this enemy of Allah has said something very serious. He claimed that Allah is poor and they are rich. I therefore got angry for the sake of Allah and hit his face”. But Finhas denied that he ever uttered those words, and so Allah, exalted is He, revealed this verse (Verily Allah heard the saying of those who said…) to give the lie to Finhas and to confirm that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq said the truth. ‘Abd al-Qahir ibn Tahir informed us> Abu ‘Amr ibn Matar> Ja‘far ibn al-Layth al-Ziyadi> Hudhayfah Musa ibn Mas‘ud> Shibl> Ibn Abi Najih> Mujahid who said: “This verse was revealed about the Jews; Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, had struck the face of one of their men who said ‘Allah is poor and we are rich’ ”. Shibl commented: “I was informed that this man was Finhas the Jew, and it is also this man who said: (Allah’s hand is fettered) [5:64]”. [Asbab Al-Nuzul by Al-Wahidi , trans. Mokrane Guezzou]

Allah revealed Surah 36 for the incident between Abu Bakr and Abu Jahl
-Abu Jahl was the kaafir laughing at Abu Bakr when he was feeding the poor

And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." (Ya-Sin 36:47)

-another reason why the Jews are cursed, they killed the prophets
Allah says:

Is it that whenever there came to you a Messenger with what you yourselves desired not, you grew arrogant? Some, you disbelieved and some, you killed. (Al-Baqarah 2:87)

Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Verily the most painful punishment on the Day of Judgment are those who kill the prophets or people murdered by the prophet or kill one of his parents, and making statues and knowledgeable people who do not benefit from his knowledge." [related by Bayhaqi in 'Shu'ab al-Iman' (10/288) No. 7504]

-the worst man on judgment day is the one who was killed by a prophet, or killed a prophet
-another reason why the Jews are cursed is because they dabble in black magic

And We decreed for the Children of Israel in the Scripture, that indeed you would do mischief on the earth twice and you will become tyrants and extremely arrogant! (Al-Isra 17:4)

-Allah told us in Surah 17:4 that the Jews would spread fitna twice in the land
-the first fitna was black magic after the Prophet Sulaiman
-when Sulaiman died, they went on a rampage
-they dabbled in black magic and killed all the prophets that came after
-the second mischief they will cause, is the occupation of Palestine
-and this is one of the prediction of the Holy Quran

http://www.authentictauheed.com/2011/11/225-prophecies-of-holy-quran.html

-the Jews are cursed also because they mix truth with falsehood hide the truth
-Also because of their Talmud Aqeedah
-the Jews knew Muhammad (SAW) was a prophet, the same way they recognise their sons
-but they hide this and refused to accept because he was an Arab
-all in the name of racism, they choose the hellfire over paradise in the name of asabiyyah
-Allah said in 2:146:

Those to whom We gave the Scripture (Jews and Christians) recognise him (Muhammad or the Ka'bah at Makkah) as they recongise their sons. But verily, a party of them conceal the truth while they know it - [i.e. the qualities of Muhammad which are written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)]. (Al-Baqarah 2:146)

وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ

…nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). (Al-Fatihah 1:7)

WHO ARE DALLEEN (THE MISGUIDED)?
-the Christians

WHY ARE THEY MISGUIDED?
-they are misguided because they introduced trinity
-they changed their religion from monotheism to polytheism
-this is paganism, Allah talks about them in Surah 5:73

Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. (Al-Ma'idah 5:73)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Council_of_Nicaea

-so because the Christians gathered at the council of Nicaea, and changed the religion
-this is why they are destined for the hellfire to abide forever

-Also because they make everything that is haram à halal

Imam Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Jarir At-Tabari recorded a Hadith via several chains of narration, from 'Adi bin Hatim (RA), who became a Christian during the time of Jahiliyya. When the call of the Messenger of Allah reached his area, 'Adi ran away to Ash-Sham, and his sister and several of his people were captured. The Messenger of Allah freed his sister and gave her gifts. So she went to her brother and encouraged him to become Muslim and to go to the Messenger of Allah. 'Adi, who was one of the chiefs of his people (the tribe of Tai') and whose father, Hatim At-Ta’i, was known for his generosity, went to Al-Madinah. When the people announced his arrival, 'Adi went to the Messenger of Allah wearing a silver cross around his neck. The Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah; They took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah. 'Adi commented, "I said, ‘They did not worship them.’" The Prophet said, ((Yes they did. They (rabbis and monks) prohibited the allowed for them (Christians and Jews) and allowed the prohibited, and they obeyed them. This is how they worshiped them.)) … They took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah… that the Christians and Jews obeyed their monks and rabbis in whatever they allowed or prohibited for them…" (Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Eng Abridged), First Edition: May 2000], Volume 4, pp. 409-410)

They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Maryam (Mary), while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded [in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) to worship none but One Ilah (God - Allah) La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)[]. Praise and glory be to Him, (far above is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him)." (At-Tawbah 9:31)

-one type of worship is bowing to idols
-but worshipping is also following someone who makes up his own religion
-also to be obedient to them

ALLAH HAS DIVIDED SURAH FATIHA INTO TWO PARTS:
- ONE FOR THE BELIEVERS AND ONE FOR ALLAH

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA) from the Prophet (SAW), who said: "A prayer performed by someone who has not recited the Essence of the Qur'an
1) during it is deficient (and he repeated the word three times), incomplete." Someone said to Abu Hurayrah: [Even though] we are behind the imam?
2) He said: Recite it to yourself, for I have heard the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of Allah be up on him) say: "Allah (mighty and sublime be He), had said: 'I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says: 'Al-hamdu lillahi rabbi l-alamin'
3), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: 'My servant has praised Me.' And when he says: 'Ar-rahmani r-rahim'
4), Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says: 'My servant has extolled Me,' and when he says: 'Maliki yawmi d-din'
5), Allah says: 'My servant has glorified Me' - and on one occasion He said: 'My servant has submitted to My power.' And when he says: 'Iyyaka na budu wa iyyaka nasta in'
6), He says: 'This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.' And when he says: 'Ihdina s-sirata l- mustaqim, siratal ladhina an amta alayhim ghayril-maghdubi alayhim wa la d-dallin'
7), He says: 'This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.'"
1) Surat al-Fatihah, the first surah (chapter) of the Qur'an.
2) i.e. standing behind the imam (leader) listening to him reciting al-Fatihah.
3) "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds."
4) "The Merciful, the Compassionate."
5) "Master of the Day of Judgement."
6) "It is You we worship and it is You we ask for help."
7) "Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favors, not of those against whom You are angry, nor of those who are astray." [Muslim (also by Malik, at-Tirmidhi, Abu-Dawud, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah)]

-Surah Faitha has many names it is called, ummul kitaab, the shi'faa (the cure) and many more

Narrated By Abu Said: A group of the companions of Allah's Apostle proceeded on a journey till they dismounted near one of the Arab tribes and requested them to entertain them as their guests, but they (the tribe people) refused to entertain them. Then the chief of that tribe was bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion) and he was given all sorts of treatment, but all in vain. Some of them said, "Will you go to the group (those travelers) who have dismounted near you and see if one of them has something useful?" They came to them and said, "O the group! Our leader has been bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion) and we have treated him with everything but nothing benefited him Has anyone of you anything useful?" One of them replied, "Yes, by Allah, I know how to treat with a Ruqya. But. by Allah, we wanted you to receive us as your guests but you refused. I will not treat your patient with a Ruqya till you fix for us something as wages." Consequently they agreed to give those travelers a flock of sheep. The man went with them (the people of the tribe) and started spitting (on the bite) and reciting Surat-al-Fatiha till the patient was healed and started walking as if he had not been sick. When the tribe people paid them their wages they had agreed upon, some of them (the Prophet's companions) said, "Distribute (the sheep)." But the one who treated with the Ruqya said, "Do not do that till we go to Allah's Apostle and mention to him what has happened, and see what he will order us." So they came to Allah's Apostle and mentioned the story to him and he said, "How do you know that Surat-al-Fatiha is a Ruqya? You have done the right thing. Divide (what you have got) and assign for me a share with you." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 7, Book 71, Hadith #645]

You are allowed to write Surah Fatiha on a piece of paper dip in water and drink it
-but you cannot have it as a Taweez, this is bi'dah

-Surah Fatiha, you praise Allah, and then you beg Him
-Surah Fatiha teaches us how to beg Allah
