- this Surah was revealed in holy Makkah
- and any Surah beginning with letters is a sign it was revealed there
- except Surah Baqara and Ali Imran
- they are Madani Surahs

See they not how Allah originates creation, then repeats it. Verily, that is easy for Allah. (Al-'Ankabut 29:19)

Say: "Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated creation, and then Allah will bring forth (resurrect) the creation of the Hereafter (i.e. resurrection after death). Verily, Allah is Able to do all things." (Al-'Ankabut 29:20)

He punishes whom He will, and shows mercy to whom He will, and to Him you will be returned. (Al-'Ankabut 29:21)

The hadith says if you do not commit sins
- Allah will wipe you out

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger having said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. [Sahih Muslim, Book 037, Hadith #6622]

- so you are not allowed to be a khawarij and give up hope
- for Allah forgives all sins except shirk
- so He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), who said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: 'My mercy prevails over my wrath.'" [Muslim 2751 (also by al-Bukhari 7553, an-Nasa'i 7707 and Ibn Majah 4295)]

- a man will come on judgement day and deserve to be punished but Allah will forgive him
- and grant him forgiveness and paradise

On the authority of Anas (RA), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: "Allah the Almighty said: 'O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.'" [At-Tirmidhi 3540 (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.]

Allah is Maliki yawmideen
- and this ayah has 3 meanings

The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). (Al-Fatihah 1:4)

But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:36) King James Version

- on judgment day a Muslim will come to Allah with 40 years of worship
- and a Jew with 400 years of worship, yet He will put the Muslim in paradise before the Jew
- he will complain to Allah about this
- and Allah will respond that yes He did because of lailatul qadr, which is given to this Ummah

And you cannot escape in the earth or in the heaven. And besides Allah you have neither any Wali (Protector or Guardian) nor any Helper. (Al-'Ankabut 29:22)

And those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah and the Meeting with Him, it is they who have no hope of My Mercy, and it is they who will (have) a painful torment. (Al-'Ankabut 29:23)
Allah is telling us that the kaafir has no hope
- He said;

Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account. (Aali Imran 3:19)

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. (Aali Imran 3:85)

- paradise is exclusive for the Muslims
- and a Jew or Christian cannot enter it
- so what about the Hindu and Buddhist?

If a child was born from a Muslim and Christian parents the child becomes a Muslims
- if he was born from a Muslim father and Jewish mother the child is a Muslim
- because according to Shariah law the child takes the better religion
- and the child takes the religion of the father
- but the Jews go by the mother

- those who deny paradise will be barred from entering it

So nothing was the answer of [Ibrahim's (Abraham)] people except that they said: "Kill him or burn him." Then Allah saved him from the fire. Verily, in this are indeed signs for a people who believe. (Al-'Ankabut 29:24)
Abraham debated with Nimrod and he told him my Lord gives life and takes life
- Nimrod said he can do the same
- so he set a murderer free and chopped off the head of the innocent man
- Abraham told him my Lord causes the sun to rise in the east and set in the west
- so you make it rise in the opposite and so the kaafir was defeated

They had a lengthy debate
- the people had a festival and all went except Ibrahim
- he stayed behind and chopped off the idols except the big one
- when they returned and asked he told them to ask the big idol
- but they said it cannot speak
- and so he defeated them because they worshipping a god that cannot speak

So he defeated the king in the debate
- he got so upset to be defeated by this 17 year old boy, he was a youth
- and youthfulness is a double edged sword, you can be brave but also stupid
- that is why you need the advice of the elders

After the debate Abraham was asked by Allah to kill 4 birds and put them in different mountains
- and by the power of Allah he called to them and they became birds again

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said, "My Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead." He (Allah) said: "Do you not believe?" He [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Yes (I believe), but to be stronger in Faith." He said: "Take four birds, then cause them to incline towards you (then slaughter them, cut them into pieces), and then put a portion of them on every hill, and call them, they will come to you in haste. And know that Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise." (Al-Baqarah 2:260)

- Nimrod saw this in front of his very eyes, but still he did not believe
- so they decided to gather a big fire and burn Ibrahim
- the biggest fire ever built, they spent a month to gather the firewood
- it took them this long because the kuffaar hate you

Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikûn (see V.2:105), and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: "We are Christians." That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud. (Al-Ma'idah 5:82)

They stripped him naked and tied him up to dump him in the fire
- they built a catapult to put him in the fire
- so that they would not be affected by it

He stayed in the fire for 40 days and 40 nights, but he did not get burned except the ropes
- Allah rescued him from the fire because it was commanded to be cold to Abraham

"And by Allah, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs." (Al-Anbiya 21:57)

So he broke them to pieces, (all) except the biggest of them, that they might turn to it. (Al-Anbiya 21:58)

They said: "Who has done this to our aliha (gods)? He must indeed be one of the wrong-doers." (Al-Anbiya 21:59)

They said: "We heard a young man talking (against) them who is called Ibrahim (Abraham)." (Al-Anbiya 21:60)

They said: "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may testify." (Al-Anbiya 21:61)

They said: "Are you the one who has done this to our gods, O Ibrahim (Abraham)?" (Al-Anbiya 21:62)

[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!" (Al-Anbiya 21:63)

So they turned to themselves and said: "Verily, you are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)." (Al-Anbiya 21:64)

Then they turned to themselves (their first thought and said): "Indeed you [Ibrahim (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not!" (Al-Anbiya 21:65)

[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you then worship besides Allah, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you? (Al-Anbiya 21:66)

"Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allah! Have you then no sense?" (Al-Anbiya 21:67)

They said: "Burn him and help your aliha (gods), if you will be doing." (Al-Anbiya 21:68)

We (Allah) said: "O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!" (Al-Anbiya 21:69)

And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. (Al-Anbiya 21:70)

Narrated By Um Sharik: Allah's Apostle ordered that the salamander should be killed and said, "It (i.e. the salamander) blew (the fire) on Abraham." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 55, Hadith #579]

And [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "You have taken (for worship) idols instead of Allah, and the love between you is only in the life of this world, but on the Day of Resurrection, you shall disown each other, and curse each other, and your abode will be the Fire, and you shall have no helper." (Al-'Ankabut 29:25)

- in the dunya you were partners in crime in kufr shirk and zandaqa
- but Allah is saying your love is short-lived
- because in the hereafter you will become enemies blaming one another

When those who were followed, disown (declare themselves innocent of) those who followed (them), and they see the torment, then all their relations will be cut off from them. (Al-Baqarah 2:166)

And those who followed will say: "If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us." Thus Allah will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire. (Al-Baqarah 2:167)

- on judgment day the followed and the followers will declare themselves innocent of each other
- even in the dunya the people blame each other when they fail
- so the Qur'an is the greatest book of sociology and psychology
- the kuffaar will fail in Afghanistan and so they will blame each other
- why did you go to the graveyard (Afghanistan) of all the so-called super powers
- if you want to be a proper shrink read the Qur'an
- a shrink is a psychologist and psychiatrist and also a counsellor
- even the shaytan will wash himself of those who followed him

And Shaitan (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: "Verily, Allah promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allah (by obeying me in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)." (Ibrahim 14:22)

- he will tell the people I was faking you with all my promises
- but the promise of Allah is the truth
- Iblees will tell the people I rejected faith in the kufr you were practising
- so do not blame me but yourselves, I only tempted you but had no power over you
- but you came to me willingly
- why could you not be like Umar (RA) whom I was afraid of

...the Messenger of Allah (SAW). Thereupon, Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if Satan would encounter you in the way he would certainly take a different way from that of yours. [Sahih Muslim, Book 31, Hadith #5899]

Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al-Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2). (Az-Zukhruf 43:67)

On judgement day there is no relationships or family ties of kufr shirk and zandaqa
- friends on that day will be foes one to another except the muttaqeen
- if you were partners in emaan you will help each other enter paradise
- but if your friendship was for the opposite then you would not be friends in the hereafter

You need to get 3 things right to be on the sirat al-mustaqeem

Aisha narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Those who give respect to a bid'ati (innovator in Religion) surely will be counted as a helper of destroying Islam." [al-Tabarani in 'al-Mu’jam al-Awsat' (7/35) No. 6772 and al-Bayhaqi in 'Shu'ab al-Emaan' (12/57) No. 9018]

- you are not allowed to help a bid'ati
- ibn Arabee al Maliki was a great scholar, we are referring to ibn Arabee as soofi

So Lout (Lot) believed in him [Ibrahim's (Abraham) Message of Islamic Monotheism]. He [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "I will emigrate for the sake of my Lord. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." (Al-'Ankabut 29:26)

- ibn Abbas said it was Abraham and this is the correct opinion
- he made hijrah from Iraq to Syria he did so because the people did not want believe in tauheed

And We bestowed on him [Ibrahim (Abraham)], Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya'qûb (Jacob), and ordained among his offspring Prophethood and the Book [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) (to Mûsa Moses), the Injeel (Gospel) (to 'Iesa Jesus), the Qur'an (to Muhammad SAW), all from the offspring of Ibrahim (Abraham)] and We granted him his reward in this world, and verily, in the Hereafter he is indeed among the righteous. (Al-'Ankabut 29:27)

It is not permissible for any prophet to come from any bloodline except that of Abraham
- Abraham made a dua for Allah to send Muhammad

Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own (and indeed Allah answered their invocation by sending Muhammad Peace be upon him ), who shall recite unto them Your Verses and instruct them in the Book (this Qur'an) and Al-Hikmah (full knowledge of the Islamic laws and jurisprudence or wisdom or Prophethood, etc.) and sanctify them. Verily! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." (Al-Baqarah 2:129)

- why is Iraq and Saudi Arabia rich with oil?
- and why Saudi is peaceful? This is because of the dua of Abraham

And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: "You commit Al-Fahishah (sodomy the worst sin) which none has preceded you in (committing) it in the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns)." (Al-'Ankabut 29:28)

- if a man should sodomise his wife he is a faasiq
- but if he does this with another man he is a kaafir
- but if a man was a homosexual and abandoned it and made taubah, then he is a Muslim
- but if he said that is his sexual preference and refused to abandon it, then he becomes a kaafir

If a person was born with 2 private parts (hermaphrodite)
- you need a Muslim doctor to see you and see which gender is predominant
- and they gender recommended by him is what you will become
- there is nothing like sexual preference
- there are people who think a gay can be a Muslim

- yet they allowed me to graduate

- I refused this and made it clear to them
- because ibn Abbas only asked them to pay sadaqah

That they have to feed the poor only, and do not have to make up the fasts. Among the Sahabah, this was the view of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA). Ibn Qudamah also narrated this in al-Mughni (3/150) from Ibn 'Umar (RA). Abu Dawood (2318) narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) and Ali (RA) that this phrase; 'those who can fast with difficulty [Surah al-Baqarah (2):184] was a concession granted to old men and old women who find it difficult to fast, allowing them not to fast and to feed one poor person for each day instead, and the same for pregnant and breastfeeding women if they are afraid. Abu Dawood said, i.e., for their children they may not fast and may feed (the poor) instead.' Al-Nawawi said, 'its isnad is hasan.' This was also narrated by al-Bazzar who added at the end, 'Ibn Abbas used to say to a concubine of his who was pregnant: You are like one who cannot fast, so you have to pay the Fidya but you do not have to make up the fasts. Al-Daraqutni classed its isnad as saheeh, as stated by al-Hafiz in al-Talkhees

- I refused this because of the hadith where Bilal saw the spot on the cheek of the woman

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: I observed prayer with the Messenger of Allah on the Id day. He commenced with prayer before the sermon, without adhan or iqama. He then stood up leaning on Bilal and he commanded (them) to be on guard (against evil for the sake of) Allah and he exhorted (them) on obedience to Him, and he preached to the people and admonished them. He then walked on till he came to the women and preached to them and admonished them and encouraged them to give alms, for most of them are the fuel for Hell. A woman having a dark spot on her cheek stood up and said, "Why is it so, Messenger of Allah?". He said, "For you grumble often and show ingratitude to your spouses". And they began to give alms out of their ornaments such as their earrings and rings, which they threw in the cloak of Bilal. [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith #1926]

- I will never accept this because the 4 great caliphs killed them and burnt their bodies

There is a difference of opinion concerning the punishment for the one who commits sodomy. The following are the opinions that were mentioned by Imam Ash-Shawkani in "Nayl Al-Awtar" , Vol. 7/p122-124.
1) That he is killed with the sword, then burnt. This is narrated from Abu Bakr and 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib.
2) That a wall should be collapsed upon him. This was the opinion of 'Umar and 'Uthman.
3) That he should be thrown from the highest building in the city, then that should be followed up with him being pelted with rocks. This was the opinion of Ibn 'Abbas.
4) That he is stoned. This is narrated by Al-Bayhaqi from 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Ash-Sha'bi, Az-Zuhri, Malik, Ahmad, Is'haq, and Ash-Shafi'i.
5) That they are burned. This was narrated by Al-Bayhaqi, that Abu Bakr gathered the Sahabah and 'Ali mentioned this, and the Sahabah agreed upon it. It was also mentioned by Al-Munthiri that it was done by Abu Bakr, 'Ali, 'Abdullah Ibn Az-Zubayr, and Hisham Ibn 'Abdil-Malik.
6) That he is stoned, then burnt with fire. This is narrated from the Sahabah agreeing upon it in the time of Abu Bakr.
7) That the punishment is the same as Zina, in that if he is a virgin, he is whipped, and if he is not, then he is stoned.
8) That there is no prescribed punishment, rather it is left up to the Imam to perform Ta'zir, and this was narrated from Abu Hanifah, and one narration from Ash-Shafi'i, and others.
Ash-Shawkani refutes the opinion of the punishment being the same as Zina, as well as the opinion that there is only Ta'zir, and supports the opinion that he is killed, but does not appear to specify which way of killing is the strongest.

Gay Imam in Cape Town: http://www.al-bab.com/arab/articles/text/gt_may2007.htm

The maulanas say this man Mohsin Hendricks is a Satanist
- even some kuffaar do not endorse gay marriages
- Mitt Romney, US Presidential candidate for 2012 - is a Mormon, against homosexuality

Mitt Romney reaffirms opposition to gay marriage:

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

"Verily, you do sodomy with men, and rob the wayfarer (travellers, etc.)! And practise Al-Munkar (disbelief and polytheism and every kind of evil wicked deed) in your meetings." But his people gave no answer except, that they said: "Bring Allah's Torment upon us if you are one of the truthful." (Al-'Ankabut 29:29)
- why are you hastening Allah's torment?
- you are such fools

The city of Sodom was in between Jordan and Palestine
- they used to fart loud and compete with each other
- the people of Lut were the first to introduce highway robbing
- they made animals fight for their own entertainment
- so they had no morals, they did this in public

He said: "My Lord! Give me victory over the people who are Mufsidûn (those who commit great crimes and sins, oppressors, tyrants, mischief-makers, corrupts). (Al-'Ankabut 29:30)

And when Our Messengers came to Ibrahim (Abraham) with the glad tidings they said: "Verily, we are going to destroy the people of this [Lout's (Lot's)] town (i.e. the town of Sodom in Palestine) truly, its people have been Zalimûn [wrong-doers, polytheists and disobedient to Allah, and have also belied their Messenger Lout (Lot)]." (Al-'Ankabut 29:31)

- messengers here were 2 angels and they brought 2 news to Ibrahim (AS)

What is the glad tidings the Angels gave Abraham?
- one was good news, the other news was a bad one
1. his wife Sarah will get pregnant and give birth to Ishaq
2. destruction of the people of Lut

- whenever you have 2 news and one is good the other bad
- you should give the good news first

The saltiest sea on earth is the dead sea
- it was where the people of Sodom were
- Europeans save money to go the dead sea to take a dip

Ibrahim (Abraham) said: "But there is Lout (Lot) in it." They said:"We know better who is there, we will verily save him [Lout (Lot)] and his family, except his wife, she will be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed along with those who will be destroyed from her folk)." (Al-'Ankabut 29:32)

- so whenever a woman is refusing to make hijrah
- we say she is on the manhaj of Lut's wife
- it is not surprising the wife of Lut could not make hijrah
- the comfort provided by these countries will make them refuse to make hijrah

And when Our Messengers came to Lout (Lot), he was grieved because of them, and felt straitened on their account. They said: "Have no fear, and do not grieve! Truly, we shall save you and your family, except your wife, she will be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed along with those who will be destroyed from her folk). (Al-'Ankabut 29:33)The Angels came in the form of handsome young men
- so Lut asked them to come at maghrib time, so the people will not see them
- Allah sent the angels as handsome young men as a fitna
- the people used to tell Lut not to have male guest
- and Lut was very worried for his guests because he did not know they were angels
- even Abraham did not know this, that was why he prepared for them food
- and provided them with the best hospitality

Angels do not eat or cohabit
- and so those who believe Iblees is an angel are wrong
- he is a Jinn and was never an angel
- Allah said;

And (remember) when We said to the angels; "Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimûn (polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc). (Al-Kahf 18:50)

- the Mu’tazlites have this belief as well as the Christians
- whenever a person is a Mu’tazila he tries to veto Allah and the Shi’ites are Mu’tazlite too

Some women cannot leave darul harb
- their hearts are attracted to it
- when you find them a husband who is not in darul harb they do not accept
- the prophet said the majority of the followers of the dajjaal will be women
- they gravitate towards dunya

Ibn Umar (RA) narrated the Prophet (SAW) said: “The Dajjal will come to this pond in Marriqanaat (a valley in Madina). Most of the people who follow the Dajjal will be women till a man has to use rope to tie up his mother, daughter, sister and aunt out of fear that they will leave the home to follow the Dajjal. Then Allah will grant victory to the Muslims over the Dajjal so the Muslims will kill the Dajjal and his party who will be the Jews. The Jews will run behind a tree and a stone to hide from the Muslims and the tree and the stone will call out 'O Muslim a Jew is behind me so come and kill him.’" [Musnad Ahmad (2/67) No. 5353 and Tabarani in ‘al-Mu’jam al-Kabir’ (12/307) No. 13197]

If you are contented with the act of kufr you become a kaafir
- this is the principle of the Shariah
- you need to reject all falsehood and believe in Allah
- then you become a full fledge Muslim

The wife of Lut did not dabble in homosexuality
- but her heart was connected to it and so she was destroyed
- this destruction was brought down by Jibril (AS)
- Lut's wife stayed behind because she did not want to make hijrah
- and so she was among those destroyed

So a prophet can have a kaafir wife
- because emaan is not inherited

Verily, we are about to bring down on the people of this town a great torment from the sky, because they have been rebellious (against Allah's Command)." (Al-'Ankabut 29:34)

- he was worried for his guest because he thought they were human
- just like Abraham did not know when he prepared food for them
- but when he realised they were angels he asked them for their mission
- because Allah sends angels on earth with a mission

So 2 prophets were living simultaneously
- Abraham and his nephew Lut
- so even prophets have emotions and care about their kit and kin
- every prophet was sent to a nation but Muhammad was sent to whole of mankind

How did the people find out men arrive in the house of Lut?
- his wife built a fire on the roof of their house to signal to the homosexuals
- so sometimes your own wife can be your enemy, she stabbed her husband in the back

O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you (i.e. may stop you from the obedience of Allah), therefore beware of them! But if you pardon (them) and overlook, and forgive (their faults), then verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (At-Taghabun 64:14)

Gays are not buried in the graveyards of the Muslims
- the caliphs burnt their bodies
- burning their bodies will make their families not claim for it

The people calling themselves gay-Muslim alliance try to put a spin on the ayah
- they say Allah punished the people of Sodom because they attempted to rape angel Gabriel
- if they had not attempted this, Allah would have left them alone to be homosexuals

And indeed We have left thereof an evident Ayah (a lesson and a warning and a sign the place where the Dead Sea is now in Palestine) for a folk who understand. (Al-'Ankabut 29:35)

- the dead sea is a sign for mankind
- because it remained the saltiest sea on earth
