Allah Ta'la said in surah 47:7

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. (Muhammad 47:7)

-the prophet (SAW) said;

Narrated By Anas: Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed," A man said, "O Allah's Apostle! I will help him if he is oppressed, but if he is an oppressor, how shall I help him?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing (others), for that is how to help him." [Sahhi Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 85, Hadith #084]

-I want to speak on this topic because we are faced by enemies with weaponry
-and the authority is being given to the kuffaar, munafiqeen and apostates
-and our authority is taken from us

We are living at a time that we are killed all over the world
-Muslims all over suffering oppression and tyranny
-they are put in prison and the kuffaar are bringing all their kufr in our lands
-Muslims in Yemen, Somalia, Chechnya Syria are suffering

The people are divided in what they believe as to what is the way forward
-some people believe we should have education
-some believe we should make dhikr and keep quiet
-some believe we should wait till the Mahdi comes and get the victory
-some believe we should integrate with the society and be involved with them
-and in that way they will accept us
-some believe in calling for democracy
-some people say we should have our Islamic parties and stand for election
-and then use their system to implement the religion
-some believe we should not do this but live isolated and not bother anyone
-but some people believe in Dawah and Jihad and rising against the tawagheet and oppressors

-is it correct to say in this time we should be stubborn and hold on to the Islamic principles?
-or should we be tolerant and make things easy for ourselves and make haram halal
-giving our allegiance to the kuffaar?
-or should we be quiet and ignore all the oppression and close our eyes to it until Allah gives the victory?

Will we get the victory and support of Allah if we are quiet?
-are we wrong to be stubborn to stand firm on the deen commanding good and forbidding evil?
-what is the solution?

In order to answer this, we need to know history of these conflicts
-we need to follow the reality of what happened during the time of the prophet
-the conflict between the Muslims and the kuffaar
-the truth and falsehood is from the Sunnah of Allah, it is sunnah Rabbaniyya
-Allah said;

Many similar ways (and mishaps of life) were faced by nations (believers and disbelievers) that have passed away before you (as you have faced in the battle of Uhud), so travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allah, and disobeyed Him and His Messengers). (Aali Imran 3:137)

-Allah said do not think what happened to you is new
-look to what happened before to the kuffaar
-Allah also said;

But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. Then, can they expect anything (else), but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples of old? So no change will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing), and no turning off will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing). (Fatir 35:43)

Nothing can ever stop the sunnah of Allah
-it is different from the sunnah of the prophet, he said to leave the beard, they shave it
-he said celebrate 2 Eids some people add the maulud, but nobody can change the sunnah of Allah
-His Sunnah is that the people will always fight each other
-and truth and falsehood will always be in confrontation
-and if this does not happen there will be a lot of corruption on earth
-and a lot of worship places will be destroyed
Allah said;

Those who have been expelled from their homes unjustly only because they said: "Our Lord is Allah." - For had it not been that Allah checks one set of people by means of another, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, wherein the Name of Allah is mentioned much would surely have been pulled down. Verily, Allah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty. (Al-Hajj 22:40)

-Allah will support the one that supports His Deen, so there will always be this conflict
-it is a guaranteed fact until judgement day
-Allah also told us how victory will come, it will only come when we support the deen of Allah
-to defend the Muslims and the Ummah, Allah will support those who give support to this Deen
-not those who sit and wait for Mahdi

Allah said we will have our great days of authority feared by everybody
-with armies unlike any army today
-we used to have an army of 60 million and used to conquer the East and the West
-there was those times of victory and strength

But there will also be time that you will be weak
-not because we are wrong or doing wrong
-but it is of Allah's Sunnah that we will be victorious sometimes and some days we lose
-we will kill sometimes and sometimes be killed
-and if we want the support of Allah we have to support the Deen
-fight the mushrikeen with our bodies, wealth and tongues
-this is what Allah wants

If we were always victorious how will some Muslims achieve Shahadah?
-this great reward that we can never achieve without it
Allah said in 3:139-143:

So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. (Aali Imran 3:139)

If a wound (and killing) has touched you, be sure a similar wound (and killing) has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allah likes not the Zalimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers). (Aali Imran 3:140)

And that Allah may test (or purify) the believers (from sins) and destroy the disbelievers. (Aali Imran 3:141)

Do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allah tests those of you who fought (in His Cause) and (also) tests those who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)? (Aali Imran 3:142)

You did indeed wish for death (AshShahadah - martyrdom) before you met it. Now you have seen it openly with your own eyes. (Aali Imran 3:143)

This is how Allah alternates the days
-the haqq rises and baatil falls and then alternates
-so that Allah will show the real believers and real disbelievers
-if there was only victory for us and under Islam, why would hellfire be filled?
-so this conflict exposes who deserves the reward or punishment

So that Allah will take martyrs from you
-and know which of the believers will come forward and fight
-and which ones will say do not go fight wait for the Mahdi or Khilafah

You will be tested before you can enter Jannah
-Allah said you wished to die before you met it
-but now you see it in your very eyes

If we want victory we must make dua and have tawwakul
-this tawakkul is to fight and speak the truth fearing only Allah
-at tawaakul is not to be lazy and pretend to be waiting for Allah to give you rizq and help
-waiting for it to come from the sky, this person does not tie his camel
-but the one with tawakkul will tie the camel first then put trust in Allah

Anas ibn Malik reported that someone asked, “O Messenger of Allah, shall I tether it and trust in Allah or untie it and place trust in Allah”? He said, “Tie it and trust in Allah." [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/668) No. 2517, Sahih Ibn Hibban (2/510) No. 731, Shu'ab al-Iman al-Bayhaqi (2/428) No. 1161]

Making dua for victory without any fighting will not bring it
-you have to say: ‘oh Allah make us strong so that we can defeat the kuffaar’
-not: ‘give us victory and we sit at home’
-Allah said;

And they said nothing but: "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk." (Aali Imran 3:147)

-the way people say ‘nowadays the way to victory is not Jihaad, not by coming out…’
-‘it is by giving allegiance, compromise with them, be with them, help them.’

O you who believe! If you obey those who disbelieve, they will send you back on your heels, and you will turn back (from Faith) as losers. (Aali Imran 3:149)

-meaning Allah will never give you Victory if you give up al-walaa wal baraa
-rather He will protect you and support you, if you hold on strong to Allah.

Nay, Allah is your Maula (Patron, Lord, Helper and Protector, etc.), and He is the Best of helpers. (Aali Imran 3:150)

We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zalimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers). (Aali Imran 3:151)

-rather Allah is your supporter and Allah will put fear in the hearts of the disbelievers.
-So how can people think that by compromising the Deen
-by giving allegiance to the Queen will give us Victory?!
-do not look for help from the Kuffar, the Mushrikeen, Allah warned you against them.
-Allah warned us as well that the only way to gain victory
-is to come out and command good and forbid evil.
-Prophet (pbuh) was asked what is the best form of Jihaad and he (SAW) said:

Abu Sa'ed al-Khudri narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The best Jihad is to speak a word of truth to an oppressive ruler." [Sunan Abu Dawud (4/124) No. 4344, Sunan Ibn Majah (5/144) No. 4011, Sunan Tirmidhi (4/471) No. 2174]

-this is the way to Victory.
-if we are silent against the rulers, what is going to happen?

And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor you would then be helped. (Hud 11:113)

-it is the haqq we must speak against them and if we do not, Allah will never support us.

In fact if we look at how Allah gave Victory to Prophet (pbuh)
-the Battle of Uhud came after Battle of Badr
-in Badr the Muslims gain victory against the kuffaar
-even though in Badr they were only 300 something and the kuffaar outnumbered the Muslims.
-yet Allah gave Muslims the Victory with the help of His Angels.
-but then in the Battle of Uhud, it was a different situation
-even though they had more number of people, so what happened? What was the difference?
-it was because in Badr, the Muslims had Imaan, Tawwakul in Allah.
-but in Uhud, some believers started to disobey Prophet (pbuh) with his command.

-like how when some people when Allah says, do not deal with Alcohol, gambling, interest etc

O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, AlAnsab, and AlAzlam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaitan's (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful. (Al-Ma'idah 5:90)

-yet they say, ‘Akhi we are weak’

-Allah says do not help the Kuffar, stay away from them

O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists, etc.) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, this Qur'an, and Muhammad SAW), and have driven out the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) and yourselves (from your homeland) because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, (then take not these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends). You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you (Muslims) does that, then indeed he has gone (far) astray, (away) from the Straight Path. (Al-Mumtahinah 60:1)

-yet the Muslims become their spies, join their police etc.
-even though in Uhud the Muslims did nothing compared to what we have today
-Prophet (pbuh) said: ‘do not leave your positions’

He added: "Defend our backs! If you see us slain. Do not come to assist us; and if you see gaining grounds, do not share us." [Fath Al-Bari 7/350]

In a version by Al-Bukhâri the Prophet [pbuh] said: "If you see us snatched into pieces by birds, do not leave this position of yours till I send for you. And if you see that we have defeated the enemy and trodden on them do not desert your position till I send for you." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, the Book of Jihad 1/426]

-but some disobeyed and left their positions and because of that they were defeated.
-because of that Khalid bin Waleed was able to injure the Muslims.
-that is when Allah said, do not feel down or depressed because Allah gives victory after defeat.

And don't be weak in the pursuit of the enemy; if you are suffering (hardships) then surely, they (too) are suffering (hardships) as you are suffering, but you have a hope from Allah (for the reward, i.e. Paradise) that for which they hope not, and Allah is Ever AllKnowing, AllWise. (An-Nisa 4:104)

-Allah said do not fear, for they the disbelievers have no hope
-meaning they have no hope for Jannah, whereas we Muslims have hope for Jannah.
-this ayah was when the Muslims were weak
-Allah ordered the Prophet to chase them even though they are weak
-but go out and confront them.
-this is the Sunnah of Allah, this is how Victory will come.

-Do not sit down even if you are weak.
-and that is what the Prophet (pbuh) did, he was commanded to chase them
-even if they were hurt and weak.
-he (SAW) asked for volunteers to spy on them to see whether they were riding horses or camels.
-and when they found out when they were riding camels, Prophet (SAW) went after them.

-So even at those times when Prophet (pbuh) and his companions were weak and hurt
-they never stopped.
-fight and stand up with your strength, your body, never step back

"And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, He will send you (from the sky) abundant rain, and add strength to your strength, so do not turn away as Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah)." (Hud 11:52)

-Allah is the One who will give us the strength and never ally with the disbelievers.

For those who answered their Lord's Call [believed in the Oneness of Allah and followed His Messenger Muhammad SAW i.e. Islamic Monotheism] is Al-Husna (i.e. Paradise). But those who answered not His Call (disbelieved in the Oneness of Allah and followed not His Messenger Muhammad SAW), if they had all that is in the earth together with its like, they would offer it in order to save themselves (from the torment, it will be in vain). For them there will be the terrible reckoning. Their dwelling place will be Hell; - and worst indeed is that place for rest. (Ra'd 13:18)

-When Allah calls you to come out to call for Allah's deen, for His Law
-Allah will give them Jannah and support them.

-And those who go against and even though they have all the wealth, etc
-but did not respond to Allah's order of supporting His deen, you will get Helllfire.
-if you obey Allah, follow and establish His deen, indeed you will get the Victory.

Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (An-Nur 24:55)

-He will make tamkeen-established, strength that no one can oppose you.
-this is the way we will get victory, Establishing His deen, supporting His Deen going against the kuffaar
-No one can help us if Allah will not help us or support us.
-Allah said He promised the believers that who do good deeds and establish the Deen on Earth -Allah will give them Victory, only those who play this role and come out for the Muslim Brothers and Sisters.

-in order to support their Muslim Brothers and Sisters, help them, aid them.
-we cannot be of those that our Muslims are crying for help and we do nothing.
-like those in Syria, being tortured, killed, kidnapped, humiliated, etc
-yet we do nothing, we cannot be of those who feel defeated and weak, this is all wrong.

And many a Prophet (i.e. many from amongst the Prophets) fought (in Allah's Cause) and along with him (fought) large bands of religious learned men. But they never lost heart for that which did befall them in Allah's Way, nor did they weaken nor degrade themselves. And Allah loves As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). (Aali Imran 3:146)

-no matter how much hardship they faced in Jihad fee sabi Lillah
-they were always firm and standing strong.
-Sabr is not always patience. Patience does not always means standing and waiting for a bus.
-As-Sabr is to never disobey Allah, stand firm, do not compromise.
-And that is how we will have the Victory.

-they are not calling for Shariah, the main system of Islam to rule with the law of Allah
-for the Muslims to have authority to rule by the Shariah is by giving bay’ah to one caliph
-this is something which is missing and we cannot neglect

-the dawah and jihad to speak about Islam, to command good and forbid evil.
-to call people to deen, this is neglected nowadays
-they are even ignoring and rejecting to stand against those who do shirk.
-they are not even supporting with their hands and tongues or words.
-those who are in the West, they have an obligation to make the disbelievers to listen to them
-like how at the time of Prophet (pbuh) had a poet with him
-who would make the disbelievers listen to him via poetry.

...After that he started reciting cheerfully, "O Hubal, be high! (1) On that the Prophet said (to his companions), "Why don't you answer him back?" They said, "O Allah's Apostle What shall we say?" He said, "Say, Allah is Higher and more Sublime." (Then) Abu Sufyan said, "We have the (idol) Al Uzza, and you have no Uzza." The Prophet said (to his companions), "Why don't you answer him back?" They asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What shall we say?" He said, "Says Allah is our Helper and you have no helper." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 52, Hadith #276]

-All this is part of our duty to speak for the Deen, Jihad, Shariah.

And indeed they had already made a covenant with Allah not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allah must be answered for. (Al-Ahzab 33:15)
