You should remember that whenever we speak about help
-it is preceded by difficulty and these could be in different aspects of our lives

Let us remember some facts
-Allah Himself said there are 3 sources of help

1. He Allah responds to the distressed one
-and makes you inheritors of the earth
-nations after nations

Is not He (better than your gods) Who responds to the distressed one, when he calls Him, and Who removes the evil, and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations. Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Little is that you remember! (An-Naml 27:62)

Allah also said when storm touched you in the sea
-and there was no one to help
-you turned to Allah for help in terms of difficulties, just like we do now
-in times of difficulties we ask Allah for help for only He can rescue

And when harm touches you upon the sea, those that you call upon besides Him vanish from you except Him (Allah Alone). But when He brings you safely to land, you turn away (from Him). And man is ever ungrateful. (Al-Isra 17:67)

Do you then feel secure that He will not cause a side of the land to swallow you up, or that He will not send against you a violent sand-storm? Then, you shall find no Wakil (guardian one to guard you from the torment). (Al-Isra 17:68)

Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back a second time to sea and send against you a hurricane of wind and drown you because of your disbelief, then you will not find any avenger therein against Us? (Al-Isra 17:69)

But when Allah brings you safe to the land you turn away
-but you cannot find any avenger against His Wrath

We learn this lesson regarding asking for help
-but the Muslims are turning to ask from creations
-Allah is the only one we should turn to help
-and He gave us directions as to how to turn to Him
-he said He is the sufficient as the helper

Allah has full knowledge of your enemies, and Allah is Sufficient as a Wali (Protector), and Allah is Sufficient as a Helper. (An-Nisa 4:45)

Allah made it only as glad tidings, and that your hearts be at rest therewith. And there is no victory except from Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. (Al-Anfal 8:10)

Allah has decreed: "Verily! It is I and My Messengers who shall be the victorious." Verily, Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty. (Al-Mujadilah 58:21)

His names should tell us:Aziz Naseer should tell us He is the only Helper

...our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Suppor-ter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people." (Al-Baqarah 2:286)

We make dua for Allah to forgive us
-for He is our maula and to grant us victory against the kuffaar

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. (Muhammad 47:7)

We as Muslims as servants of Allah have to help him by helping His deen
-we cannot help Him, so what the ayah means is to help His deen
-Allah said;

For each (person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him.[] They guard him by the Command of Allah. Verily! Allah will not change the good condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of goodness themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allah). But when Allah wills a people's punishment, there can be no turning back of it, and they will find besides Him no protector. (Ra'd 13:11)

-help against the murtaddin, munafiqeen and mushrikeen who are plotting against the deen
-but He will not change the condition of a people until they change themselves
-which is going back to the Deen and the Tawheed and Shariah
-and the establishment of the Muslims on earth

Allah said;

And those who disbelieve are allies to one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so (i.e. become allies, as one united block with one Khalifah - chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world to make victorious Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism), there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism, etc.) and oppression on earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism). (Al-Anfal 8:73)

Those (Muslim rulers) who, if We give them power in the land, (they) order for Iqamat-as-Salat. [i.e. to perform the five compulsory congregational Salat (prayers) (the males in mosques)], to pay the Zakat and they enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism and all that Islam has forbidden) [i.e. they make the Qur'an as the law of their country in all the spheres of life]. And with Allah rests the end of (all) matters (of creatures). (Al-Hajj 22:41)

-Allah said those rulers who were helped against their enemies
-if given power on earth continue to obey and establish the salah and forbid the munkar
-and make the Qur'an the law of the country

Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (An-Nur 24:55)

Allah again talked about establishment on earth
-and victory is promised to those that believe and establish the law of Allah
-to maintain these before and after the help
-the conditions are to worship with no shirk

We talking about what is preceding the help
-and what happens if you do not maintain what you are supposed to do
-the help will disappear and the cycle will start all over again

People before asked the prophets for help from Allah and they got it
-then opportunity was given for establishment on the earth, but they failed
-e.g. from the children of Israel
-Allah said We punished the enemies in the sea because they denied our ayats
-and we made the weak people to inherit the land and to rule over it

So We took retribution from them. We drowned them in the sea, because they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were heedless about them. (Al-A'raf 7:136)

And We made the people who were considered weak to inherit the eastern parts of the land and the western parts thereof which We have blessed. And the fair Word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because of their endurance. And We destroyed completely all the great works and buildings which Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people erected. (Al-A'raf 7:137)

This was done because of the endurance of the children of Israel
-we destroyed the tyrant and his followers
-and gave victory to bani Israel

Today we see the same
-after the tawagheet in the Arab lands are falling down
-there is little feeling of the freedom to practice and we see the plots of the enemies
-but what is the reaction of those who were asking for help?

And We brought the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea, and they came upon a people devoted to some of their idols (in worship). They said: "O Musa (Moses)! Make for us an ilahan (a god) as they have aliha (gods)." He said: "Verily, you are a people who know not (the Majesty and Greatness of Allah and what is obligatory upon you, i.e. to worship none but Allah Alone, the One and the Only God of all that exists)." (Al-A'raf 7:138)

The children of Israel after the victory they asked Musa questions instead
-this was revealed after the fath of Makkah
-and the Sahabah were passing a tree used by the mushrikeen for help
-some people asked the prophet permission to do just like the mushrikeen
-to get help at Hunain

Abu Waqid Laythi reported that when the Prophet (SAW) went out for the Battle of Hunayn, he passed by a tree belonging to the polytheists. It was known as dhaat anwat. They used to hang down their weapons over it. The sahabah said, “O Messenger of Allah, (SAW) make for us a dhaat anwat as there is for them a dhaat anwat.” He said, “Glory be to Allah! This is as what the people of Musa (AS) said, “Make for us a god as there is for them a god. By Him who has my soul in His hand, you will perpetrate the practices of the people gone before you.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/475) No. 2180, Musnad Ahmad (5/218) No. 21950]

Rasul (SAW) made takbir and said these were the ways of the people before
-and of the people of Israel, after victory they asked Musa to make them an idol
-they asked for an idol like that of the mushrikeen
-they forgot all the conditions they were in before the victory and asked for an idol to worship

Instead of establishing the laws of Allah, people are asking for democracy, which is shirk
-we are not maintaining the conditions
-that were the attraction for the help of Allah to come

Let us remember as we are claiming to be Muslims
-we remember the picture of Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahal, after the victory of Makkah came
-he ran away from Makkah and went to the ocean to run to Abyssinia, but a huge storm came
-and the people in the boat asked each other to make dua to Allah
-for none can save except Him, just like the people are saying today

So Ikrimah also said if indeed only He can help, then let Him help me
-who else helped the Muslims to victory except Him? So he beseeched Allah to save him
-and when he is saved, he will give bay'a to rasul (SAW)

Allah brought calm to the boat, and he did not fail his words
-he travelled back to the prophet and took his Shahadah
-this should be a lesson to the Muslims

The ocean is on the ground here
-the recipes are the same, turn to Allah for help
-and when the help arises, keep those same conditions to maintain the help
-to have Tawheed and establish Salah and the Shariah on earth
-this is the only way
