Tafseer Surah Fatiha
Question 1: Do you say the basmalah out loud before starting the wadhu, or can you say it inside yourself?Answer 1: You say it out loud for yourself to hear it, there is no hadith saying you cannot say bismillah in your bathroom.
Question 2: My husband had a dream about the Messenger Muhammad (saw). He saw himself praying in a Masjid he never seen in his life he become scared then he went on the side wondering where is he and then he wanted to see who is leading the prayer then he saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) and he ran to the Messenger and said salaamu alaykum. Then two men took him away and make him sit with men on the side and one of them was a man with white beard and white hair there was a light on his face and said to my husband, “wait for your turn there are so many people that want to shake the Messengers hands”, and then when he looked at the Messenger of Allah asking forgiveness then my husband was crying.
Answer 2: If you see yourself praying behind the prophet (saw) it means you are rightly guided. The interpretation of this dream is that your husband is rightly guided.
Question 3: Assalam alaikum shaikh, when do we recite the basmalah out loud or silently?
Answer 3: There is a hadith saying that the Prophet (saw) when he used to lead the salah he didn’t read the basmallah out loud. In other times you say bismillah out loud for you to hear it. Before eating, sleeping, drinking and before sleeping with your spouse. But for salah you say in your heart.
Question 4: Is the dua of surah Fatiha excepted even though sometimes you tend not to have khushu while reciting?
Answer 4: It’s impossible to pray a perfect salah but you should try and pray with as much khushu as possible.
Question 5: Which Prophets did the Jews kill?
Answer 5: The Jews killed Yahya and his father Zakiriyyah, and they tried to kill the prophet (saw) with poison.
Narrated By Anas bin Malik: A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet who ate from it. She was brought to the Prophet and he was asked, "Shall we kill her?" He said, "No." I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah's Apostle. [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 3, Book 47, Hadith #786]
