قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا

Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (that which I have brought from my Lord and its preaching, etc.), save that whosoever wills, may take a Path to his Lord. (Al-Furqan 25:57)

The Rasool (SAW) did not invite people to Islam and then charge them - he did it fesabilillah
- the prophet did not charge anyone for teaching Qur'an
- if someone is an expert in reciting Qur'an he is allowed to charge a fee, as per Imam Shafi'i

Sahl ibn Sad Saidi (RA) reported that a woman came to Allah’s Messenger (SAW) and said, “I submit myself to you”. Then, she stood for a long time. A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, marry me to her, if you do not need her”. He said, “Do you have anything to give her (by way of dower)?’ He said, “I have nothing but this lower wrapper of the body”. So, Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “If you give it to her then you will sit and have no lower garment on you. So, Look out for something else”. He said, “I do not find”. The Prophet (SAW) said, “Search, even if you find an iron ring”. He said, “I sought but could not find anything”. So, Allah’s Messenger asked him, “Do you have with you anything of the Qur’an?” He said, “Yes, That surah, and that surah. So Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “I marry you, to her with what you have of the Qur’an”. [Tirmidhi 1114, Ahmed 22850, Bukhari 5029, Muslim 1425, Nisai 3339]

Ibn `Abbas narrated: 'Some of the companions of the Prophet passed by some people staying at a place where there was water, and one of those people had been stung by a scorpion. A man from those staying near the water, came and said to the companions of the Prophet, "Is there anyone among you who can do Ruqya as near the water there is a person who has been stung by a scorpion." So one of the Prophet's companions went to him and recited Surat-al-Fatiha for a sheep as his fees. The patient got cured and the man brought the sheep to his companions who disliked that and said, "You have taken wages for reciting Allah's Book." When they arrived at Medina, they said, ' O Messenger of Allah! (This person) has taken wages for reciting Allah's Book" On that the Messenger of Allah said, “The thing for which you most deserve to take payment is the Book of Allah.”' [Sahih Bukhari (7/131) No. 5737]

- we can ask for donations for an overhead fee for conferences, this is not wrong

CHRISTIANS spend more for their kufr than the Muslims spend for their haqq

And put your trust (O Muhammad SAW) in the Ever Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the All-Knower of the sins of His slaves; (Al-Furqan 25:58)

ALLAH 'tala is the ever-living but the Barelvis want to differ with us
- saying Muhammad (SAW) is alive in his grave
- their aqeedah that Allah is not the al-Hayy is wrong

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said, "On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam)." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith #585]

- use that hadeeth with the Barelvis as a knock-out punch
- the Prophet is NOT al-hayy (only Allah 'tala can claim that name)

Verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) will die and verily, they (too) will die. (Az-Zumar 39:30)

Narrated By 'Aisha: Abu Bakr came from his house at As-Sunh on a horse. He dismounted and entered the Mosque, but did not speak to the people till he entered upon 'Aisha and went straight to Allah's Apostle who was covered with Hibra cloth (i.e. a kind of Yemenite cloth). He then uncovered the Prophet's face and bowed over him and kissed him and wept, saying, "Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you. By Allah, Allah will never cause you to die twice. As for the death which was written for you, has come upon you." Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Abu Bakr went out while Umar bin Al-Khattab was talking to the people. Abu Bakr said, "Sit down, O 'Umar!" But 'Umar refused to sit down. So the people came to Abu Bakr and left Umar. Abu Bakr said, "To proceed, if anyone amongst you used to worship Muhammad, then Muhammad is dead, but if (anyone of) you used to worship Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die. Allah said: "Muhammad is no more than an Apostle, and indeed (many) apostles have passed away before him...(till the end of the Verse)... Allah will reward to those who are thankful." (3.144) By Allah, it was as if the people never knew that Allah had revealed this Verse before till Abu Bakr recited it and all the people received it from him, and I heard everybody reciting it (then). [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 5, Book 59, Hadith #733]

ABU BAKR said MUHAMMAD (SAW) is dead and Allah 'tala is alive
- when the Barelvis say Muhammad is al-hayy, they went against the Holy Qur'an

Everyone shall taste death...(Aali Imran 3:185)

- to give Muhammad the name "al-hayy" is SHIRK

Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! (As-Saffat 37:180)
And peace be on the Messengers! (As-Saffat 37:181)

And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (As-Saffat 37:182)

Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days. Then He Istawa (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). The Most Beneficent (Allah)! Ask Him (O Prophet Muhammad SAW), (concerning His Qualities, His rising over His Throne, His creations, etc.), as He is Al-Khabir (The All-Knower of everything i.e. Allah). (Al-Furqan 25:59)

Allah ascended over His Throne
- (completion of the earth, took place on Friday so we congregate on Friday: Salatul Jumm'ah)

Abu Haraira reported that Allah's Messenger (SAW) took hold of my hands and said: "Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and lie caused the animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (AS) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, i. e. between afternoon and night." [Sahih Muslim (4/2149) No. 2789]

Friday is our Eid
- we are not to fast that day unless we are fasting the fast of David (fast every other day)

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated: “I heard the Prophet (SAW) say, ‘None of you should fast on a Friday unless he fasts the day before or the day after.’” [al-Bukhari (1985) and Muslim (1144)]
Abu Huraira (RA) narrated the Prophet (SAW) said, “Do not single out the night (preceding) Friday (from among the nights) for prayer; and do not single out Friday (from among the days) for fasting, unless it occurs during a day of fasting, which one of you normally observes.” [Sahih Muslim (2/801) No. 1144]

Juwayriyah bint al-Harith (RA) narrated that the Prophet (SAW) entered upon her on a Friday when she was fasting. He asked her, “Did you fast yesterday?” She said, “No.” He asked, “Are you going to fast tomorrow?” She said, “No.” He said, “Then break your fast.” Hammad ibn al-Ja’d said, “I heard Qutadah say, Abu Ayyob told me that Juwayriyah spoke to him and he told her to stop her fast and she did so.” [Sahih Bukhari (3/42) No. 1986]

Ibn Qudaamah said: “It is makrooh to single out the day of Friday for fasting, unless that coincides with a fast which one usually observes, such as a person who fasts alternate days, and a day that he fasts coincides with Friday, or a person who has the habit of fasting on the first or last day of the month, or the middle day of the month.” (al-Mughni, vol. 3, p. 53)

Al-Nawawi said: “Our companions (i.e. the Shaafa’is) said: it is makrooh to single out the day of Friday for fasting, but if one joins it with the day before or the day after, or it coincides with a day which he habitually fasts, or he vowed to fast the day that his sick loved one was cured, or the day So and so returns, and that day happens to be a Friday, then it is not makrooh (al-Majmoo’ Sharh al-Muhadhdhab, vol. 6, p. 479)

- he was invited to over 100 masjids to do lectures or khutbahs
- the meals they prepared for him on Friday was like Eid Day

When asked, "Where is Allah?" we are to say, as Imam Malik- Allah 'tala rose over His Throne and we do not know how
- and we do not ask how because it is a bid'ah"

Ja'far Ibn Abdullah narrated: We were with Malik Ibn Anas when a man came to him and said: “O Abu Abdullah (Allah said) 'Ar-Rahman upon the Throne Istawa' (20:5), how was His Istiwa? Imam Malik inclined his head and was silent until the sweat of fever covered his brow, then he looked up and said: "Istiwa is not unknown, the Kayf (how) is uncomprehendable, believing in it is wajib (obligatory), and asking about it is bid'ah (innovation), and I do not think that you are anything but an innovator." Then he ordered that the man be expelled. [Abu-Naeem Al-Asbahani in 'Hilyatul-Awliya wa Tabaqat Al-Asfiya' (Vol. 6, pg. 325-326)]
HYPOCRISY IS CONTAGIOUS- people still doubt where Allah 'tala is, even though it is known by necessity
- how can we doubt it?
- it seeks to limit Allah 'tala when people ask these questions
- (where was he before He created His arsh?) - the answer is ALLAHU ALIM

Abu Haneefah (rh) said, when asked of his opinion of the one who says, ‘I do not know whether Allah is above the heavens or on the earth.’ - “He has disbelieved, because Allah says, “The Most Merciful rose above the Throne,” and His Throne is above His seven heavens.’ He was then asked , ‘what if he said that Allah is above His Throne but he does not know whether the Throne is in the heavens or on the earth?’ He said, ‘He has disbelieved, because He has denied that He is above the heavens, And whosoever denied that He is above the heavens has disbelieved.” (‘Sharh Usul I'tiqaad Ahlus Sunnah’ of al-Laalikaaee (d.414AH), ‘al-Uluww’ of adh- Dhahabee, also ‘Sharh Aqueedah at-Tahaawiyyah’ of ibn Abee al-Izz al-Hanafee)
Abu Hanifa made takfir on these type of people (who ask these type of questions)- he surely called them a kaafir

Zainab used to boast before the wives of the Prophet and used to say, "You were given in marriage by your families, while I was married (to the Prophet) by Allah from over seven Heavens." And Thabit recited, "The Verse: 'But (O Muhammad) you did hide in your heart that which Allah was about to make manifest, you did fear the people,' (33.37) was revealed in connection with Zainab and Zaid bin Haritha." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 93, Hadith 516]

Anas (RA) says, “I went into the presence of Aishah (RA) whilst someone else was seated with her. The person asked, ‘O Mother of the believers, relate to us regarding earthquakes (as to their cause)’ She turned her face away. I (Anas) asked her, ‘Relate to us regarding earthquakes, O Mother of the believers!’ She said, “O Anas, if I were to inform you thereof, you will live a sorrowful life and you will die in this state of grief and you will be raised on the Day of Judgement whilst this fear is in your heart.” I said, “O Mother, relate to me.” She then said, “When a woman removes her clothes in a house other than her husbands (an indication towards adultery), she tears the veil between her and Allah. When she applies perfume to please a male other than her husband, this will be a source of fire and a blemish for her. When the people then begin to commit adultery, consume alcohol and use musical instruments, Allah becomes enraged above the heavens and orders the Earth to shake them. If they repent and refrain, then it is good for them, otherwise Allah will cause it to fall upon them.” I asked, “Is this their punishment?” She said, “It is rather a mercy, means of blessings and admonishment for the believers, and a punishment, display of anger and torment for the unbelievers.” [Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/561) No. 8575 and Kitab Al-Fitan (2/619) No. 1729]

- Allah 'tala gets enraged from "OVER THE HEAVENS" (as affirmed by Aisha and Zaynab)
- Mu'waiya Ibn Hakim slapped a slave girl in the face and the Rasool said:

it is narrated that the companion Mu`awiyah ibn al-Hakam, (RA) slapped his servant girl who used to tend his sheep, and as a result went to the Prophet (SAWS) and asked what should be done as an atonement for having slapped her. The Prophet replied, "Bring her to me" so Mu`awiyah brought her to the Prophet. The Prophet then asked her, "Where is Allah?" and she replied "Above the Sky" then the Prophet asked her, "Who am I?" and she replied, "You are Allah’s Messenger", so the Prophet said, "Free her, for verily she is a true believer." [Sahih Muslim (1/381) No. 537]

The notion of "Allah is everywhere" is so they can try to create union- the Soofis try to practice wahdatul wujood and the Tablighi Jamm'at also try to believe this

Aisha narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Those who give respect to a bid'ati (innovator in Religion) surely will be counted as a helper of destroying Islam." [al-Tabarani in 'al-Mu’jam al-Awsat' (7/35) No. 6772 and al-Bayhaqi in 'Shu'ab al-Emaan' (12/57) No. 9018]

- Ibn Arabi was one of the worst kaafirs to walk earth
- the greatest fiqh is AQEEDAH
- we have a bid'ah in regards to takfeer
- i.e. ‘you are not a kaafir unless you make it haraam, halal (istihaal)’
- we have a bid'ah in regards to fiqh, such as adding to the athaan, the Shiites add to it
- we have bid'ah in regards to manhaj i.e. calling to Shariah in darul harb is a bid'ah
- we cannot ask a Frenchman to believe in Shariah when he does not believe in Allah 'tala

Narrated By Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet sent Muadh to Yemen, he said to him, "You are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tauhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of their properties and it is to be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the best property of the people." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 93, Hadith #469]

And when it is said to them: "Prostrate to the Most Beneficent (Allah)! They say: "And what is the Most Beneficent? Shall we fall down in prostration to that which you (O Muhammad SAW) command us?" And it increases in them only aversion. (Al-Furqan 25:60)

Checkmate the kaafirs of Quraysh
- by saying you told the Prophet to scratch out the name ar-Rahman

"...Suhail said to the Prophet "Please conclude a peace treaty with us." So, the Prophet called the clerk and said to him, "Write: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ 'Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Raheem' (In the Name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful)." Suhail said, "As for الرَّحْمَنِ 'ar-Rahman (Beneficent), by Allah, I do not know what it means. So write: بِاسْمِكَ اللهُمَّ 'Bismika Allahumma' (By Your Name O Allah)..." [al-Bukhari (2731) and Muslim (1784)]
- but if they worship only Allah 'tala, but they also worship Lut, Uzza, Hubal
- kuffaar are hypocritical
- we know instinctively tawheed

And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him only, but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others. (Al-'Ankabut 29:65)
- when they were drowning, they called on Allah and Allah alone
- every kaafir recognizes tawheed

So set you (O Muhammad SAW) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism Hanifa (worship none but Allah Alone) Allah's Fitrah (i.e. Allah's Islamic Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalqillah (i.e. the Religion of Allah Islamic Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most of men know not. [Tafsir AtTabari, Vol 21, Page 41] (Ar-Rum 30:30)
Say: "He is the Most Beneficent (Allah), in Him we believe, and in Him we put our trust. So you will come to know who is it that is in manifest error." (Al-Mulk 67:29)

It is haraam to call a man 'Rahman' (its SHIRK) but we can say 'Raheem'

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Beneficent (Allah), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names. And offer your Salat (prayer) neither aloud nor in a low voice, but follow a way between. (Al-Isra 17:110)

'Abdur-Rahmaan Ibn Muhammad Ibn Habeeb Ibn Abee Habeeb on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather [who] said:I witnessed Khaalid Ibn 'Abdullah Al-Qasree - and he addressed them at Waasit - "Oh People, make sacrifice, may Allah accept it from you. Verily I am sacrificing Al-Ja'd Ibn Dirham, for indeed he claims that Allah did not take Ibrahim as a khaleel (close friend), and [that] He did not speak to Moosa. Most Perfect is He and exalted is He from what Al-Ja'd says." Then he descended and slaughtered him. I say: And the Jahmiyyah and Mu'tazilah speak with this, and they distort the text of the revelation regarding that, and they claim that the Lord is purified of that [i.e. having spoken to Moses and taken Ibrahim as a khalil] Mukhtasar al-Uluww" of adh-Dhahabi, (p.133).

In history, people go astray to Allah's 99 names and attributes- Allah is not THE REPENTER (as Christians say) - He is not the RESTER or the BEGETTER

Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!" We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)." (Aali Imran 3:181)
(Verily Allah heard the saying of those who said…) [3:181]. ‘Ikrimah, al-Suddi and Muqatil ibn Ishaq related that, one day, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq entered a Jewish place of study and found a group of Jewish people gathered around one of them called Finhas ibn ‘Azura, who was one of their doctors. Abu Bakr said to Finhas: “Fear Allah and embrace Islam, for by Allah you know well that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah who has brought the truth to you from Allah. He is mentioned in your Torah; so believe and accept the truth and grant Allah a goodly offering and He will make you enter the Garden and multiply your reward”. Finhas responded: “O Abu Bakr, you claim that our Lord is asking us to lend Him our wealth. Yet, it is only the poor who borrow from the rich. And if what you say is true, it follows that Allah is poor and we are rich, for if He were rich He would not ask us to lend Him our wealth”. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may Allah be well pleased with him, became very angry and struck the face of Finhas with a mighty blow. He then said to him: “By Him in whose Hand is my soul, if it were not for the treaty between us, O enemy of Allah, I would have killed you”. Finhas went to the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, and said: “O Muhammad! Look at what your companion has done to me”. The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace, asked Abu Bakr: “What has driven you to do what you have done?” He said: “O Messenger of Allah, this enemy of Allah has said something very serious. He claimed that Allah is poor and they are rich. I therefore got angry for the sake of Allah and hit his face”. But Finhas denied that he ever uttered those words, and so Allah, exalted is He, revealed this verse (Verily Allah heard the saying of those who said…) to give the lie to Finhas and to confirm that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq said the truth. ‘Abd al-Qahir ibn Tahir informed us> Abu ‘Amr ibn Matar> Ja‘far ibn al-Layth al-Ziyadi> Hudhayfah Musa ibn Mas‘ud> Shibl> Ibn Abi Najih> Mujahid who said: “This verse was revealed about the Jews; Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, had struck the face of one of their men who said ‘Allah is poor and we are rich’ ”. Shibl commented: “I was informed that this man was Finhas the Jew, and it is also this man who said: (Allah’s hand is fettered) [5:64]”. [Asbab Al-Nuzul by Al-Wahidi , trans. Mokrane Guezzou]

- that ayah came down to solve the dilemma of the lying Jew
- yet another reason for the Qur'an to be revealed in stages

...Usama bin Zaid told Allah's Apostle of what he knew about the innocence of his wife and of his affection he kept for her. He said, "O Allah's Apostle! She is your wife, and we do not know anything about her except good." But 'Ali bin Abi Talib said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allah does not impose restrictions on you; and there are plenty of women other than her. If you however, ask (her) slave girl, she will tell you the truth."... [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 6, Book 60, Hadith #274]

Verily! Those who brought forth the slander (against 'Aishah the wife of the Prophet SAW) are a group among you. Consider it not a bad thing for you. Nay, it is good for you. Unto every man among them will be paid that which he had earned of the sin, and as for him among them who had the greater share therein, his will be a great torment. (An-Nur 24:11)

KAAFIRS always poke their nose into affairs that do not concern him- all hadeeths of Aisha (RA) say she was happy in her marriage
- so why do kaafirs care about her?

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا

Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light. (Al-Furqan 25:61)

Qutadah said: [And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps... (Al-Mulk 67:5)] Allah created these stars for three purposes, i.e. as decoration of the sky, as missiles to hit the devils, and as signs to guide travellers. So, if anybody tries to find a different interpretation, he is mistaken and just wastes his efforts in seeking something of which he has no knowledge." [Sahih Bukhari, Baab fi’l-Nujoom (4/107)]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا

And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude. (Al-Furqan 25:62)

Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. (Aali Imran 3:190)

Those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. (Aali Imran 3:191)

And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. (Al-Furqan 25:63)

And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster. (Luqman 31:18)

It Is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Apostle of Allah (SAW), observed: He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of pride shall not enter Paradise. A person (amongst his hearers) said: Verily a person loves that his dress should be fine, and his shoes should be fine. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: Verily, Allah is Graceful and He loves Grace. Pride is disdaining the truth (out of self-conceit) and contempt for the people. [Sahih Muslim (1/93) No. 91]

وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا

And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. (Al-Furqan 25:64)

'Aishah (RA) said: The Prophet (SAW) would stand (in prayer) so long that the skin of his feet would crack. I asked him, "Why do you do this while your past and future sins have been forgiven?" He said, "Should I not be a grateful slave of Allah?" [al-Bukhari (4837) and Muslim (2820)]
