O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allāh), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner. (Al-Ahzab 33:32)

Usama Ibn Zayd (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “I have not left behind me any fitnah (temptation) more harmful to men than women.” [Reported by al-Bukhaari (5096) and Muslim (2740)]

The voice of a woman becomes fitnaa when her voice is beautified
- we cannot say her phone is awrah
- otherwise she would not even be able to answer her home phone
- we are not going too extreme with this
- Ayah 32 tells us that some men desire adultery (seduce married women)
- women in the west wear a wedding ring to chase away indecent proposals
- some men have a disease in their heart - a liking for adultery
- they like this because they know the woman cannot seduce them to marry them
- (because the man is already married)!!
- she also has to SHHHSH (keep quiet)
- because she is already married and she cannot tell anyone about her affair
- men find this attractive
- same as they are eager to see what's under some sisters niqaab
- some find a wedding ring attractive because it is a turn on
- even lesbians - men find them attractive
- because they like the challenge to seduce them
- or a priest or man of God
- the married woman is appealing also because the one doing adultery with her
- does not have to take care of her financially

- Shariah law is to kill the adulterer
- we kill paedophiles, too, only under Shariah law in Islamic countries
- we hear some homosexuals make taubah
- men who like to sleep with married women
- they seduce their own neighbour’s wives
- they seduce their own brother's wives
- it is not an easy addiction to give up

The FEET of a woman can turn on a man, as well
- this is called a foot fetish
- different men have different fetishes
- Hanbali madhab says to cover her feet with socks (because men have fetishes)

Madinah was full of hypocrites
- Abdullah Ibn Ubayy was the leader of the hypocrites
- this ayah tells us that it is POSSIBLE for the wife of a Prophet to commit adultery
- look at the slander of Aisha (RA) who was accused of adultery
- Umm Mistah said the people are saying you had an affair and Aisha (RA) fainted
- the Rasool (SAW) asked 2 Sahabahs for their advice on what to do in this situation

...Usama bin Zaid told Allah's Apostle of what he knew about the innocence of his wife and of his affection he kept for her. He said, "O Allah's Apostle! She is your wife, and we do not know anything about her except good." But 'Ali bin Abi Talib said, "O Allah's Apostle! Allah does not impose restrictions on you; and there are plenty of women other than her. If you however, ask (her) slave girl, she will tell you the truth."...[Sahih Bukhari, Vol 6, Book 60, Hadith #274]

- one said this will pass and Ali said 'you can do better'
- we should not follow everything scholars say
- we must be very discerning as to what we follow
- such as why Aisha fought with Ali and carried a grudge against him
- because some scholars write these type of things in their history books
- but we are not allowed to believe this
- none of the Prophet's wives committed adultery
- see 24:11 ALLAH SAID
- IFK - is a big lie (a slander)

Verily! Those who brought forth the slander (against 'Aishah the wife of the Prophet SAW) are a group among you. Consider it not a bad thing for you. Nay, it is good for you. Unto every man among them will be paid that which he had earned of the sin, and as for him among them who had the greater share therein, his will be a great torment. (An-Nur 24:11)

SHIA HUJJAH: The Shia believe that at the time of Mahdi’s return Imam Mahdi will resurrect Aisha (Prophet Mohammad’s wife) and execute the law of Hudud on her, for committing Zina (adultery) during her marriage. (Al-Anwar Al-Numaniyah, vol. 1, p. 161, Tafsir al-Shafi, vol. 2, p. 108, Haq al-Yaqeen, vol. 2, p. 256, Hayat al-Qulub, vol. 2, p. 611)

And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salāt (IqamātasSalāt), and give Zakāt and obey Allāh and His Messenger. Allāh wishes only to remove ArRijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet SAW), and to purify you with a thorough purification. (Al-Ahzab 33:33)

Tabarruj - if a sister leaves her home with hijab but exposes ears/neck
- the sin is on the father of the home or the husband for allowing this

Abdullah ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Three people will not enter paradise and Allah will not look to them on the Day of Judgment: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the woman who imitates men and the ad-Dayooth..." [Musnad Ahmad (2/134) No. 6180, Musnad al-Bazzar (12/270) No. 6051, al-Sunnan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (2/63) No. 2354, al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (3/51) No. 2443]

- if your daughter has a boyfriend and you tolerate it, you are classified as a dayouth
- dayouth - a man who is not jealous, you cannot go to Jannat as a dayouth

Shaikh went to CENTRAL MOSQUE in London
- he never saw so much tabarruj in his life! it was like a fashion show 'catwalk'
- fathers and brothers brought their women and had no concerns
- that these women were tabarruj
- any display of physical beauty (dress, perfume, alluring walks, pretty voices)
- all scholars agree on tabarruj being to do it for the sake of causing fitnaa

This ayah tells us that the women of jahiliyyah used to practice tabarruj
- these women buy blouses that are low-cut (exposing parts of their breasts)
- they will dress like this at work, but a woman of taqwah NEVER indulges in this
- the women in jahiliyya also wear short shirts, above their knees
- and panties that are partially open

Usama Ibn Zayd (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “I have not left behind me any fitnah (temptation) more harmful to men than women.” [Reported by al-Bukhari (5096) and Muslim (2740)]

- women are fitnaa for each other (they expose each other's secrets)
- we are to expect women in jahiliyya to do this because this ayah says they did
- jewellery that makes noise and wearing see-through clothes
- or tight clothes etc examples of tabarruj
- many brothers do not let their wives work
- because they are concerned about tabarruj
- these ayahs are not commanding only the wives of the Prophet (SAW)
- but for all the Muslimahs of the world
- Muslimahs are only allowed to leave their homes out of necessity
- some men say this ayah 33 is hujjah
- that their wives cannot leave home to go to work

- yes, if there is no fitnaa at her workplace
- no, if there is fitnaa in their workplace
- North Africa: Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco
- some women run from these places to get jobs where there is a lot of fitnaa there
- they want to earn money to send back home to feed their families back home
- (in the name of poverty)
- if the job puts her in danger, then the job is haraam

- Approx 80% of women who work outside of their homes have affairs
- they do not have to travel because the man is right there at work
- (shoulder to shoulder)
- the job environment facilitates the zina
- so Allah said in ayah 33, STAY IN YOUR HOMES
- but Muslimahs can leave the home to buy food, go to the masjid etc

'Amra, daughter of Abd al-Rahmin, reported: I heard 'Aisha, the wife of the Apostle of Allah (SAW), say: "If the Messenger of Allah (SAW) had seen what new things the women have introduced (in their way of life) he would have definitely prevented them from going to the mosque, as the women of Bani Isra'il were prevented." [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith #0895]

Ibn Umar narrated: "One of Umar's wives used to pray fajr and `isha' in congregation in the mosque. She was asked, `Why do you go out (to the mosque) when you know that `Umar dislikes this and is a jealous man?' She said, `What is stopping him from forbidding me (to do so)?' He said, `The words of the Messenger of Allah (SAW): 'Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from attending the mosques of Allah.'" [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (2/156) No. 7608 and al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Bayhaqi (3/189) No. 5370]

Narrated By Salim bin 'Abdullah: My father said, "The Prophet said, 'If the wife of any one of you asks permission (to go to the mosque) do not forbid her." [al-Bukhari (5238) and Muslim (442)]

- after Fajr, Shaikh taught halaqas
- the women were told to stay in their homes and not leave
- adultery becomes rife because of the labor-force (so give the jobs to the men)
- women should stay in their homes and look after their kids
- but in western countries, it is easier for a woman to get a job instead of the men

- 90% of the women travelling to work were women (black women)
- the black man in America is an endangered species
- giving jobs to women destroys the family structure
- when a woman belongs to jahiliyya, she does not belong to Islam

Ayah 33 tells us that the wives of the Prophet belong to his household
- (Shia do not believe this)
- Shi’ites say only Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussein are from the prophets household
- one day, Muhammad put these 4 under a black cloak
- and prayed for them to be blessed
- this does not mean the rest of his wives were not of his household
- because he told Umm Salima, "yes, you, too"

Umm Salamah (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) put a cloak over Hasan, Husayn, Ali and Fatimah and prayed, “O Allah, they are people of my house and closest to me. Remove from them evil and purify them a perfect purification.” Umm Salamah (RA) submitted, “Am I too with them, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Indeed you are on what is good.” [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/699) No. 3871 and Musnad Ahmad (6/304) No. 26639]

- but Shi’ites beg to differ

'A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) went out one morning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came Hasan b. 'Ali. He wrapped him under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came 'Ali and he also took him under it and then said: [Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying) (Al-Ahzab 33:33)] [Sahih Muslim (4/1883) No. 2424] *daeef/weak hadith* a man in the chain is daeef - Mus’ab bin Shaiba

Explanation of ahadith Kisa:

- not every hadeeth in MUSLIM is Sahih (Shaikh Faisal says this)
- we need a scholar to tell us which are sahih or daeef

- Abu Sufiyan (he was going to give his daughter to the Rasool SAW in marriage)
- that hadeeth is also daeef

Ibn Abbas reported that the Muslims neither looked to Abu Sufyan (with respect) nor did they sit in his company; he (Abu Sufyan) said to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him): Allah's Apostle, confer upon me three things. He replied in the affirmative. He (further) said: I have with me the most handsome and the best (woman) Umm Habiba, daughter of Abu Sufyan; marry her, whereupon he said: Yes. And he again said: Accept Mu'awiya to serve as your scribe. He said: Yes. He again said: Make me the commander (of the Muslim army) so that I should fight against the unbelievers as I fought against the Muslims. He said: Yes. Abu Zumnail said: If he had not asked for these three things from Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), he would have never conferred them upon him, for it was (his habit) to accede to everybody's (earnest) request. [Sahih Muslim, Book 31, Hadith #6095]

Explanation of ahadith on Abu Sufyan and leader whips your back:

- Shi’ites do not accept many ayahs in the Qur'an (ayah 33 is one of them)
- see 3:121 ALLAH SAID:

And (remember) when you (Muhammad SAW) left your household in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle (of Uhud). And Allāh is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Aali Imran 3:121)

AYAH 33 tells us that Allah 'tala declared all the wives of the Rasool (SAW)
- belong to his household (Ahlul Bayt)
- yet Shiites always try to veto Allah 'tala

And remember (O you the members of the Prophet's family, the Graces of your Lord), that which is recited in your houses of the Verses of Allāh and AlHikmah (i.e. Prophet's Sunnah legal ways, etc. so give your thanks to Allāh and glorify His Praises for this Qur'an and the Sunnah). Verily, Allāh is Ever Most Courteous, WellAcquainted with all things. (Al-Ahzab 33:34)

Revelation came down to the Prophet (SAW)
- so why when he was in the bed of Aisha (RA) and not his other wives?
- Answer: She was the only virgin that he married
- no other man slept in her bed before or after him

...the Prophet said, "O Um Salama! Don't trouble me by harming `Aisha, for by Allah, the Divine Inspiration never came to me while I was under the blanket of any woman amongst you except her." [Sahih Bukhari (5/30) No. 3775]

Narrated `Urwa from `Aisha: The wives of Allah's Apostle were in two groups. One group consisted of `Aisha, Hafsa, Safiyya and Sauda; and the other group consisted of Um Salama and the other wives of Allah's Apostle. The Muslims knew that Allah's Apostle loved `Aisha, so if any of them had a gift and wished to give to Allah's Apostle, he would delay it, till Allah's Apostle had come to `Aisha's home and then he would send his gift to Allah's Apostle in her home. The group of Um Salama discussed the matter together and decided that Um Salama should request Allah's Apostle to tell the people to send their gifts to him in whatever wife's house he was. Um Salama told Allah's Apostle of what they had said, but he did not reply. Then they (those wives) asked Um Salama about it. She said, "He did not say anything to me." They asked her to talk to him again. She talked to him again when she met him on her day, but he gave no reply. When they asked her, she replied that he had given no reply. They said to her, "Talk to him till he gives you a reply." When it was her turn, she talked to him again. He then said to her, "Do not hurt me regarding Aisha, as the Divine Inspirations do not come to me on any of the beds except that of Aisha." On that Um Salama said, "I repent to Allah for hurting you." Then the group of Um Salama called Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Apostle and sent her to Allah's Apostle to say to him, "Your wives request to treat them and the daughter of Abu Bakr on equal terms." Then Fatima conveyed the message to him. The Prophet said, "O my daughter! Don't you love whom I love?" She replied in the affirmative and returned and told them of the situation. They requested her to go to him again but she refused. They then sent Zainab bint Jahsh who went to him and used harsh words saying, "Your wives request you to treat them and the daughter of Ibn Abu Quhafa on equal terms." On that she raised her voice and abused `Aisha to her face so much so that Allah's Apostle looked at `Aisha to see whether she would retort. `Aisha started replying to Zainab till she silenced her. The Prophet then looked at `Aisha and said, "She is really the daughter of Abu Bakr." [Sahih Bukhari (3/156-157) No. 2581]

Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allāh in Islām) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islāmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allāh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allāh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allāh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord Allāh), the men and the women who give Sadaqāt (i.e. Zakāt, and alms, etc.), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadān, and the optional Nawāfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allāh much with their hearts and tongues (while sitting, standing, lying, etc. for more than 300 times extra over the remembrance of Allāh during the five compulsory congregational prayers) or praying extra additional Nawāfil prayers of night in the last part of night, etc.) Allāh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). (Al-Ahzab 33:35)

If a Muslim woman prays five times a day, fasts in Ramadan and pays her zakat
- then you should not make takfir on her, your common sense should tell you
- that there is a difference between a Muslim and Mu'min
- a Muslim prays, fasts, make jihad etc but has a weakness; e.g. zina or alcohol
- but the Mu'min has no major weakness

The bedouins say: "We believe." Say: "You believe not but you only say, 'We have surrendered (in Islām),' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allāh and His Messenger (SAW), He will not decrease anything in reward for your deeds. Verily, Allāh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Al-Hujurat 49:14)

Allah made a distinction between the Muslim and the Mu'min in Surah 49:14
- the bedouins took Shahadah and came to the rasul (SAW)
- and asked him to feed them because they are Mu'min
- but Allah said they are only Muslims, a Mu'min is higher than a Muslim
- but a Muhsin is higher than Mu'min
- Muslim - Mu'min - Muhsin
- Muhsin - abstains from even the makrooh

Narrated By Sa'd: Allah's Apostle distributed (Zakat) amongst (a group of) people while I was sitting there but Allah's Apostle left a man whom I thought the best of the lot. I asked, "O Allah's Apostle! Why have you left that person? By Allah I regard him as a Mu'min (faithful believer)." The Prophet commented: "Or merely a Muslim." I remained quiet for a while, but could not help repeating my question because of what I knew about him. And then asked Allah's Apostle, "Why have you left so and so? By Allah! He is a faithful believer." The Prophet again said, "Or merely a Muslim." And I could not help repeating my question because of what I knew about him. Then the Prophet said, "O Sa'd! I give to a person while another is dearer to me, for fear that he might be thrown on his face in the Fire by Allah." [al-Bukhari (27) and Muslim (150)]

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "An adulterer, at the time he is committing illegal sexual intercourse is not a believer; and a person, at the time of drinking an alcoholic drink is not a believer; and a thief, at the time of stealing, is not a believer." Ibn Shihab said: `Abdul Malik bin Abi Bakr bin `Abdur-Rahman bin Al- Harith bin Hisham told me that Abu Bakr used to narrate that narration to him on the authority of Abu Huraira. He used to add that Abu Bakr used to mention, besides the above cases, "And he who robs (takes illegally something by force) while the people are looking at him, is not a believer at the time he is robbing (taking). [al-Bukhari (5578) and Muslim (57)]

The angel asked what is Islam and what is Eeeman?

Umar (RA) ibn al-Khattab (RA) said that they were with Allah’s Messenger (SAW) when a man came wearing extremely white clothing and deep black hair but signs of a journey could not be detected on him nor could they recognise him as one of them. He came to the Prophet (SAW) and sat down beside him, his knees touching the Prophet’s (SAW). He asked “O Muhammad, what is faith”? He said, “It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers (peace be upon them all), in the Last Day and in Predestination of good and evil.” He asked, “And what is Islam?” He said, ‘It is. to testify that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger (SAW) to establish the Salah, to pay the Zakah, to perform pilgrimage of the House and to fast in Ramadan.’ He asked, “And what is Ihsan”? He said, It is that you worship Allah as though you see Him, for it you cannot see Him, He sees you.” The visitor remarked, “In everything that you have spoken, you spoke truth.” Umar (RA) said that they were surprised at his questioning him and then confirming that he spoke the truth.[Bukhari 47, Muslim 4, Tirmidhi 2619, Abu Dawud 4695, Nisai 5005, Ibn Majah 63, Ahmed 184]
Why did Allah ta'ala reveal Ayah 35?
- as a result of the complaint of Umm Salama that women not mentioned in Qur'an

Umm Salamah (RA) the wife of the Prophet said, "I said to the Prophet, 'Why is it that we we are not mentioned in the Qur'an as men are?' Then one day without my realizing it, he was calling from the Minbar and I was combing my hair, so I tied my hair back then I went out to my chamber in my house, and I started listening out, and he was saying from the Minbar: O you who believe, indeed Allah says in His Book: (Verily, the Muslims: men and women, the believers: men and women...) to the end of the Ayah.'' [Musnad Ahmad (6/305) No. 26645, al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (10/219) No. 11340]
- see 30:26

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him. (Ar-Rum 30:26)

O you who believe! Be afraid of Allāh, and be with those who are true (in words and deeds). (At-Tawbah 9:119)

We are discussing the MUSLIM, MU'MIM, MUHSIN, and SADIQEEN

- SABRIEEN (those who are full of patience) who enter Paradise
- see 2:45

And seek help in patience and As-Salāt (the prayer)... (Al-Baqarah 2:45)

- Patience is something which is difficult, but we do it anyway
- (such as waking up for Fajr) or abstaining from something that is haraam
- if we give up something fesabilillah, Allah ta'ala will replace it with something better

Narrated by Abu Qatadah and Abu Ad-Dahma' who said: We came to a man from the people of the desert and asked him: Did you hear a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (SAW)? He said: I heard him saying: "Whosoever leaves something for the sake of Allah, then Allah the Mighty and Magnificent, will replace it with something better than it." [Musnad Ahmad, Vol. 5, pg.363, No. 23124]

And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) (Al-Mu'minun 23:5)

Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; (Al-Mu'minun 23:6)

But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; (Al-Mu'minun 23:7)

- Allah spoke about private parts in many parts of the Quran
- men have weakness for private parts, but women have weakness for their tongue
- these two will be cause of many entering hellfire

Narrated By Sahl bin Sa'd: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him." [Sahih Bukhari (8/100) No. 6474]

If a man wakes up for tahajjud and wakes up his wife

- they are taken as dhaakireen

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "May Allah show mercy to a man who gets up during the night and prays, who wakes his wife and she prays; if she refuses, he sprinkles water on her face. May Allah show mercy to a woman who gets up during the night and prays, who wakes her husband and he prays; if he refuses she sprinkles water on his face." [Musnad Ahmad (2/436) No. 9625, Sunan Abu Dawud (2/70) No. 1450, Sunan An-Nasa'i (3/205) No. 1610, Sunan Ibn Majah (2/361) No. 1336]

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, “The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for dhikr (the remembrance of Allah) that which pleases Allah; and the religious scholars and seekers of knowledge.'' [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/561) 2322 and Sunan Ibn Majah (5/231) 4112, (Abu Eesa al-Tirmidhi said: this hadeeth is hasan ghareeb)]

- those who turn away from Allah are given a shaitan as a companion (43:36)

And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allāh) (i.e. this Qur'ān and worship of Allāh), We appoint for him Shaitān (Satan devil) to be a Qarīn (an intimate companion) to him. (Az-Zukhruf 43:36)

- in surah 29:45 Allah said:

…and perform As-Salāt (IqamātasSalāt). Verily, As-Salāt (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahshā' (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed, etc.) and the remembering (praising, etc.) of (you by) Allāh (in front of the angels) is greater indeed [than your remembering (praising, etc.) Allāh in prayers, etc.]. And Allāh knows what you do. (Al-'Ankabut 29:45)

- we should perform salah and remember Allah a lot
