O Children of Israel! We delivered you from your enemy, and We made a covenant with you on the right side of the Mount, and We sent down to you Al-Manna and quails, (Ta-Ha 20:80)

Deliver you from your enemy means from the pharaoh
- Allah made them escape by night
- and when Fir’aun found out in the morning he was mortified
- but he could not get to them because Allah drowned him

Ibn Abbas said, "When the Messenger of Allah came to Al-Madinah, he found the Jews fasting the day of `Ashura'. Therefore he asked them about it and they said, `This is the day that Allah gave Musa victory over Fir`awn.' Then, the Prophet said, 'We have more right to Musa (than them), so fast it.'" [al-Bukhari (3943) and Muslim (1130)]

When the prophet (SAW) went to Madina, he found the Jews fasting the 10th of Muharram
- and when he asked them why they said,
- because it was the day the Jews were delivered from Fir’aun
- so the prophet (SAW) made it a Sunnah for Muslims to fat this day
- and fasting it is Sunnah mu'akadah

We fast Muharram but not Shabi Baraat
- this is the fast of the Soofis
- and all the hadith about the 15th of shabaan are weak and fabricated
- and for you to fast this day means you are jaahil

Allah said we made a covenant with you on the right side of the mountain
- this mountain is Mount Sanai in Egypt
- and the covenant is to worship Allah Alone and to follow their prophet

Allah said anzalnaa which means We revealed it all at once
- nazzalnaa means revealed continuously, in piecemeal
- so manna and quail were revealed continuously
- and so Allah used the word nazzalnaa

Manna means sweet gum
- quail means a certain type of bird
- so this was their food

When they were in the desert Allah gave them shade
- He also gave them 12 streams of water when they were thirsty
- for the 12 tribes of Israel
- and the word Israel means the servant of God

Another miracle they had was when a boy proposed to a girl and he got rejected
- he did not like this so he planned to kill his uncle who rejected him
- and by doing so he will:

And (remember) when Mûsa (Moses) said to his people: "Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow." They said, "Do you make fun of us?" He said, "I take Allah’s Refuge from being among Al-Jāhilûn (the ignorants or the foolish)." (Al-Baqarah 2:67)

They did not know who the murderer was so Allah asked them to kill a cow
- but they were not intellectually convinced
- this is because Jews are rationalist

Musa (AS) sought refuge from the ignorant ones
- and nobody respects an ignoramus
- the Jews said;

They said, "Call upon your Lord for us that He may make plain to us what it is!" He said, "He says, 'Verily, it is a cow neither too old nor too young, but (it is) between the two conditions', so do what you are commanded." (Al-Baqarah 2:68)

They said, "Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us its colour." He said, "He says, 'It is a yellow cow, bright in its colour, pleasing to the beholders.'" (Al-Baqarah 2:69)

They said, "Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us what it is. Verily to us all cows are alike, And surely, if Allah wills, we will be guided." (Al-Baqarah 2:70)

He [Mûsa (Moses)] said, "He says, 'It is a cow neither trained to till the soil nor water the fields, sound, having no other colour except bright yellow.'" They said, "Now you have brought the truth." So they slaughtered it though they were near to not doing it. (Al-Baqarah 2:71)

They kept repeating the same question
- and this is very annoying
- but by asking more questions it became difficult for them to find the cow
- they found it with only one person
- who sold it to them with its equivalent's weight in gold

And (remember) when you killed a man and fell into dispute among yourselves as to the crime. But Allah brought forth that which you were hiding. (Al-Baqarah 2:72)

They were commanded by Allah to use a piece of the cow to strike the dead man
- and he got up in front of their own eyes

So We said: "Strike him (the dead man) with a piece of it (the cow)." Thus Allah brings the dead to life and shows you His Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) so that you may understand. (Al-Baqarah 2:73)

We hear and obey
- not look for the hikma first

Ali (RA) observed, "If the religion was based on opinion, the bottom of the sock would take preference in being wiped to the top of the sock." [Related by Abu Dawud (1/90) No. 162 and ad-Daraqutni (1/378) No. 783 with a hassan or sahih chain.]

- our deen is not based on opinion
- we are not Mu'tazilites
- we are believers and so we hear and obey

The dead man named his murderer
- Allah said;

And they (disbelievers) plotted [to kill 'Iesa (Jesus)], and Allah planned too. And Allah is the Best of the planners. (Aali Imran 3:54)

(Saying) eat of the Taiyibāt (good lawful things) wherewith We have provided you, and commit no oppression therein, lest My Anger should justly descend on you. And he on whom My Anger descends, he is indeed perished. (Ta-Ha 20:81)

- people end up in mad houses because they abstained from Allah's deen
- and so He made them live a miserable life

Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)! (Ash-Shams 91:14)

Anas (RA) says, “I went into the presence of Aishah (RA) whilst someone else was seated with her. The person asked, ‘O Mother of the believers, relate to us regarding earthquakes (as to their cause)’ She turned her face away. I (Anas) asked her, ‘Relate to us regarding earthquakes, O Mother of the believers!’ She said, “O Anas, if I were to inform you thereof, you will live a sorrowful life and you will die in this state of grief and you will be raised on the Day of Judgement whilst this fear is in your heart.” I said, “O Mother, relate to me.” She then said, “When a woman removes her clothes in a house other than her husbands (an indication towards adultery), she tears the veil between her and Allah. When she applies perfume to please a male other than her husband, this will be a source of fire and a blemish for her. When the people then begin to commit adultery, consume alcohol and use musical instruments, Allah becomes enraged above the heavens and orders the Earth to shake them. If they repent and refrain, then it is good for them, otherwise Allah will cause it to fall upon them.” I asked, “Is this their punishment?” She said, “It is rather a mercy, means of blessings and admonishment for the believers, and a punishment, display of anger and torment for the unbelievers.” [Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/561) No. 8575 and Kitab Al-Fitan (2/619) No. 1729]

- Allah's Anger is on them

"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur’an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection." (Ta-Ha 20:124)

- this is why they are suffering
- they live their lives on Prozac
- if you are practicing Islam properly Allah won’t be angry with you

And verily, I am indeed Forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them, (till his death). (Ta-Ha 20:82)

- so even though you might slip and go into jaahiliyyah
- don’t give up because the door of tawbah is open
- Allah said;

Say: "O 'Ibādī (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Az-Zumar 39:53)

- Allah meant ALL SINS
- 'EVEN SHIRK' so far as you did not die committing it
- the only time you are not forgiven is when you die committing shirk

You are not allowed to despair
- Yaqub a.s said;

...Certainly no one despairs of Allah’s Mercy, except the people who disbelieve." (Yusuf 12:87)

You can’t despair because in your heart is the kalimah of shahadah
- and Allah said in a hadith Qudsi;

On the authority of Anas (RA) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say, "Allah the Almighty has said: ‘O Son of Adam, as long as you invoke Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O Son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and you then asked forgiveness from Me, I would forgive you. O Son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the Earth, and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it [too].’" [Sunan Tirmidhi (5/548) No. 3540]

- only a Khawaarij despairs and the kaafiroon

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger having said: “By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.” [Sahih Muslim (4/2106) No. 2749]

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (SAW) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: "My mercy prevails over My wrath." [al-Bukhari (7553), Muslim (2751), Tirmidhi (3543), Ahmad (7297)]

- that idiot Salman Rushdie insulted Islam with his book
- some scholars in the UK said he made his tawbah so it should be accepted
- but this was fake because he was still selling his book
- there are pillars for everything in Islam'
- qadr, marriage etc. they all have pillars
- if any pillar of marriage is missing then the marriage will fail

On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Musood the Prophet (SAW) said: “Regret is repentance.” [Musnad Ahmad (1/376) No. 3568 and Sunan Ibn Majah (5/322) No. 4252]

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Whoever has wronged his brother with regard to his honour or something, let him ask him for forgiveness before the time when there will be neither dinar nor dirham, and if he has any good deeds it will be taken from him in proportion to the wrong he did, and if he does not have any good deeds (hasanaat), some of the other person's evil deeds (sayi’aat) will be taken and given to him to bear.” [Sahih Bukhari (3/129) No. 2449]

- the best time to do so is during the last part of the night

On the authority of Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq (RA) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say: “There is no one who commits a sin then purifies himself well and stands and prays two rak’ahs, then asks Allah for forgiveness, but Allah will forgive him. Then he recited this verse: ‘And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; (and none can forgive sins but Allah) and do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know’ [Aal ‘Imraan 3:135].” [Sunan Abu Dawud (2/86) No. 1521]

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), who said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: 'Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?'" [al-Bukhari (7494) (also by Muslim (758), Malik (619), at-Tirmidhi (3498) and Abu Dawud (1315)]

Abu Musa narrated the Prophet (SAW) said: “Allah spreads out His hand at night to accept the repentance of those who committed sins during the day, and He spreads out His hand during the day to accept the repentance of those who committed sins during the night. (He will continue to do this) until the sun rises from the West.” [Sahih Muslim (4/2113) No. 2759]

Ata' bin Abi Rabah said, "I went to Ibn 'Abbas and found him drawing water from the well of Zamzam. The bottom of his clothes was wet with the water of Zamzam and I said to him, 'They talked about Al-Qadar (some denied it).' He asked, 'Have they done this?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'By Allah! This Ayah was revealed only about them, ("Taste you the touch of Hell!" Verily, We have created all things with Qadar.) They are the worst members of this Ummah. Do not visit those who fall ill among them or pray the Funeral prayer for those among them who die. If I saw one of them, I would pluck out his eyes with these two fingers of mine." [Tafsir Ibn Kathir (7/483), Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim (10/3321) No. 18715, Ithaf al-Khiyarah al-Maharah al-Busayri (6/280) No. 5846, its narrators are Thiqat (trustworthy)]

If you deny a pillar of Islam or emaan, you are a kaafir

Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them. (An-Nisa 4:145)

- there is no excuse of ignorance for worshipping a false deity

Narrated from Anas (RA) that a man said: “O Messenger of Allah, where is my father?” He said: “In Hell.” When he turned away he called him back and said: “My father and your father are in Hell.” [Sahih Muslim (Vol. 1, pg. 191) No. 203]

- the hadith above is hujjah for these hypocrites
- and if you have any guts come for a debate
- if you feel your religion is the truth then come for a debate
- the Shi’ites and Saudi Salafis came for a debate with sheikh

- one of shaikhs teachers, Abdur Rahman al-Barrak made takfeer
- on people who preach Darwinism
- and he said there is no excuse of ignorance for preaching Darwinism in the masjids

Sheikh Abdur-Rahman ibn Naasir Al-Barraak on Usama Hasan:

The Rasul (SAW) said that the grave is an idol worshipped besides Allah

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "O Allah! Do not make my grave an idol that is worshipped. The anger on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible." [Muwatta Malik (1/223) No. 570, Musannaf Abdur Razzaq (1/406) No. 1587, Musnad Ahmad (2/246) No. 7352]

And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him only, but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others. (Al-'Ankabut 29:65)

- your aql is hujjah, this is why there is no excuse for shirk
- the kuffaar didn’t keep their promise to Allah
- how can they keep their promise to you?

"And what made you hasten from your people, O Musa (Moses)?" (Ta-Ha 20:83)

He said: "They are close on my footsteps, and I hastened to You, O my Lord, that You might be pleased." (Ta-Ha 20:84)

- this meant that they were not far away from him
- Musa (AS) was very punctual

(Allah) said: "Verily! We have tried your people in your absence, and As-Samiri has led them astray." (Ta-Ha 20:85)

- the Jewish women took off their jewelry and they made a golden calf out of them
- and worshipped it

The real name of As-Saamiri is Musa bin Zafar
- he was addicted to shirk (cow worshipping)

SHIA HUJJAH: In a narration attributed to Imam Abu Abdullah [a.s.], he said: “Once al-Qaim (Imam Mahdi) from the household of Muhammad appears, he will rule using the law of David and Solomon, he will not ask for evidences.” (Al-Kulaini, Usul al-Kafi, Vol. 1, p. 397)

SHIA HUJJAH: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Saeed al Uqdah attributes to al-Mufadhal ibn Umar saying that Abu Abdullah [as] said: “When the Imam Mahdi makes a call (for prayer), he will supplicate to God using God's Hebrew name and then his three hundred thirteen friends (followers) will rush to him...” (AnNumani, Al-Ghayba , p.326)

The Brevlis are still Hindus
- they even have the Hindu culture

Allah ordered the clouds to be shade for them
- Allah also blessed them with food and drink, a dead man coming back to life
- and yet they worship a golden calf and not Allah, why are Jews so evil?
- because they are atheist
- if you lived in the time of Musa and you saw one miracle,
- the sea splitting, this would be sufficient for you to believe in Allah

Musa was devastated when Bani Israel worshipped the calf besides Allah
- As-Saamiri was from Egypt and he is the one who made the golden calf

Then Mûsa (Moses) returned to his people in a state of anger and sorrow. He said: "O my people! Did not your Lord promise you a fair promise? Did then the promise seem to you long in coming? Or did you desire that wrath should descend from your Lord on you, so you broke your promise to me (i.e disbelieving in Allah and worshipping the calf)?" (Ta-Ha 20:86)

- the worst crime is shirk, not murder
- they promised Musa they would worship Allah Alone

They said: "We broke not the promise to you, of our own will, but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh)] people, then we cast them (into the fire), and that was what As-Samiri suggested." (Ta-Ha 20:87)

They justified worshipping the calf
- how did they do this? they said they borrowed gold from Egypt
- and they felt it was a burden, so they built a calf
- they didn’t, but Saamiri built it
- when someone is in wrong they blame each other
- and they become a snitch (super grass)

They said the As-Saamiri did it, and they said they found it as a burden
- but does that mean because you built it you should worship it?
- there is no justification you worshipped the calf after so many miracles
- still thinking the calf is your Lord, this is how ungrateful the Jews are

Then he took out (of the fire) for them a statue of a calf which seemed to low. They said: "This is your liar (god), and the liar (god) of Mûsa (Moses), but [Mûsa (Moses)] has forgotten (his god).'" (Ta-Ha 20:88)

- Musa pulled the beard of Harun, because he thought
- Harun was the reason for Bani Israel to be mislead
- how can you be so brain-dead that your god is lifeless
- it’s like when Abraham broke the idols in Nimrods palace
- and then put the axe in the big idol and said it did it
- Nimrod said how can this be when the idol is lifeless?
- then Abraham said ‘then how can you worship it?’ and this checkmated nimrod

"And by Allah, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs." (Al-Anbiya 21:57)
So he broke them to pieces, (all) except the biggest of them, that they might turn to it. (Al-Anbiya 21:58)
They said: "Who has done this to our aliha (gods)? He must indeed be one of the wrong-doers." (Al-Anbiya 21:59)
They said: "We heard a young man talking (against) them who is called Ibrahim (Abraham)." (Al-Anbiya 21:60)
They said: "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may testify." (Al-Anbiya 21:61)
They said: "Are you the one who has done this to our gods, O Ibrahim (Abraham)?" (Al-Anbiya 21:62)
[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!" (Al-Anbiya 21:63)
So they turned to themselves and said: "Verily, you are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)." (Al-Anbiya 21:64)
Then they turned to themselves (their first thought and said) : "Indeed you [Ibrahim (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not!" (Al-Anbiya 21:65)
[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you then worship besides Allah, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you? (Al-Anbiya 21:66)
"Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allah! Have you then no sense?" (Al-Anbiya 21:67)
They said: "Burn him and help your aliha (gods), if you will be doing." (Al-Anbiya 21:68)
We (Allah) said: "O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibrahim (Abraham)!" (Al-Anbiya 21:69)
And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. (Al-Anbiya 21:70)

Narrated By Um Sharik: the Messenger of Allah (SAW) ordered that the salamander should be killed and said, "It (i.e. the salamander) blew (the fire) on Abraham." [Sahih Bukhari (4/141) No. 3359]

Did they not see that it could not return them a word (for answer), and that it had no power either to harm them or to do them good? (Ta-Ha 20:89)

And Hārûn (Aaron) indeed had said to them beforehand: "O my people! You are being tried in this, and verily, your Lord is (Allah) the Most Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order." (Ta-Ha 20:90)

They said: "We will not stop worshipping it (i.e. the calf), until Mûsa (Moses) returns to us." (Ta-Ha 20:91)

Whenever there is a religious personality and the person goes back
- to their old ways, they change
- like how when the prophet (SAW) pasted away
- some changed and followed Musaylima the liar
- when the religious personality is not around people apostate, and the strong survive
- some people on the Day of Judgment will go to drink from the fountain,
- and as they approach they will get dragged away by the angels,
- and the prophet (SAW) will cry out for them

Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said, "On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam)." [Sahih Bukhari (8/120) No. 6585]

When Musa went to Mount Sanai for forty days, what happened?
- the people started to worship a calf
- so you need a religious figure in the community to remind the people of tawheed
- otherwise people will return to shirk
- when the mujahideen took over Mali they broke the shrines which the Sufis worshipped
- people worship these graves other than Allah

Mali Islamists Destroy More Ancient Shrines in Timbuktu:

- the mujahideen when they conquer places they have to break down graves people worship
- like when Musa went away for forty days, the people started to worship the calf
- this is what we learn from the tafseer tonight
- that when the religious figure leaves, people will apostate
- you need a leader to guide people and remind people to tawheed
- leadership is a serious matter
- this is personality worship
- they were practicing this, as you can see from this ayah (20:91)

[Mûsa (Moses)] said: "O Hārûn (Aaron)! What stopped you when you saw them going astray; (Ta-Ha 20:92)

- Musa blamed his brother

And We appointed for Mûsa (Moses) thirty nights and added (to the period) ten (more), and he completed the term, appointed by his Lord, of forty nights. And Mûsa (Moses) said to his brother Hārûn (Aaron): "Replace me among my people, act in the Right Way (by ordering the people to obey Allah and to worship Him Alone) and follow not the way of the Mufsidûn (mischief-makers)." (Al-A'raf 7:142)

- Musa told his brother ‘make sure they worship Allah’
- and keep them upon tawheed
- be a prophet whilst I’m gone
- Musa could smell danger
- when he left people were quick to apostate
- the Rasool (SAW) said:

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) reported the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said; "Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. A man would be a believer in the morning and turn to disbelief in the evening, or he would be a believer in the evening and turn disbeliever in the morning, and would sell his Faith for worldly goods."' [Sahih Muslim (1/110) No. 118, Musnad Ahmad (2/303) No. 8017, Sunan Tirmidhi (4/487) No. 2195]

"That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?" (Ta-Ha 20:93)

He [Hārûn (Aaron)] said: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard, nor by my head! Verily, I feared lest you should say: 'You have caused a division among the Children of Israel, and you have not respected my word!'" (Ta-Ha 20:94)

- Musa pulled the beard of Harun
- Musa and Harun where from the same mother and father
- Harun said: 'O my Brother, let go of my beard'
- but because Musa could not control his anger
- he seized the beard of his brother

When the people worshipped the calf, Harun wanted to go and tell Musa
- but he didn’t go, because Musa will say, you left them and they started worshipping the calf
- so Harun stayed with them, he couldn’t stop them and they almost killed him

Why did he say, 'O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard, nor by my head! Verily, I feared lest you should say: 'You have caused a division among the Children of Israel,'

- because when you say O son of my mother, brings you more closer, not your father
- the Rasool (SAW) said who's the best? your mother three time, then your father

Narrated By Abu Huraira: A man came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me?" The Prophet said, "Your mother." The man said. "Who is next?" The Prophet said, "Your mother." The man further said, "Who is next?" The Prophet said, "Your mother." The man asked for the fourth time, "Who is next?" The Prophet said, "Your father." [al-Bukhari (5971) and Muslim (2548)]

[Mûsa (Moses)] said: "And what is the matter with you. O Samiri? (i.e. why did you do so?)" (Ta-Ha 20:95)

(Samiri) said: "I saw what they saw not, so I took a handful (of dust) from the hoof print of the messenger [Jibrael's (Gabriel) horse] and threw it [into the fire in which were put the ornaments of the Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people, or into the calf]. Thus my inner-self suggested to me." (Ta-Ha 20:96)

Mûsa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e. you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your ilāh (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea." (Ta-Ha 20:97)

- his punishment for building the calf will be that no one will come next to him
- no wife, no kids, until the angel of death comes
- the false calf they worshipped, would be burned and scattered in the sea
