Bismillah...

We're discussing tonight, THE BATTLE OF HITTIN
-there are many battles that took place between Islam and kufr
-the most memorable between Islam and Christendom was this battle

Why is Jerusalem so loved by all Muslims?

The Reasons are:

1. Palestine was our first Qibla

2. It’s the land of Masjid al Aqsa

3. The foundation stone there was laid by the angels

4. Masjid al Aqsa is where Muhammad (saw) prayed with the other prophets

5. The Rasool prayed for Allah to bless us with our Sham and Yemen

6. The graves of many Prophets and Sahabah are there

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet (SAW) said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The People said, "And also on our Najd." He said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! And also on our Najd." I think the third time the Prophet said, "There (in Najd) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan." [Sahih Bukhari (9/54) No. 7094]

7. Salah in Makkah is equal to 100,000 salah but
-salah in Madina is equal to 1000 and in Jerusalem, 500
-so it's our 3rd holiest mosque

8. Palestine is our Islamic heritage

Abu Huraira (RA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Journeys may not be made (for visit) to any mosque but three: Masjid Haram (Bayt Allah), my mosque (Masjid Nabawi) and Masjid Aqsa. [al-Bukhari (1189) and Muslim (1397)]

It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "One prayer in my mosque is better than one thousand prayers elsewhere, except the Sacred Mosque, and one prayer in the Sacred Mosque is better than one hundred thousand prayers elsewhere." [Musnad Ahmad (3/397) No. 15306 and Sunan Ibn Majah (2/412) No. 1406]

Abu Hurayrah reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “A salah in this, my mosque is better than a thousand in any other except the Masjid Haram.” [al-Bukhari (1190) and Muslim (1394)]

Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said,"A group of people from my Ummah shall remain steadfast to the truth; they will continue to fight in obedience to the command of Allah and remain dominant over their enemies. Those who will oppose them shall not do them any harm - except for hardship and hunger. They will remain in this condition until victory (or that the Hour overtakes them).' He was asked, 'O Messenger of Allah (SAW), where are they?' He replied, 'In Al-Quds and its precincts." [Musnad Ahmad (5/269) No. 22374 and al-Mu’jam al-Kabir al-Tabarani (8/145) No. 7643]

WHAT WAS THE SPRING-BOARD THAT LAUNCHED THE BATTLE OF HITTIN?

Pope Urban was on the throne and the Christian world was in turmoil against each other
-they were fighting for land and money and influence
-there was a conflict between Pope Clemens and Pope Urban, as to who was the real Pope
-even the orthodox were fighting amongst themselves

They fight not against you even together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Their enmity among themselves is very great. You would think they were united, but their hearts are divided, that is because they are a people who understand not. (Al-Hashr 59:14)

POPE URBAN II: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Urban_II

In 1095 C.E. a Crusade was called against the Muslims to solidify his grip on power
-George Bush SR was President for 1 year and his son, Bush Jr. was BARELY the President
-to keep from being a 1 time President, he started a war
-because it's bad to change leadership during a war
-starting wars helps you solidify your grip on power

Pope Clement gave a motivating speech for all Christians who fight non-Christians
-many heeded his call to liberate Jerusalem from the Muslim ummah
-some listened to him because they were POOR and some
-because they were CROSS worshipers

DURING THE MIDDLE AGES
-the poor worked for the landowners
-but heeding this call allowed them an opportunity to own their own land

O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitānah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand. (Aali Imran 3:118)

THE KNIGHTS TEMPLARS:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Templar

-during this time, the KNIGHTS TEMPLARS was formed
-they were fighting / army / trained
-they also had the HOSPITALLERS (these were the medical and elite of the community)
-none of these were Christians but they hid behind the cloak of Christianity
-to carry out their evil intentions

In 1099 C.E., the KNIGHTS TEMPLARS laid siege to Jerusalem
-killing men, women, kids and even Jews
-the blood of the Muslims was knee high

SIEGE OF JERUSALEM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_%281099%29

-these were also barbarians (eating the killed children);
-they were also rapists and homosexuals
-they recited Psalms 118:24 while they killed and ate the children of the ummah

In 1307 C.E., Pope Clement ordered their arrest because of their atheism
-the Knights Templars were NEVER Christians
-they are so evil in character that their NAME had to die
-so they became known as the FREE MASONS
-these FREE MASONS are the same as the Templars, just with a new kunya (name)

As for the KNIGHTS OF THE HOSPITALLERS, their new name is the Knights of Malta

Note: the Scottish Rite Branch of Freemasonry have a degree
-called the degree of the Knights Templars

The Christians after capturing Jerusalem had a HUGE disadvantage
-they were surrounded by Muslim countries who didn't want a Latin kingdom in Palestine
-they played off one country against another [divide and rule]
-this strategy would soon disappear because a young, handsome,
-pious and charismatic man emerged

1171 C.E - Salahuddin al Ayyubi came to power in Egypt
-he changed Egypt from Shia to Sunni
-al Azhar used to be a Shiite University

Salahuddin united both kingdoms under one leadership

KNIGHTS HOSPITALLER
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Hospitaller

-the Christian Latin kingdom in Palestine was now surrounded by one large Muslim Empire
-when the Christians saw this, they changed their strategy
-and they decided to enter into peace negotiations with Salahuddin

Guy De Lusignanbecame the king of Palestine, when this happened,
-there was fitna because not everyone gave him their bay’a (oath of allegiance)

Guy de Lusignan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_of_Lusignan

They fight not against you even together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Their enmity among themselves is very great. You would think they were united, but their hearts are divided, that is because they are a people who understand not. (Al-Hashr 59:14)

Raynald de Chatillon was another embarrassing setback for Christians
-his castle was called THE CROW'S NEST
-on a hilltop, by a road the Muslims used for hajj and journeys

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raynald_of_Ch%C3%A2tillon

-he couldn't resist what he considered 'easy wealth'
-so he robbed and killed unarmed pilgrims going to Makkah
-this caused the Christians to violate their peace treaty with Salahuddin
-so he gathered 30,000 men to mobilize against the Christians
-Raynald's behaviour of constantly breaking this treaty with Salahuddin is the spring-board

The Knight's Templars came into contact with Salahuddin through Gerard de Ridefort
-he was the grandmaster of the Knight's Templars and he ordered an attack
-even though there was only 140 men to fight (and we have 30,000)
-he still ordered them to fight
-they were never Christians, any more than the Qaadiyani are not Muslims

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerard_de_Ridefort

People hide behind a religion to hide behind their nefarious activities
-when this attack was ordered, 80 Templars were killed
-this was humiliating

TIBERIUS was a rich fortress and Salahuddin laid siege on it
-he wanted to take over this area because of their rich land and supply of water

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiberias

-the Christians had a shura and decide not to go defend Tiberius
-but in the meeting, Guy said YES LET'S GO PROTECT TIBERIUS
-Guy was the king of Palestine at this time

The men were split down the middle as to should they defend the land or not
-in this meeting, some said, we won't march to protect the land
-because we'll be vulnerable in the open air
-but they listened to Guy who said, let's march
-this played right into the hands of Salahuddin
-by marching, they be cut off from water

Narrated Ka'b ibn Malik: When the Prophet (SAW) intended to go on an expedition, he always pretended to be going somewhere else, and he would say: "War is deception". [Abu Dawud 2629, Tirmidhi 1681, Ahmed 14312]

TO WIN A WAR, YOU NEED 3 THINGS:
1. WEAPONS
2. BRAVERY / TAQWAH
3. STRATEGY

The trick Salahuddin played on them was laying siege on their richest city
-he knew he'd drag them out in the open
-Raymond was in the city (he was one of the kings) and his wife was there, too
-the Christians would be tempted to protect this city but
-they became vulnerable by marching in the desert

This battle was in 1187 C.E. [583 AH]
-this was on the 4th of July because it was the hottest time of the year
-in that part of the world
-this was another war strategy: exhaust your enemy during the hottest time of the year

When the Knights Templars were marching toward Tiberius,
-Salahuddin made sure they were cut off from water
-it was a long and difficult journey, so much so that they lost their will to fight
-they no longer cared about fighting the Muslims,
-but saving themselves ['nafsi nafsi' they cried]
-this was a humiliated defeat on them
-especially when the Muslims started a fire so the Christians vision would be impaired

Raynald was captured, as were many of the Templars
-this is the man w/ the house called CROW'S NEST
-over-looking the road going towards Makkah
-stealing the ummah's property, calling it 'easy wealth'
-he was asked why he broke the treaty and Salahuddin
-chopped off his head w/ his own sword
-historians report that he'd raped Salahuddin's sister
-but THIS WAS A CHRISTIAN SOURCE and we can't expect that as hujjah

King Louis of France made baraa from the Templars because they dabbled in black magic
-Salahuddin asked these men, what do you choose?

1. EMBRACE ISLAM or
2. DIE

All of them chose death and did NOT embrace Islam
-cannibals and homosexuals do not embrace Islam
-these pagans had learned their evil from Nimrod of Babylon
-the Templars were the conduit of the inequities of Europe and the Middle East
-when Pope Urban II heard about the victory of the Muslims,
-he had a heart attack and died

After this battle, Salahuddin marched into Jerusalem with his army
-without shedding any blood
-the city surrendered itself to Salahuddin
-this is called the 2nd Crusade, also History's Turning Point

Richard, the Lionhearted and Frederick Barbarossa tried to retake Jerusalem in a 3rd crusade
-see 2:217 for the reason why

And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islāmic Monotheism) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever." (Al-Baqarah 2:217)

THIRD CRUSADE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Crusade

~THE BATTLE BETWEEN TRUTH AND FALSEHOOD IS A NEVER-ENDING BATTLE ~

SALAHUDDIN didn't kill the king, Guy
-he said kings do not kill kings
