51 MERITS OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)

FEBRARY 06 2014/ 05 RABI AL THANI 1435 HIJRI

BY SHAIKH ABDULLAH AL FAISAL

EDITED BY ABU HAFIZA & JANSEP2001

What are the merits of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam):

There is no doubt that he was the greatest human being in the history; even the kuffar attest to that His character was the most comprehensive of character.

His character had social, economic, political, spiritual dimensions which is why Michael Hart ranks him as the #1 personality of all times.

Isa (AS) wasn't successful politically.

Musa (AS) wasn't successful militarily.

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much.

(Al-Ahzab 33:21)

This is why Allah (SWT) says in 33:21

In this ayah, Allah (SWT) tells us that you will find the best in the character of Muhammad (
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

He was a Father, Husband, Grandfather, Leader.

MERITS OF THE PROPHET:

1) He had amazing ability to express himself

He was able to use small words and express big ideas,

Jawamie al kalam<

e.g., He said: water necessitates water.

It means that when you ejaculate inside your wife thereafter you take ghusl.

This hadith was abrogated.

This was in the earlier stage of Islam

The new ruling>> whenever the two circumcised parts meet, ghusl becomes compulsory for both

The hadith about six things given to Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) over other prophets: the first of those is jawami al qalam.

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
1) I have been given superiority over the other prophets in six respects:
2) I have been given words, which are concise but comprehensive in meaning;
3) I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies):
4) spoils have been made lawful to me:
5) the earth has been made for me clean and a place of worship;
6) I have been sent to all mankind and the line of prophets is closed with m

[Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith #1062]

The hadith is mentioned in sahih of Muslim.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: 'Two men came from the East and addressed the people who wondered at their eloquent speeches. On that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Some eloquent speech is as effective as magic."'

[Tran Sahih Al Bukhari Vol: 7 Book 67 No. 5146]

2) He was blessed with fear.

One month before he would fight the kuffar, they would tremble.

ru'b is the Arabic word for fear.

Suicide is rife amongst the armies of kuffar, because they are scared to fight the Muslims.

We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers).

(Aali Imran 3:151)

This is Allah's (SWT) promise proof is in 3:151

He (SWT) will cast terror in the hearts of the kuffar armies.

The kuffar soldiers rely on substances to come face-to-face with the mujahideen.

This is because they commit shirk and defend it.

Not only does Allah (SWT) promise to strike them down with terror, He commands us to do the same; proof 8:60

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

(Al-Anfal 8:60) Sahih international

The ayah is about the kuffar and munafiqeen.

Those who say that a Muslim can’t kill a munafiq are weak in Islamic knowledge.

Because Umar (RA) did so and the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) did not reprimand him.

reprimand = excoriate **English vocal**

^^this is the evidence for killing a munafiq who mostly are spies.

The kafir soldiers are junkies who are petrified, terrified from the mujahideen and suicide is rife amongst their ranks.

We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allah, for which He had sent no authority; their abode will be the Fire and how evil is the abode of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers).

(Aali Imran 3:151)

3) HE (MUHAMMAD (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), THE WHOLE WORLD WAS MADE A MOSQUE AND PURIFICATION FOR HIM AND HIS UMMAH

We can pray wherever we are and can perform tayyamum from earth if water is scarce

We can pray anywhere except six haram places: the graveyard, the toilet, the walkway where people walk, where garbage is dumped, where animals are tied up, on top of the kaabah.

Ibn 'Umar said: "Allah's Messenger prohibited prayer from being performed in seven places: The garbage dump, the slaughtering area, the graveyard, the commonly used road, the bathroom, in the area that camels rest at, and above the Ka'bah."

[Sunan Tirmidhi (2/177) No. 346 and Sunan Ibn Majah (1/479) No. 746]

* In a dream if you see yourself praying on top of the kaabah, it is considered bad *

4) THE BOOTY WAS MADE HALAL FOR HIM AND HIS UMMAH

If you are facing poverty, it means you have abandoned jihad.

It has been narrated on the authority of 'Umar b. al-Khattab who said: When it was the day on which the Battle of Badr was fought, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said it was brought to me as close as this tree. (He pointed to a tree close to him.) Then God revealed the verse:" It is not befitting for a prophet that he should take prisoners until the force of the disbelievers has been crushed..." to the end of the verse:" so eat ye the spoils of war, (it is) lawful and pure. So Allah made booty lawful for them."

[Sahih Muslim (3/1383-1385) No. 1763]

This is because the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: I was sent with the sword from now until the Day of Judgment.

The hadith above is found in Musnad Ahmed.

And abundant spoils that they will capture. And Allah is Ever All Mighty, All Wise.

(Al-Fath 48:19)

Ayah 48:19 also clarifies this above verse.

Narrated Ibn Umar (Ra) that the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "My livelihood is under the shade of my spear, and he who disobeys my orders will be humiliated."

(Sahih Bukhari, p.408, vol.1)

Short version of the hadith
Ibn Umar narrated the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "I was sent by the sword from now until Judgment Day, until Allah Alone is worshipped with no partners, and my livelihood is in the shadow of my spear, and humiliation and submission are on those who disobey me and whoever imitates a people is one of them"

[Musnad Ahmad (2/50) No. 5115, Shu'ab al-Eman al-Bayhaqi (2/417) No. 1154, Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (4/212) No. 19401]

For you to be suffering poverty, it means you have left jihad.

Ibn Umar (RA) and Ayesha (RAA) said: we did not enjoy a bed full of dates until we conquered Khaibar.

Narrated By 'Aisha: When Khaibar was conquered, we said, "Now we will eat our fill of dates!"

[Sahih Bukhari, Vol 5, Book 59, Hadith #547]

The conditions of the sahabas got better from Makkah to Medina, because Jihad was allowed, and booty as well

5) HE WAS SENT AS MERCY TO MANKIND

So when he (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) conquered Mecca, he let the tormentors go free.

And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

(Al-Anbiya 21:107)

Allah (SWT) also mentions this trait in Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in 21:07

"O Quraish, what do you think I will do to you?" They said, “You are a brother, the son of a noble brother.” He said: "Go your way, for you are free.”

[Al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Bayhaqi (9/199) No. 18276, Fath ul-Bari Ibn Hajar (8/18) No. 4289, Seerah Ibn Hisham (2/412), al-Seerah al-Nabawiyyah Ibn Kathir (3/570)]

Other ayah as proof: 3:159

And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).

(Aali Imran 3:159)

The above ayah was revealed after the Muslims defeat at Uhud.

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) corrected his companions in a merciful way.

Insaan = a) man, b) a forgetful person **definitions**

The Sahabas forgot the Instructions in the battlefield because they anticipated the victory

Another proof: 9:128

Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire), for the believers (he Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is) full of pity, kind, and merciful.

(At-Tawbah 9:128)

6) HE WAS GIVEN THE GREAT INTERCESSION

Adam (AS) ate from the tree, Noah (AS) asked a question, Ibrahim told three lies (the big idol broke the small idols; in the festival time he said he was sick; he told the king his wife-Sarah is his sister)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Abraham did not tell a lie except on three occasions. Twice for the Sake of Allah when he said, "I am sick," and he said, "(I have not done this but) the big idol has done it." The (third was) that while Abraham and Sarah (his wife) were going (on a journey) they passed by (the territory of) a tyrant. Someone said to the tyrant, "This man (i.e. Abraham) is accompanied by a very charming lady." So, he sent for Abraham and asked him about Sarah saying, "Who is this lady?" Abraham said, "She is my sister." Abraham went to Sarah and said, "O Sarah! There are no believers on the surface of the earth except you and I. This man asked me about you and I have told him that you are my sister, so don't contradict my statement." The tyrant then called Sarah and when she went to him, he tried to take hold of her with his hand, but (his hand got stiff and) he was confounded. He asked Sarah.

"Pray to Allah for me, and I shall not harm you." So Sarah asked Allah to cure him and he got cured. He tried to take hold of her for the second time, but (his hand got as stiff as or stiffer than before and) was more confounded. He again requested Sarah, "Pray to Allah for me, and I will not harm you." Sarah asked Allah again and he became all right. He then called one of his guards (who had brought her) and said, "You have not brought me a human being but have brought me a devil."

The tyrant then gave Hajar as a girl-servant to Sarah. Sarah came back (to Abraham) while he was praying. Abraham, gesturing with his hand, asked, "What has happened?" She replied, "Allah has spoiled the evil plot of the infidel (or immoral person) and gave me Hajar for service." (Abu Huraira then addressed his listeners saying, "That (Hajar) was your mother, O Bani Ma-is-Sama (i.e. the Arabs, the descendants of Ishmael, Hajar's son).

[Sahih Bukhari, Book 55, Vol.4, No.578]

Musa (AS) will not be able to intercede because he had killed a man; and Jesus (AS) would not do so because he would say its not his right.

On the authority of Anas (RA) from the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), who said: "The believers will gather together on the Day of Resurrection and will say: 'Should we not ask [someone] to intercede for us with our Lord?' So they will come to Adam and will say: 'You are the Father of mankind; Allah created you with His Hand, He made His angels bow down to you, and He taught you the names of everything, so intercede for us with your Lord so that He may give us relief from this place where we are.'

And he will say: 'I am not in a position [to do that]' - and he will mention his wrongdoing and will feel ashamed and will say: 'Go to Noah, for he is the first messenger that Allah sent to the inhabitants of the earth.' So they will come to him and he will say: 'I am not in a position [to do that]' - and he will mention his having requested something of his Lord about which he had no [proper] knowledge (Qur'an Chapter 11 Verses 45-46), and he will feel ashamed and will say: 'Go to the Friend of the Merciful (Abraham).' So they will come to him and he will say: 'I am not in a position [to do that]. Go to Moses, a servant to whom Allah talked and to whom He gave the Torah.' So they will come to him and he will say: 'I am not in a position [to do that]' - and he will mention the talking of a life other than for a life (Qur'an Chapter 28 Verses 15-16) and he will feel ashamed in the sight of his Lord and will say: 'Go to Jesus, Allah's servant and messenger, Allah's word and spirit.'

So they will come to him and he will say: 'I am not in a position [to do that]. Go to Muhammad (SAW), a servant to whom Allah has forgiven all his wrongdoing, past and future.' So they will come to me and I shall set forth to ask permission to come to my Lord, and permission will be given, and when I shall see my Lord I shall prostrate myself. He will leave me thus for such time as it pleases Him, and then it will be said [to me]: 'Raise your head. Ask and it will be granted.

Speak and it will be heard. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted.' So I shall raise my head and praise Him with a form of praise that He will teach me. Then I shall intercede and He will set me a limit [as to the number of people], so I shall admit them into Paradise. Then I shall return to Him, and when I shall see my Lord [I shall bow down] as before. Then I shall intercede and He will set me a limit [as to the number of people]. So I shall admit them into Paradise. Then I shall return for a third time, and then a fourth and I shall say:

'There remain in Hell-fire only those whom the Qur'an has confined and who must be there for eternity.' There shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: 'There is no god but Allah' and who has in his heart goodness weighing a barley-corn; then there shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said 'There is no god but Allah' and who has in his heart goodness weighing a grain of wheat; then there shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: 'There is no god but Allah' and who has in his heart goodness weighing an atom.

Bukhari (also by Muslim, at-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah).]

Finally the people gathered will go to Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), then will pray to Allah (SWT) for the accounting to begin.

A hafiz will intercede for 10 members of his family.

A Shahid will intercede for *70 members of his family

Scholars classify the hadith as weak, which says "hafiz will intercede 10 members of his family"

The hadith that says the hafiz will intercede 10 members of his household is considered daif.

7) Allah made him the best prophet

Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: I am the most noble of Adam's (AS) descendent and this is not to boost.

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “I am the most noble of Adam’s descendants on the Day of Resurrection. I am the first whose grave shall be opened. I am the first to offer intercession. I am the first whose intercession shall be accepted.”

[Sahih Muslim (4/1782) No. 2278]

Allah (SWT) Himself says that He prefers some prophets over others; proof 2:253

Those Messengers! We preferred some to others; to some of them Allah spoke (directly); others He raised to degrees (of honour); and to 'Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), We gave clear proofs and evidences, and supported him with Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]. If Allah had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought against each other, after clear Verses of Allah had come to them, but they differed - some of them believed and others disbelieved. If Allah had willed, they would not have fought against one another, but Allah does what He likes.

(Al-Baqarah 2:253)

What does it mean when Allah (SWT) says: not to make distinction between prophets?.

It means not to make distinction in terms of nationalism, racism, or tribalism

8) HE WILL BE THE FIRST TO ENTER PARADISE ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT

On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik (RA) the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “I will come to the gate of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection and ask for it to be opened. The gatekeeper will ask, ‘Who are you?’ I will say: ‘Muhammad.’ He will say, ‘I was commanded not to open it for anyone before you.’

[Sahih Muslim (1/188) No. 197]

When the door of jannah is knocked for the first time, the keeper of the gate will say he was not commanded to open the gate before Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

9) HE IS THE ONLY MESSENGER WHOSE BOOK, A PORTION OF IT WAS REVEALED IN THE 7TH HEAVEN

To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and whether you disclose what is in your own selves or conceal it, Allah will call you to account for it. Then He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Able to do all things.

(Al-Baqarah 2:284)

This ayah was abrogated by 2:286

Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

(Al-Baqarah 2:286)

**belief in abrogation is aqeedah of Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaah, anyone who doesn't is a deviant**

The new ruling is, we are not punished for evil thoughts until they turn to actions.

Allah (SWT) out of His mercy changed the ruling

That ayah was revealed to Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in the 7th heaven>>Al Baqarah 2:286

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) brought three gifts when he went to isra wal miraj

A) Salah,

B) Al Baqarah 2:286,

C) Multiplication of pious deeds

10) ALLAH HAS MADE HIS UMMAH THE BEST UMMAH

You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. And had the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) believed, it would have been better for them; among them are some who have faith, but most of them are Al-Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah - and rebellious against Allah's Command).

(Aali Imran 3:110)

This is because the Christians believe in Allah (SWT) but He repented; the Jews say Allah's hands are tied and that He rested on the 7th day.

Only the Muslims believe in Allah (SWT) properly.

Hadith: khair un naas karni

You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islāmic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allāh.

Narrated By 'Abdullah : The Prophet said, "The best people are those of my generation, and then those who will come after them (the next generation), and then those who will come after them (i.e. the next generation), and then after them, there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths, and whose oaths will precede their witness."

[Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith #437]

When the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was told to do jihad, the companions told him that they would never do what bani israel did to Musa (AS).

This is because the ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is the best ummah.

When Musa (AS) and Isa heard of the ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), they prayed to be part of the ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

baab ludd

Isa's (AS) supplication was answered.

Isa (AS) will come back at the end of times as an ummati and not as prophet.

Miqdad ibn Amr said to the Holy Prophet: “O Messenger of Allah commands us with what Allah has ordained because you have our full support wholeheartedly. By Allah we will never say to you what Bani Israel said to Musa (i.e. you and your lord go and fight while we site and relax). But instead we say to you; you and your Lord go and fight and we shall be with you fighting for the cause of Allah. For by the one who has sent you with the truth if you march towards the highest mountains we shall march with you until we all reach it”.

(Seerah an-Nabawiyya by Ibn Hisham Vol 1. Pg.614 & Musnad Ahmad Vol.1 pg.390)

11) Half the people of paradise will be from the ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) alone this is taken from a hadith.

By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I hope that you will be half of the people of Paradise. No one will enter Paradise except a Muslim, and among the people of shirk you are like a white hair on the hide of a black bull, or a black hair on the hide of a red bull.”

(Reported by al-Bukhaari, 6047)

A Hadith Qudsi advocates, on the judgment day, the sins of Muslims will be put upon the backs of Jews & Christians, by the command of Allah, and these sinful Muslims as well as the righteous Muslims will all be admitted to the heaven by Allah’s order.

[This hadith is sound and mentioned in mustadrak of hakim]

12) ALLAH (SWT) REVEALED THE MOST SACRED BOOK IN HIS LANGUAGE

Aif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Clear Book (the Qur'an that makes clear the legal and illegal things, legal laws, a guidance and a blessing). Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an in order that you may understand.

(Yusuf 12:1-2)

13) HIS BIRTHPLACE WAS IN THE MOST SACRED CITY - MECCA TO BE A RESIDENT OF MECCA IS AN HONOR AND TO BE DEPORTED FROM IT IS A DISHONOR.

When they were out of the city, the prophet (pbuh) looked back and said ‘Of Allah’s earth, you are the dearest place to Allah and to me and if my people had not driven me out I would never have left you’. Reported in the Hijrah of The Life of the prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

Abdullah bin 'Adi bin Al-Hamra reported that he heard Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) saying, "By Allah! You (O Makkah) are the best of Allah’s land, and most beloved to Him. Had I not been driven away from you, I would have never departed (from you)."

(recorded by At-Tirmidhi, Ahmad, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah; At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Sahih')

The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) looked back when he was doing hijrah and said he would never leave it if not its inhabitants drove him out.

If you are resident of mecca, you are jaarAllah - neighbour of Allah (SWT)

Even when the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) conquered Mecca, he did not go back to mecca, because he could not turn his back at a people who gave him refuge, support and love

After the battle of hunain when the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave a lot of booty to the new reverts, the medinites grumbled, the prophet said I am giving myself, am going back to live with you.

The medinites cried when they heard that.

*this was done by the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) because the eman of the new reverts wasn't strong*

They said: how can we prefer camels to the rasulAllah.

This is why the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) didn't go back to Mecca. Because its not good to be ungrateful.

14) HIS LINEAGE WAS MADE THE BEST ON LINEAGE

"Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You, and show us our Manasik (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage - Hajj and 'Umrah, etc.), and accept our repentance. Truly, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

(Al-Baqarah 2:128)

When prophet Ibrahim raised the foundations of the kaabah, he prayed for the descendents of Ismail to be blessed.

15) ALL HIS WIVES WERE MADE WOMEN OF JANNAH,

16) HIS BOOK IS THE ONLY BOOK, WHICH IS FREE FROM CORRUPTION AND DISTORTIONS. IT IS PROTECTED

Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption).

(Al-Hijr 15:9)

Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise (Allah).

(Fussilat 41:42)

17) ALLAH MADE HIS HADITH WAHIY

Because of this hadith has the power to make things halal and haram.

Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.

(An-Najm 53: 3-4)

e.g. Gold is haram for men., jizya is taken from majoosiya, in Ramadan to pay Sadaqat ul Fitr.

To marry the niece and the aunt simultaneously.

The pervaizi's have no leg to stand on, if you read them 3:31

Say (O Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to mankind) : "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(Aali Imran 3:31)

With clear signs and Books (We sent the Messengers). And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) the reminder and the advice (the Qur'an), that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought.

(An-Nahl 16:44)

HOW TO CHECK MATE PERVAIZIS : 3:31 ; 16:44 ; 59:7 **memorize**

What Allah gave as booty (Fai') to His Messenger (Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) from the people of the townships, - it is for Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), the kindred (of Messenger Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), the orphans, Al Masakin (the poor), and the wayfarer, in order that it may not become a fortune used by the rich among you. And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.

(Al-Hashr 59:7)

And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it), and fear Allah.

MERIT # 18: ALLAH (SWT) HAS MADE HIM THE LAST PROPHET

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “My likeness and the likeness of the prophets before me is the likeness of a person who built a house, made it beautiful and made it complete, except the place of a stone in the corner. So people began to go round and to wonder at him and say: ‘Why have you not placed this stone?’ I am that stone and I am Khatam an-Nabiyyin (the Seal of the Prophets)".

[Al-Bukhari (3535) and Muslim (2286)]

Muhammad (SAW) is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last (end) of the Prophets. And Allah is Ever All Aware of everything.

(Al-Ahzab 33:40)

You are not allowed to eat the slaughtering of a person who doesn't believe Muhammad (SAW) is the last prophet.

You can't marry your daughter to them or bury them in the graveyard of the Muslims when they die.

MERIT # 19: OBEDIENCE TO MUHAMMAD IS OBEDIENCE TO ALLAH (SWT)

He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) as a watcher over them.

(An-Nisa 4:80)

Therefore, disobedience to the Rasul (SAW) is disobedience to Allah (SWT) because his speech is revelation.

Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.

(An-Najd 53:3-4)

MERIT # 20: TO GO TO MUHAMMAD FOR YOUR JUDGMENT TO ASK FOR HIS VERDICT IS IMAAN IN ALLAH

But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad SAW) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.

(An-Nisa 4:65)

A man went to the Prophet (SAW) to ask for his verdict but the man wasn't happy with it.

He then went to Abu Bakr (RA).

Abu Bakr (RA) drove him away.

He then went to Umar (RA).

Umar (RA) asked the man to wait and said he'll come with his verdict.

Umar (RA) came back and chopped the head of the man off.

MERIT # 21: ALLAH WASHED HIS HEART

Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? And We removed from you your burden, Which had weighed upon your back And raised high for you your repute.

(Ash-Sharh 94:1-4) Sahih International

MERIT # 22: ALLAH HAS MADE HIS CHARACTER COMPREHENSIVE

Muhammad (SAW) was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a stepfather, a father in law, a statesman, a military genius, a politician etc.

He combined all of these roles successfully.

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much.

(Al-Ahzab 33:21)

If you want to learn how to be a good husband, a good father, a good trader, a military genius or a good judge look at the hadith.

When he married Umm Salamah (RAA), he took care of her kids.

MERIT # 23: ALLAH AND HIS ANGELS SEND PEACE AND BLESSINGS UPON THE PROPHET

Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad SAW) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad SAW), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. AsSalamu 'Alaikum).

(Al-Ahzab 33:56)

The tafseer is that when you hear the name Muhammad you should say sallallahu alayhi wasallam .

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (RA) said: The Prophet (SAW) ascended the minbar and said: “Ameen, ameen, ameen.” It was said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the minbar and said, ‘Ameen, ameen, ameen.” He said: “Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: ‘If Ramadan comes and a person is not forgiven, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Ameen.’ So I said Ameen. He said: ‘O Muhammad, if both or one of a person’s parents are alive and he does not honour them and he dies, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Ameen.’ So I said Ameen. He said: ‘If you are mentioned in a person’s presence and he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Ameen.’ So I said Ameen.”

[Sahih Ibn Hibban, (3/188) No. 907 and Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah (3/192) No. 1888]

The Prophet cursed the one who heard his name and didn't say sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

Ali ibn Abu Talib (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “The miser is he before whom I am mentioned but he does not invoke blessings on me.”

[Sunan Tirmidhi (5/551) No. 3546, Musnad Ahmad (1/201) No. 1736]

Everytime you say (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) knows about it because the angel takes it to him.

This proves that there is a life in the grave.

It is called the barzakh.

The punishment in the grave is enough proof that there is life in the grave.

Just because there is life in the grave, this doesn't give you the right to become a grave worshipper.

Allah (SWT) blocks them from hearing your dua when you commit shirk.

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad SAW) like Him Who is the All Knower (of each and everything).

(Fatir 35:14)

When you make dua to a person in a grave, you are worshipping them.

The above ayah is evidence that when you call upon them you are worshipping them.

This is the knock out punch for the barelvi.

HAMZA YUSUF SAYS YOU CAN PRAY TO MUHAMMED http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFezsaQnzhk

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "O Allah! Do not make my grave an idol that is worshipped. The anger on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible."

[Muwatta Malik (1/223) No. 570, Musannaf Abdur Razzaq (1/406) No. 1587, Musnad Ahmad (2/246) No. 7352]

The Prophet (SAW) pronounced the grave an idol.

So a grave worshipper is an idol worshipper.

MERIT # 24: WHEN YOU FOLLOW MUHAMMAD, THAT IS PROOF THAT YOUR LOVE FOR ALLAH IS REAL

Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind) : "If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(Aali Imran 3:31)

If your love for Allah (SWT) is real, you will love the sunnah.

If it is fake, you will not love the sunnah.

This ayah is the knockout punch for the parvezis (the hadith rejecters).

There is an ayah that is a knockout punch for all deviant groups.

This is why it is important for you to memorise the hujjah.

Don't give the hypocrites and the deviants a chance.

MERIT # 25: ALLAH PRAISED HIM FOR HIS NOBLE CHARACTER

And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on an exalted standard of character.

(Al-Qalam 68:4)

They say Muhammad (
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) didn't frown; they say Abu Jahl frowned.

Abu Huraira narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "I was sent to perfect good character."

[Al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari, No. 273, Muwatta Malik (2/75) No. 1885, Musnad Ahmad (2/381) No. 8939, Mustadrak al-Haakim (2/670) No. 4221]

MERIT # 26: ALLAH HAS MADE HIS NAME THE MOST FAMOUS NAME

His name is called 5 times a day in the adhaan.

His name is called 5 times a day in the iqaama.

His name is called 5 times a day in the tashahud.

Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? (Ash-Sharh 94:1)

And We removed from you your burden (Ash-Sharh 94:2)

Which had weighed upon your back (Ash-Sharh 94:3)

And raised high for you your repute. (Ash-Sharh 94:4) Sahih International

MERIT # 27: ALLAH SWORE FOR HIS SAKE

By the morning brightness (Ad-Duha 93:1)

And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, (Ad-Duha 93:2)

Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. (Ad-Duha 93:3)

And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. (Ad-Duha 93:4) Sahih International

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) forgot to say in sha Allah. So the angel didn't come to him.

The kuffar were saying his Lord has dumped him.

This is why Allah (SWT) revealed Surah 93:3.

MERIT # 28: MUHAMMAD WAS A SHEILD SHEILDING MANKIND FROM ALLAH'S RETRIBUTION

Allah (SWT) destroyed the people of Noah (AS); Allah (SWT) even destroyed his son.

Allah (SWT) destroyed the people of Hud (AS) and the Prophet witnessed it.

Allah (SWT) destroyed the people of Lut and Lut witnessed it.

This didn't happen with the people of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).

Abu Jahl made a dua that if what Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) brought is the truth, to rain down upon them rain of stones.

And (remember) when they said: "O Allah! If this (the Qur'an) is indeed the truth (revealed) from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment." And Allah would not punish them while you (Muhammad SAW) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allah's) Forgiveness.

(Al-Anfal 8:32-33)

Allah (SWT) answered them in Surah 8:33.

MERIT # 29: MUHAMMAD WAS A FAVOUR FROM ALLAH TO US

Indeed Allah conferred a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves, reciting unto them His Verses (the Qur'an), and purifying them (from sins by their following him), and instructing them (in) the Book (the Qur'an) and Al Hikmah [the wisdom and the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW (i.e. his legal ways, statements, acts of worship, etc.)], while before that they had been in manifest error.

(Aali Imran 3:164)

MERIT # 30: HE COULD SEE FROM BEHIND HIS BACK

He told them not to lift their heads before he did in salah.

The imam is there to be followed.

You are not supposed to pray before him.

Anas reported:The Messenger of Allah () one day led us in the prayer. and when he completed the Prayer, he turned his face towards us and said: 0 People, I am your Imam, so do not precede me in bowing and prostration and in standing and turning (faces, i. e. In pronouncing salutation), for I see you in front of me and behind me, and then said: By Him in Whose hand Is the life of Muhammad, if you could see what I see, you would have laughed little and wept much more. They said: What did you see, Messenger of Allah? He replied: (I saw) Paradise and Hell.

(Sahih Muslim Book 4 Hadith 123)

MERIT # 31: THE MANY PREDICTIONS OF MUHAMMAD (
sallallahu alayhi wasallam)

For example, he predicted a slave will give birth to her mistress.

This means there will be a total breakdown in parent children relationships.

Another prediction is that the desert will become green.

That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master.

[Sahih Muslim Book 1 Hadith: 1]

When I was in Saudi Arabia, I saw cows grazing in fields.

They imported grass and cows instead of just buying the meat to be self-reliant.

Another prediction is that the Arabs will compete in buildings.

Umar ibn al-Khattab, told me: One day we were sitting in the company of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) when there appeared before us a man dressed in pure white clothes, his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel on him. None amongst us recognized him. At last he sat with the Apostle (peace be upon him) He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad, inform me about al-Islam. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Al-Islam implies that you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and you establish prayer, pay Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan, and perform pilgrimage to the (House) if you are solvent enough (to bear the expense of) the journey. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith). He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah, in His angels, in His Books, in His Apostles, in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (the inquirer) again said: Inform me about al-Ihsan (performance of good deeds). He (the Holy Prophet) said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, for though you don't see Him, He, verily, sees you. He (the enquirer) again said: Inform me about the hour (of the Doom). He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring (about it). He (the inquirer) said: Tell me some of its indications. He (the Holy Prophet) said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master, that you will find barefooted, destitute goat-herds vaying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. He (the narrator, Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: Then he (the inquirer) went on his way but I stayed with him (the Holy Prophet) for a long while. He then, said to me: Umar, do you know who this inquirer was? I replied: Allah and His Apostle knows best. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He was Gabriel (the angel). He came to you in order to instruct you in matters of religion.

{Sahih Muslim Book 1 Hadith 1}

Another predication of the Prophet (SAW) is that the wife that will die first after him is the one with the longest hand.

Longest hand means kindest.

Narrated `Aisha one of the wives of the Prophet () asked him, "Who amongst us will be the first to follow you (i.e. die after you)?" He said, "Whoever has the longest hand." So they started measuring their hands with a stick and Sauda's hand turned out to be the longest. (When Zainab bint Jahsh died first of all in the caliphate of `Umar), we came to know that the long hand was a symbol of practicing charity, so she was the first to follow the Prophet () and she used to love to practice charity. (Sauda died later in the caliphate of Muawiya).

(Trans Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol 2 Book 24 Hadith 501)

Zainab bint Jash was the wife who died after the Prophet (SAW).

Another prediction is that Ammar bin Yaser will be killed by the rebellious group.

Ammar bin Yasir was killed by the army of Muawiyya.

Umm Salamah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “The transgressing party will kill 'Ammar"

[Sahih Muslim (4/2236) No. 2916]

Narrated `Ikrima: that Ibn `Abbas told him and `Ali bin `Abdullah to go to Abu Sa`id and listen to some of his narrations; So they both went (and saw) Abu Sa`id and his brother irrigating a garden belonging to them. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by `Ammar and removed the dust off his head and said, "May Allah be merciful to `Ammar. He will be killed by a rebellious aggressive group. `Ammar will invite them to (obey) Allah and they will invite him to the (Hell) fire."

{Sahih Bukhari 2812 & Bukhari Vol 4 Book 52 Hadith 67}

MERIT # 32: HIS MANY MIRACLES

The greatest miracle of the Prophet (SAW) was the Qur'an.

It has all the subjects of life in it and is free from human error.

It is free from human interference.

There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.

(Al-An'am 6:38)

The Qur'an has no grammatical errors even though the Prophet (SAW) was illiterate.

Another miracle of the Rasul (SAW) is the splitting of the moon.

The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon). And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic."

(Al-Qamar 54:1-2)

The praying for the blind man is another miracle.

Uthman ibn Haneef was not the blind man; he was the sahaba who narrated the hadith.

Uthman ibn Haneef (RA) narrated: "A man who was blind came to the Prophet and requested him to pray to Allah that He may cure me of my blindness. He said, 'If you wish, but if you be patient, that is better for you.' He said that the Prophet (SAW) may pray for him. So, the Prophet (SAW) commanded him to make ablution and make it very well and pray in these words, 'O Allah, I ask you and plead to you through your Prophet Muhammad, Prophet of mercy, I plead by your virtue O my Lord, for my need, this one that it be granted to me. O Allah, accept his intercession for me.'"

[Tirmidhi 3589, Ibn Majah 1385, Ahmed 17240]

The blind man was cured of his blindness.

MERIT # 33: ALLAH NEVER CALLED HIM BY HIS NAME; ALLAH CALLED HIM BY HIS TITLE

Allah (SWT) called him by saying O Messenger of Allah and O Prophet of Allah.

Allah (SWT) didn't refer to him by saying Ya Muhammad.

As for Adam, Allah (SWT) called him by his name but not Muhammad (
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

O Prophet! Why do you ban (for yourself) that which Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Allah has already ordained for you (O men), the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector, etc.) and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

(At-Tahrim 66:1-2)

MERIT # 34: ALLAH USED THE THIRD PERSON PRONOUN TO CORRECT THE PROPHET

Allah (SWT) didn't correct him directly.

(The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, ('Abasa 80:1)

MERIT # 35: HE WAS PRONOUNCED A PROPHET BEFORE THE SOUL WAS BLOWN INTO ADAM

Adam was between body and spirit when Muhammad (
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was pronounced a prophet.

Meaning when Adam was is the state in which the soul was about to enter the body. [ 'Tuhfatul Ahwadhee bi Sharh Jaami at-Tirmidhee' (vol. 10, chpt. 'The virtues of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam)') of

{Al-Mubaarakfooree (d.1311)}

But this hadeeth is explained by the narration of at-Tirmidhee in which the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) was asked, "when was the Prophethood made obligatory for you" to which he replied, "while Adam was between the spirit and the body" [At-Tirmidhee chpt. 'The virtues of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam)' (vol. 10 of the commentary of al-Mubaarakfooree.)] Meaning when Adam was is the state in which the soul was about to enter the body.

[ 'Tuhfatul Ahwadhee bi Sharh Jaami at-Tirmidhee' (vol. 10, chpt. 'The virtues of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam)') of al-Mubaarakfooree (d.1311)]

words of ibn Taymiyyah, he refers to the following authentic hadeeth, "I was a prophet while Adam was between the spirit and body" narrated by at-Haakim and others

[See 'Silisilah as-Saheehah' of al-Albaanee (no. 1756) for detailed documentation.]

MERIT # 36: ALLAH MADE THE ROWS OF THE MUSLIMS LIKE THAT OF THE ANGELS

It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said:"The Messenger of Allah () came out to us and said:'Will you not form rows as the angels form rows before their Lord? They said: 'How do the angels form rows before their lord? He said: 'They complete the first row and fill the gaps in the rows."'

(Sunan an Nasa'i 816) [Grade Sahih]

If you keep your rows straight, Allah (SWT) will make it like that of the angels.

If your rows are crooked, your rows will become crooked.

MERIT # 37: WHEN YOU SAY AMEEN WHEN THE IMAM RECITES SURAH FATIHA, IF YOUR AMEEN COINCIDES WITH THAT OF THE ANGELS YOUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN

Abu Huraira narrated the Prophet (SAW) said, “When the Imam says ‘Ameen’, then you should all say ‘Ameen’, for the angels say ‘Ameen’ at that time, and he whose ‘Ameen’ coincides with the ‘Ameen’ of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven.”

[Al-Bukhari Vol: 1 Book 10 Chapter 110 (780) Vol 1 Book 12 Hadith 747 and Muslim (410)]

MERIT # 38: WE THE MUSLIMS WERE MADE A BALANCED NATION

Therefore you are in the middle between the Christians and the Jews.

Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) be a witness over you. And We made the Qiblah (prayer direction towards Jerusalem) which you used to face, only to test those who followed the Messenger (Muhammad) from those who would turn on their heels (i.e. disobey the Messenger). Indeed it was great (heavy) except for those whom Allah guided. And Allah would never make your faith (prayers) to be lost (i.e. your prayers offered towards Jerusalem). Truly, Allah is full of kindness, the Most Merciful towards mankind.

(Al-Baqarah 2:143)

The Christians worship Jesus and the Jews reject Jesus.

You are in the middle between the spiritualist and the materialist.

The spiritualist spends all his time in the masjid and doesn't feed his family.

The materialist spends all the time in his shop making money while he doesn't pray.

You are in the middle between the priest and the gigolo.

You are in the middle between the murji and the khawaarij.

The murji refuses to make takfeer even when the text is clear.

The khawaarij make takfeer on Muslims for committing major sins.

You can't make takfeer on someone for having 10 girlfriends.

There are two type of kufr: major and minor.

A sin ejects you out of the fold of Islam if it is major kufr.

When you don't classify knowledge, you are nothing but a headless chicken.

This is the plight of the khawaarij.

He doesn't classify knowledge.

MERIT # 39: ALLAH MADE THIS UMMAH WITNESSES OVER MANKIND

Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) be a witness over you.

MERIT # 40: THIS UMMAH WILL NEVER UNITE UPON AN ERROR

Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri:that the Messenger of Allah () said: "Beware of the believer's intuition, for indeed he sees with Allah's Light." Then he recited: Surely in this are signs for those who see (15:75).

[At-Tirmidhi Vol1 Book 44 Hadith 3127] [Grade: Da'if]

Anas bin Malik said:“I heard the Messenger of Allah () say: ‘My nation will not unite on misguidance, so if you see them differing, follow the great majority.’”

(Sunan ibn Majah Vol 1 Book 36 Hadith 3950) [Grade: Sahih]

MERIT # 41: THIS UMMAH WILL NEVER BE WIPED OUT BY AN ENEMY

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful. {Al Baqarah 2;143} Sahih International

MERIT # 42: THIS UMMAH WILL NEVER DROWN FROM A FLOOD

It was narrated that Mu’adh bin Jabal said:“The Messenger of Allah () prayed one day, and made the prayer lengthy. When he finished we said (or they said): ‘O Messenger of Allah, you made the prayer lengthy today.’ He said: ‘I offered a prayer of hope and fear. I asked Allah for three things for my nation, and He granted me two and refused one. I asked Him not to let my nation be destroyed by enemies from without, and He granted me that. And I asked Him not to let them be destroyed by drowning, and He granted me that. And I asked Him not to let them be destroyed by fighting among themselves, but He refused that.’”

[Sunan Ibn Majah Vol 5 Chapter 9 Book 36 Hadith 3951] [Grade: Sahih]

MERIT # 43: WHATSOEVER THE MUSLIMS SEE AS GOOD, ALLAH SEES AS GOOD; WHATSOEVER THE MUSLIMS SEE AS EVIL ALLAH SEES AS EVIL

Ibn Mas'ud (RA) said, "Whatever the Muslims see as good is good with Allah, Whatever the Muslims see as bad, Allah sees as bad."

[Mustadrak al-Haakim (3/83) No. 4465, classed as Sahih by Adh-Dhahabee]

MERIT # 44: THE SINS OF THE MUSLIMS WILL BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM AND PUT ON THE SCALES OF THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT

Allah (SWT) will send the Muslims to Paradise and dump the Jews and Christians in the hellfire.

A hadith Qudsi advocates; on the judgment day, the sins of Muslims will be put upon the backs of Jews & Christians, by the command of Allah, and these sinful Muslims as well as the righteous Muslims will all be admitted to the heaven by Allah’s order. pg 19

Narrated Abu Musa (RA) Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: On the Day of Resurrection, my Ummah (nation) will be gathered into three groups. one sort will enter Paradise without rendering an account (of their deeds). Another sort will be reckoned an easy account and admitted into Paradise. Yet another sort will come bearing on their backs heaps of sins like great mountains. Allah will ask the angels though He knows best about them: Who are these people? They will reply: They are humble slaves of yours. He will say: Unload the sins from them and put the same over the Jews and Christians; then let the humble slaves get into Paradise by virtue of My Mercy.

[Mustadrak al-Haakim (1/126) No. 193, Dhahabi mentions that this narration from Haakim is upon the conditions of al-Bukhari and Muslim]

MERIT # 45: ALLAH SWEARS BY HIS CITY

Allah (SWT) swears by Makkah because Muhammad (SAW) was born there and the kaaba is there.

Allah
(SWT) said the city of Makkah is safe.

I swear by this city (Makkah); (Al-Balad 90:1)

Allah (SWT) asks a question in the Quran.

Have they not seen that We have made (Makkah) a sanctuary secure, and that men are being snatched away from all around them? Then do they believe in Batil (falsehood - polytheism, idols and all deities other than Allah), and deny (become ingrate for) the Graces of Allah?

(Al-'Ankabut 29:67)

Allah (SWT) said can't you see that people are being abducted in other cities.

Makkah has been made a safe sanctuary.

MERIT # 46: ALLAH SWORE BY MUHAMMAD'S (SAWS) LIFE

Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly.

(Al-Hijr 15:72)

No one else had the honour of Allah swearing by his life.

MERIT # 47: NO MUSLIM CAN BE KILLED FOR THE SAKE OF A KAAFIR

If a Muslim kills a kaafir, he pays dia (blood money).

Amr ibn Shuayb reported from his father from his grandfather that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, ‘A Muslim may not be killed for an infidel.’ It is also reported through the same sanad that the diyat of a disbeliever is half that of a Believer.

[Tirmidhi 1418, Nisai 4821, Ahmed 6702]

You can't kill a Muslim for the sake of a kaafir.

It is haraam.

MERIT # 48: IT IS INCUMBENT ON YOU TO LOVE MUHAMMAD MORE THAN YOURSELF AND THE REST OF MANKIND

It was narrated that Anas said: The Prophet (SAW) said: “No one of you truly believes until I am dearer to him than his father, his son, his own self and all the people.”

[Narrated by al-Bukhari (15) and Muslim (44)]

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their ownselves, and his wives are their (believers') mothers (as regards respect and marriage). And blood relations among each other have closer personal ties in the Decree of Allah (regarding inheritance) than (the brotherhood of) the believers and the Muhajirun (emigrants from Makkah, etc.), except that you do kindness to those brothers (when the Prophet SAW joined them in brotherhood ties). This has been written in the (Allah's Book of Divine) Decrees (AlLauh AlMahfuz)."

(Al-Ahzab 33:6)

MERIT #49: AL ISRA WAL MIRAJ

Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) [above all that (evil) they associate with Him] [Tafsir Qurtubi, Vol. 10, Page 204] Who took His slave (Muhammad SAW) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the
neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad SAW) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer[].

(Al-Isra 17:1)

MERIT #50: ALLAH HAS FORGIVEN ALL OF HIS SINS FROM THE PAST AND THE FUTURE

Verily, We have given you (O Muhammad SAW) a manifest victory. (Al-Fath 48:1)

That Allah may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path; (Al-Fath 48:2)

These are the merits of Muhammad and his ummah.

MERIT # 51: IMAN IN MUHAMMAD IS IMAN IN ALLAH

Allah (SWT) took a covenant from all the previous prophets that they will believe in Muhammad (SAW).

And (remember) when Allah took the Covenant of the Prophets, saying: "Take whatever I gave you from the Book and Hikmah (understanding of the Laws of Allah, etc.), and afterwards there will come to you a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) confirming what is with you; you must, then, believe in him and help him." Allah said: "Do you agree (to it) and will you take up My Covenant (which I conclude with you)?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness; and I am with you among the witnesses (for this)."

(Aali Imran 3:81)
