TAFIR SURAH JINN

{THE JINNS ARE OF VARIOUS SECTS}

DARS ONE

This surah was revealed in Makkah.

AYAH 1:

قُلْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْآنًاعَجَبًا

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Qur'ân). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Qur'ân)!

(Al-Jinn 72:1)

This ayah has many benefits; the first is that the ayah is telling you that the Jinn are a creation of Allah (SWT).

They are a separate species from mankind.

They were created from smokeless fire.

The angels were created from light, jinns from smokeless fire, and mankind from clay.

Aisha reported that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: "The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for you (i.e. he is fashioned out of clay)."

[Sahih Muslim, Book 42, Chapter 12 Hadith #7134]

And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud.

(Al-Hijr 15:26) Sahih International

The other lesson is that the Jinn have the faculty of seeing and hearing.

And the Jinn eat, sleep, drink, get married and have kids just like us.

The only difference is that they live longer than we live and have supernatural powers as a test for them.

An Ifrit (strong) from the jinns said: "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work."

(An-Naml 27:39)

This is evidence that the Jinn are tested by supernatural power but many of them fail this test because they use the supernatural power to cause mischief on earth.

Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was sent to mankind and jinn; this is why the jinn said "we heard a wonderful recitation".

AYAH 2

يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا

It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allâh).

(Al-Jinn 72:2)

The other lesson is that the jinn know that shirk is wrong and they are able to differentiate right from wrong, they know that shirk is wrong.

The other lesson is that Jinn were given a free will to choose from right and wrong.

Angels, animals do not have a free will but man and jinn were both given a free will.

They made the decision to single out Allah (SWT) for worship to prove that the jinn have a free will in the following verse.

And (remember) when We said to the angels; "Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimun (polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc).

(Al-Kahf 18:50)

Iblees rebelled against his Lord.

The angels bow downed to Adam (AS) without rebelling because they have no free will.

Ibless rebelled against his lord because he was given free will to choose for himself.

The majority of men use their freewill to disobey Allah (SWT).

And if you obey most of those on earth, they will mislead you far away from Allah's Path. They follow nothing but conjectures, and they do nothing but lie.

(Al-An'am 6:116)

The majority people will always be evil and chose evil.

AYAH 3:
وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا

And exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife, nor a son (or offspring or children).

(Al-Jinn 72:3)

The infidels say that Allah (SWT) "beget" a son; begets mean to have intercourse.

Allah (SWT) said He does not have a wife nor a son to accuse Allah (SWT) of fathering a son is not a simple matter.

He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything.

(Al-An'am 6:101)

Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah)
To accuse Allah (SWT) of fathering a son is not a simple matters

But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children).

(Maryam 19:90-92)

AYAH 4:
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ شَطَطًا
'And that the foolish among us [i.e. Iblîs (Satan) or the polytheists amongst the jinns] used to utter against Allâh that which was wrong and not right.

(Al-Jinn 72:4)

There are from among jinn and mankind who are guilty of lying against Allah (SWT).

Who fight against the truth and they lie regarding Allah (SWT).

And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies - Shayatin (devils) among mankind and jinns, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion (or by way of deception). If your Lord had so willed, they would not have done it, so leave them alone with their fabrications.

(Al-An'am 6:112)

The enemies of the haqq can be found among the jinn and human beings.

The Jinns Admit to lying on Allah (SWT)

HOW DO PEOPLE LIE ON ALLAH (SWT)

1- They accuse Allah (SWT) of begetting a son like the Christians claim.

2- They accuse Allah (SWT) of having partners.

Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them.

(Al-Ma'idah 5:73)

3- They claim that Allah (SWT) appeared on earth in the form of a man like the Christians claim.

The Nation of Islam (NOI) say Allah (SWT) appeared in the form of Farad Muhammad.

This man used to sell drugs and he was arrested, finger printed, his mug shot was taken by the police.

It is not given to any human being that Allah should speak to him unless (it be) by Inspiration, or from behind a veil, or (that) He sends a Messenger to reveal what He wills by His Leave. Verily, He is Most High, Most Wise.

(Ash-Shura 42:51)

The Nation of Islam and Christians lie on Allah (SWT).

4- They describe Allah (SWT) with words that are not appropriate.

For example, the Jews say Allah (SWT) is poorbut they are rich

Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!" We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire)."

(Aali Imran 3:181)

Another example christain who claim that Allah (SWT) repented that He made man.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

(Genesis 6:6) King James Version

5- They cast doubt of existence of Allah (SWT).

The agnostic is an atheist who is a coward.

6- The atheist who deny the existence of his Creator.

7- The pantheist (pan means all) says "everything is Allah and that there is no difference between the creation and Creator" (So pantheists lie on Allah (SWT) as well)
They claim snake, the elephate, everything is Allah (SWT)

8- The Sufi Says: "Allah (SWT) is everywhere" because he believes in "Wahdat al Wujjud" which is the notion of oneness of being.

They believe that Allah (SWT) possess them and they become Allah (SWT).

9- People also lie on Allah (SWT) by stating it is minor kufr to dismantle the sharia.

- This is the Aqeeda of the Saudi Salafis. (Madkhalis)

"Be you not exalted against me, but come to me as Muslims (true believers who submit to Allah with full submission)'"

(An-Naml 27:31)

10- Giving your imams the attributes of Allah (SWT)

This is the plight of the shady Shia.

They claim that "the universe is subservient to our imams".

AYAH 4

وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ شَطَطًا
'And that the foolish among us [i.e. Iblîs (Satan) or the polytheists amongst the jinns] used to utter against Allâh that which was wrong and not right

(Al-Jinn 72:4)

And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression.

The Peak of wisdom is to fear Allah (SWT)

Sufyan Ath-Thawri from Abdur Rahman Bin Abbas said Ayas Abu Yahya related to me from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (RA) he used to say in his sermon

"The best provision is piety and the peak of wisdom is to fear Allah".

[Bayhaqi in Sha'ab al Imaan (1/470) and Sunan al-Kubra]

When a person is a fool, they always have a wrong Aqeeda.

Whenever Allah (SWT) wants good for you, He gives you the proper understanding of the deen.

Narrated Muaiwiya Abi sufyan delivering a sermon: He said: i Heard the prophet saying: If Allah desires good for someone, He bestows on him. the gift of understanding of the Qur'an and Sunnah {deen}. i am only a distributor, and Allah is the Giver.

(Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 92 Hadith 415}

AYAH 5:
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن تَقُولَ الْإِنسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا
'And verily, we thought that men and jinns would not utter a lie against Allâh

(Al-Jinn 72:5)

They did not realize that man and Jinn would utter lies about Allah (SWT) because it’s a great evil but when people are evil, they can’t control their tongue and their private parts.

When people don't have taqwa they can't control their tongue and their private parts.

The worst liar is the one who lies on Allah (SWT)

When you lie on Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), you lie on Allah (SWT) because Muhammad is the massenger of Allah (SWT)

Hadith is wahi (Revelation)

AYAH 6:
وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا
'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.

(Al-Jinn 72:6)

Since the jinn are blessed with supernatural powers, their world is mysterious and intriguing.

Why men take shelter with the Jinns? because these men are insecure. They think that if they are able to subdue the Jinns, they will be able to elevate themselves among other men. And seek fame and fortune.

It’s all about fame and fortunes because the jinn have supernatural powers, so there are men who have the jinn work for them because they are insecure.

But Allah (SWT) said the Jinn only increase them in sin and transgression

Because the Jinn will not work for you unless you commit Kufr and shirk

You have to give you Wala (allegiance), your soul to their master Iblis

If you don’t give your soul to Iblis, the Jinn will never work for you

They Jinn will demand you have to give your soul to our master

Who is their master - Iblis

If you don’t give your soul to Iblees, they will never work for you.

Since they can travel far distance in seconds, magicians see them as great assets.

The Jinn they are of various types.

The same way you have Muslims, kufar and hypocrites.

You have the same types among the jinn.

There are three types of jinn: Muslims, kufar, and hypocrites.

When Allah (SWT) said they took shelter with the Jinns, it means they seek help from the Jinns

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said that the jinn go up to the heaven and listen to the secret conversations of the angels.

Then they come back to earth and mix one truth with 100 lies.

'Urwa reported from 'A'isha that she said that people asked Allah's Messenger () about the kahins. Allah's Messenger () said to them: It is nothing (i. e. it is a mere superstition). They said: Allah's Messenger, they at times narrate to us things which we find true. Thereupon Allah's Messenger () said: That is a word pertaining to truth, which a jinn snatches away and then cackles into the ear of his friend as the hen does. And then they mix in it more than one hundred lies.

[Sahih Muslim Book 26 Chapter 33 Hadith: 5536]

The soothsayers, magicians, fortune tellers, palm readers, all seek help from the Jinns

When Allah (SWT) said they sought shelter from the Jinns, they only increased them in sin and transgression, what did He mean

If the Jinn possess someone, the jinn will only leave if the kafir will say "in the name of Jesus".

By the Jinn getting out of the body of the person, he cause 1000 people in the convention to believe Jesus is God.

This is why Allah (SWT) said the Jinn only increases them in sin and transgression

Because the Jinn will work for you if you dabble in shirk

The Jinn were on earth before us.

Ibn Kathir said they were on earth 2000 years before us in his book "Al Bidaya wal Nihaya".

AYAH 7:
وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ أَحَدًا
'And they thought as you thought, that Allâh will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinns).

(Al-Jinn 72:7)

Mankind and jinn are similar in their mentality. Sometimes they think alike

The reason is because we have a free will.

We have sexual needs, need for food, to drink, to sleep, etc.

Because they are similar they work with each other and work for each other.

However, Allah (SWT) did not create man and jinn for any reason, except to worship Him Allah (SWT)

And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone).

(Adh-Dhariyat 51:56)

In the above mentioned ayah, Allah (SWT) mentions Jinn first, because they were on earth 2000 years before us.

 AYAH 8:
وَشُهُبًا وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَاءَ فَوَجَدْنَاهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا
'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.

(Al-Jinn 72:8)

Why is Allah (SWT) guarding the heavens?

The stars are used as missiles to stop the Jinn from eavesdropping on the conversation of the angels.

And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire.

(Al-Mulk 67:5)

THE STARS WERE CREATED FOR THREE REASONS:

1- To guide you at night.

2- To beautify the heavens.

3- To use the stars as missiles to burn up the shayateen when they listen to the secret conversations of the angels.

Qutadah said: [And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps. (Al-Mulk 67:5)] Allah created these stars for three purposes, i.e. as decoration of the sky, as missiles to hit the devils, and as signs to guide travellers. So, if anybody tries to find a different interpretation, he is mistaken and just wastes his efforts in seeking something of which he has no knowledge."

[Sahih Bukhari, Baab fi’l-Nujoom (4/107)]

AYAH 9:

'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.

(Al-Jinn 72:9)

Allah (SWT) declared an all out war on the Jinn after the advent of the Rasul (SAW)

Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). And to guard against every rebellious devil. They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness.

(As-Saffat 37:6-10)

Not all the Jinn were stopped, some of them got away.

The jinns that get away are the ones the pass on the information to magicians, palm readers, fortune tellers, diviners

Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), said “Whoever comes to a fortune-teller and believes him has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)”.

[Musnad Ahmad (Vol. 2, pg. 429) No. 9532 and Mustadrak al-Hakim (Vol. 1, pg. 49) No. 15]

Narrated Safiyyah, daughter of Abu `Ubaid, on the authority of some of the wives of the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) who said, "He who goes to one who claims to tell about matters of the Unseen and believes in him, his Salat (prayers) will not be accepted for forty days.''

[Muslim Chapter 303 from Imam Al-Nawawi's Riyad-us-Saliheen].

AYAH 10:
وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِي أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا
'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path.

(Al-Jinn 72:10)

The jinn are saying we don’t know the future, we don’t have any knowledge of Ilm al ghaib. Not even the prophet Muhammad (SAW) had the knowledge of Ilm al ghaib

Here the jinn are admitting that they have the knowledge of the unseen. The knowledge of the unseen belongs to Allah (SWT)

The prophet Muhammad (SAW) was told to tell the people he doesn’t have knowledge of unseen in surah 7:118

However the evil shias claim that their imams are infallible and that they have knowledge of the unseen.

Say (O Muhammad SAW) : "I possess no power of benefit or hurt to myself except as Allah wills. If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib (unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth, and no evil should have touched me. I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings unto people who believe."

(Al-A'raf 7:188)

AYAH 11:
وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الصَّالِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ كُنَّا طَرَائِقَ قِدَدًا
'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.).

(Al-Jinn 72:11)

The same way humans developed into different religious groups, the jinn are different groups
They are of three dimensions: Muslim, kufar, and hypocrite.

The Jinns are also of these three dimensions

The Jinns possess people

The scholars use surah 2:275 to prove that Jinn possess people. This is used to checkmate the Mutazilites who claim that Jinns don’t possess people

Those who eat Riba (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Shaitan (Satan) leading him to insanity. That is because they say: "Trading is only like Riba (usury)," whereas Allah has permitted trading and forbidden Riba (usury). So whosoever receives an admonition from his Lord and stops eating Riba (usury) shall not be punished for the past; his case is for Allah (to judge); but whoever returns [to Riba (usury)], such are the dwellers of the Fire - they will abide therein.

(Al-Baqarah 2:275)

The above mentioned verse was used by scholars to prove that the jinn possess people.

‘Abd-Allah ibn al-Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: “I said to my father, ‘There are some people who say that the jinn do not enter the body of the epileptic.’ He said: ‘O my son, they are lying; the jinn could speak through this person.’” Commenting on this, Ibn Qudamah said: “What he said is well known, because a person may suffer an epileptic seizure and speak in a language that no one understands, and his body may be beaten with blows that would fell a camel, but the epileptic does not feel them at all, and he is also unaware of the words he is saying.

It is a reality not a fantasy

The prophet (SAW) said the shaitaan runs in our veins the way blood runs in our veins. So it is possible for the Jinn to possess people

Jabir narrated that The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Do not enter upon Al-Mughibar (the women whose husband are absent), for indeed the Shaitan flows through one of you as the blood flows.” We said: “And you?” He said: “And me, but Allah helped me over him, so I am safe.”

{Jami at-Tirmidhi Vol. 1, Book 7, Hadith 1172 [Hasan]}

The scholars of Ahlu sunnah wal Jama’h believe Jinns possesses people.

It’s only the Mutazila who beg to differ.

We can take some aspect of Fiqh from them but not Aqeeda.

Don’t go to homes where husbands are not there because the shaitaan runs in our veins the way blood runs in our veins.

THE REASONS WHY THE JINN POSSESS PEOPLE:

REASON: 1- YOU HARM A JINN ACCIDENTALLY.

For example you urinate in a stone hole where he lives and he thought that you did it deliberately.

So he possess you to take revenge

Qatadah related from 'Abdullah ibn Sarjas who said, "The Messenger of Allah forbade urination into a hole." Said Qatadah, "What is disliked about urinating into a hole?" Said he, "It is the residence of the jinn."

[related by Ahmad, an-Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, al-Hakim and al-Baihaqi. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn as-Sakin classified it as sahih]

REASON: 2- A JINN FALLS IN LOVE WITH YOU

You didn’t harm the Jinn but its bend on mischief

REASON: 3- A JINN IS WICKED AND IS BENT ON MISCHIEF.

REASON: 4- A JINN WORKS WITH A MAGICIAN, AND THE MAGICIAN DISPATCHES THE JINN TO POSSESS YOU AND YOU HAVE TO PAY HIM TO REMOVE THE JINN.

This is how the magician makes his money

AYAH 12:
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا
'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allâh in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight.

(Al-Jinn 72:12)

They will never be able to escape punishment of Allah {SWT} even though they can travel place to place in seconds, they can’t escape Allah {SWT}.

He is al qadr. The ONE WHO HAS the power over all things.

They can’t escape Allah’s punishment, neither in the Dunya nor the akhira.

 AYAH 13:

تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ
'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Qur'ân), we believed therein (Islâmic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins.

(Al-Jinn 72:13)

When you are an infidel, you suffer from grief.

Because you have imaan you have self contentment

When you are a believer, no fear shall you have nor shall you grieve because of your faith

When you are unbeliever, you life is filled with fear and grieve

When you are a believer your heart finds contentment

The believers find contentment in dikhr.

Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.

(Ra'd 13:28)

TAFSIR SURAH AL JINN:

THE JINNS HAD THEIR OWN MESSENGERS
DARS TWO

07 March 2014 / 06 Jumad- Al-Awwal 1435 Hijri

- The last time we were here, we stopped at ayah 14.

AYAH 14:
 وَأَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ ۖ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا

'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allâh, after listening to this Qur'ân), and of us some are Al-Qâsitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islâm (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allâh), then such have sought the Right Path."

(Al-Jinn 72:14)

- This ayah is telling you that jinns are of various religious persuasions.

- The jinns said that some of them are Muslims who submitted to Allah (SWT) and some of them are kaafirs.

- Ath-Thaqalain (man and jinn) are given free will.

- Some of us use our free will to embrace Islam and submit to Allah (SWT); others use it to rebel against Allah (SWT).

And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on earth." They said: "Will You place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood, - while we glorify You with praises and thanks (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners) and sanctify You." He (Allah) said: "I know that which you do not know."

(Al-Baqarah 2:30)

- How could the angels speak with such certainty that man would spread mischief and shed blood on earth?

- The scholars of Islam answered this question.

- The answer is that the angels used qiyaas (analogy).

- The angels are saying that the jinn were created with free will and they used it to spread mischief and shed blood so man will do the same thing.

- When Allah (SWT) said "I know that which you do not know" it means even though a lot of men will spread mischief and shed blood, you will have amongst them siddiqoon, mujahideen and shuhada.

- You will have great scholars too like Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Imam Malik.

- Allah (SWT) won't abandon man; Allah (SWT) will reveal book after book and send prophet after prophet.

- Muhammad al-Fateh conquered Turkey at the age of 19 in 1453.

- The angels said man will spread mischief and shed blood because they used qiyaas by looking at the jinn.

- The jinns had their own messengers.

- The evidence for this is Surah 6:130.

- Allah (SWT) told us that he sent messengers to mankind as well as jinnkind.

O you assembly of jinns and mankind! "Did not there come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

(Al-An'am 6:130)

- The jinns had their messengers just like we did.

- The messenger Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was sent to both mankind and jinnkind.

- Many scholars are of the opinion that you are allowed to marry a jinn, especially the mutazilites.

- We do not accept this fatwa.

- The great scholar of Islam, Qurtubi, refuted this argument.

- He used Surah 30:21 as his evidence.

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.

(Ar-Rum 30:21)

- The jinns are made of smokeless fire so they have to possess somebody before they can have intercourse with you.

Aisha reported that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: "The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for you (i.e. he is fashioned out of clay)."

[Sahih Muslim, Book 42, Hadith #7134]

- Jinns are hot tempered. If you upset a jinn, they could kill you.

Because they are made from smokeless fire.

- A marriage in the Islamic state can only be between a man and a woman.

And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice.

(An-Nisa 4:3)

A man came to Jerry Springer and said he is married to a horse, in the Islamic state he would have been killed. Because he confessed.

A marriage in the Islamic state has to be between a man and a woman

Marriage between a man and an animal, you will be killed

Marriage between a man and a man, you will be killed

Marriage between a man and a jinn will have to be annulled

If a man for example got married to a female jinn, he would have to subdue the Jinn

- A man married to another man will be killed and a man married to an animal will be killed.

- Only Prophet Sulaiman (AS) was allowed to subdue the jinn.

- The reason why you can't find a verse or hadith to stop you from marrying a jinn, is because you are weak in tawheed.

Because surah Ar-rum verse  21 says you should marry your own kind

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.

(Ar-Rum 30:21)

As for evidence from hadith, the prophet (S.A.W) said a Jinn came in front of him and he caught him. He was about to tie him so the children of medinah would play with him when he remembered the dua of prophet Sulaiman. Hadith below;

Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet said, "A strong demon from the Jinns came to me yesterday suddenly, so as to spoil my prayer, but Allah enabled me to overpower him, and so I caught him and intended to tie him to one of the pillars of the Mosque so that all of you might see him, but I remembered the invocation of my brother Solomon: 'And grant me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me.' (38.35) so I let him go cursed."

[Sahih Bukhari]

Only Sulaiman was allowed to subdue the Jinn

- Some people believe jinns are not real and it is just a state of mind. They are a separate entity.

- This argument is ridiculous.

- The jinns will enter Paradise and they will deflower the virgins of Paradise.

- The evidence for this is Surah 55:56.

Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.

(Ar-Rahman 55:56)

- The women of Paradise only fancy their husbands.

- They only look at their husbands.

- The women of dunya check out other men and some of them run away with other men.

- The scholars use the above verse to say jinns will enter Paradise and indulge in intercourse just like humans.

- So the argument of those who say jinns are not real is very weak.

And (remember) when We sent towards you (Muhammad SAW) Nafran (three to ten persons) of the jinns, (quietly) listening to the Qur'an, when they stood in the presence thereof, they said: "Listen in silence!" And when it was finished, they returned to their people, as warners. They said: "O our people! Verily! We have heard a Book (this Qur'an) sent down after Musa (Moses), confirming what came before it, it guides to the truth and to a Straight Path (i.e. Islam)O our people! Respond (with obedience) to Allah's Caller (i.e. Allah's Messenger Muhammad SAW), and believe in him (i.e. believe in that which Muhammad SAW has brought from Allah and follow him). He (Allah) will forgive you of your sins, and will save you from a painful torment (i.e. Hell-fire).

(Al-Ahqaf 46:29-31)

- The jinns are a separate creation just like us and they shall be held accountable for what they do in the dunya just like us.

The prophet (S.A.W) said in a hadith, in Medina they are Jinns
So if you see a snake in your house don’t be quicj to kill it because it may be a muslim Jinn. Say ‘audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem ‘three times and allow it to leave. If it doesn’t then kill it.

- The jinns appear in various forms.

- They appear in human form as well as in the form of birds, black dogs, snakes, black cats, etc.

- If a black dog, a donkey or a woman who has reached puberty walks in front of you during salah, it breaks your salah.

The shahabas said what about the white dog, brown dog? The prophet (S.A.W) said the black dog is the shaitan

- The black dog is a shaitaan.

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: The messenger of Allah() said: "When anyone of you stands to pray, then he is screened if he has in front of him something as high as the back of a camel saddle. If he does not have something as high as the back of a camel saddle in front of him, then his prayer is nullified by a woman, a donkey or a black dog." I (one of the narrators)said: "What is the difference between a black dog, a yellow one and a red one?" He said: I asked the Messenger of Allah () just like you and he said:"The black dog is a shaitan."

{Sunan An Nasai: 750 & Book 9 hadith 751} & {Book 9 Hadith 9}

The shaitaan like to possess the black dog or the black cat

- The shaitaan appears in human form too.

- Whenever the scholars talk about this, they quote the famous hadith of Abu Huraira (RA).

- The shaitaan can see angels.

- This is by the will of Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) willed it to happen.

And (remember) when Shaitan (Satan) made their (evil) deeds seem fair to them and said, "No one of mankind can overcome you this Day (of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am your neighbour (for each and every help)." But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he ran away and said "Verily, I have nothing to do with you. Verily! I see what you see not. Verily! I fear Allah for Allah is Severe in punishment."

(Al-Anfal 8:48)

- Shaitan ran away because he saw the angels.

- He saw the angel Gabriel coming with 1000 angels to fight with the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). at the battle of Badr.

- The scholars of Islam use this verse to prove the shaitaan can see angels.

- How can you see angels and still be a kaafir?

- The shaitaan can cause you to have diabetes, meningitis, tuberculosis, cancer, etc or whatever disease that is out there.

- A childhood friend climbed a tree six months ago and had epilepsy in the tree and he fell and broke this neck and died.

Epilepsy can be from the shaitaan

There are two types of epilepsy; symptomatic (clear symptoms) and idiomatic (the real is not clear

- This epilepsy is symptomatic.

- Idiomatic epilepsy means the reason for the epilepsy cannot be diagnosed by a doctor.

- Ibn Taymiyyah said that idiomatic epilepsy is from the shaitaan.

- All these diseases that people have are all from Iblees.

- He declared war on us and one of his strategies is to use all these diseases.

Those who eat Riba (usury) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a erson beaten by Shaitan (Satan) leading him to insanity.

- Ibn Abbas (RA) used this verse to say epilepsy can be from Iblees.

The other Qur'anic verse to prove to you that diseases such as diabetes, meningitis, tuberculosis and cancer are from Iblees is Surah 38:41.

And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying) : "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)!

(Sad 38:41)

- Prophet Ayyub (AS) became very sick and he blamed Iblees for it.

- This is the evidence used by the scholars to say that the shaitaan can destroy your health.

- So the satan is behind the suffering of many people who have illnesses.

- The shaitaan inspires people with evil thoughts.

Verily, those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2), when an evil thought comes to them from Shaitan (Satan), they remember (Allah), and (indeed) they then see (aright).

(Al-A'raf 7:201)

- When you have thoughts to drink alcohol and commit zina, they are from the shaitaan.

- You should say ‘audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem’ and make dhikr.

- It is only by the dhikr of Allah (SWT), you can protect yourself against the waswasa of the shaitaan.

Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.

(Ra'd 13:28)

- The following two verses are evidence that evil thoughts are from the shaitaan.

"I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given all things that could be possessed by any ruler of the earth, and she has a great throne. "I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah, and Shaitan (Satan) has made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and has barred them from (Allah's) Way, so they have no guidance,"

(An-Naml 27:23-24)

- Even a bird understands that evil thoughts are from the Satan.

- When the kuffar think they know about animal psychology, we can teach them about it.

- Any subject we can think of is inside the Qur'an.

There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.

(Al-An'am 6:38)

- This includes anthropology, criminology, animal psychology, animal science, oceanography, etc.

- In Ramadan, the evil jinns are in chains.

- It is a great barakah for you to be born in Ramadan.

- Whenever a child is born, the Shaitan is there; he touches the child and causes it to cry.

Narrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab: Abu Huraira said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'No child is born but that, Satan touches it when it is born whereupon it starts crying loudly because of being touched by Satan, except Mary and her son." Abu Huraira then said, "Recite, if you wish: "And I seek Refuge with You (Allah) for her and her offspring from Satan, the outcast." (3.36)

[Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 71 ] {Sahih al-Bukhari 3431 Vol. 4, Book 55, Hadith 641}

- The shaitaan doesn't give up.

- Satan and his henchmen have a profound influence over some people.

- The wife of Imran was terrified of the shaitaan affecting her offspring.

Then when she delivered her [child Maryam (Mary)], she said: "O my Lord! I have delivered a female child," - and Allah knew better what she delivered, - "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I seek refuge with You (Allah) for her and for her offspring from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast." (Aali Imran 3:36)

- Surah Baqarah drives away the shaitaan.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do not make your houses as graveyards. Satan runs away from the house in which Surah Baqara is recited.
[Muslim Book 004, Hadith Number 1707]

Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir: that the Prophet () said: "Indeed Allah wrote in a book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and He sent down two Ayat from it to end Surat Al-Baqarah with. If they are recited for three nights in a home, no Shaitan shall come near it."
[Jami At Tirmidhi Vol: 1 Book 42 Hadith 2882 & Book 45 Hadith 3124]

- The jinns like to live in abandoned homes and stone holes.

Said Qatadah, "What is disliked about urinating into a hole?" Said he, "It is the residence of the jinn."

[related by Ahmad, an-Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, al-Hakim and al-Baihaqi. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn as-Sakin classified it as sahih]

- They like to live in deserts.

- Before you live in a house that was abandoned, you should read Surah Baqarah in the house or play it.

- The jinns have an advantage over us in the sense that they can see us but we can't see them.

O Children of Adam! Let not Shaitan (Satan) deceive you, as he got your parents [Adam and Hawwa (Eve)] out of Paradise, stripping them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and Qabiluhu (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, We made the Shayatin (devils) Auliya' (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not.

(Al-A'raf 7:27)

- They like to look at the private parts of people.

- Before you enter the toilet you should say:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَاﺋِﺚِ

Allahumma innee a’uuthubika minal khubthi wal khabaa'ith.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from all evil, and evil doers.

- Some jinns work for fortune tellers.

- They listen to the conversations in the heavens and they mix one truth with a hundred lies.

Safiyya reported from some of the wives of Allah's Apostle () Allah's Apostle () having said: He who visits a diviner ('Arraf (Fortune teller)) and asks him about anything, his prayers extending to forty nights will not be accepted.

{Sahih Muslim 2230 & Muslim Book 26 Chapter 33 Hadith 5540}

“Whoever goes to a soothsayer or fortune-teller and believes what he says has disbelieved in that which was releaved to Muhammed (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).”

(Abu Dawud in his Sunan with a Saheeh Isnaad)

- The world of the jinn is fascinating so Hollywood cash in on it.

- The film called The Exorcist was a huge hit because people find it fascinating.

- Exorcisim can be sunnah muakkada or fard.

- You should help your brother whether he is an oppressor or oppressed.

- If the person who is possessed is a Muslim, it is fard on you to help him.

Narrated By Anas: Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed," A man said, "O Allah's Apostle! I will help him if he is oppressed, but if he is an oppressor, how shall I help him?" The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, "By preventing him from oppressing (others), for that is how to help him."

[Sahih Bukhari (9/22) No. 6952]

- If the person is a kaafir, no one can say it is fard for you to help him.

- The exorcist can charge to recite over the possessed.

- People all over the world charge money for exorcism.

- Many people think they are doing haraam but they are not.

- It is permissible for you to recite over a person who is possessed and that is the only way to cure a person of possession.

- To use one jinn to fight another jinn is haraam.

- This is because this person is subduing the jinns and only Prophet Sulaiman (AS) is allowed to subdue the jinns.

- If the jinn works for you without you soliciting the help, you are not guilty.

- For you to ask the jinn for help and subdue the jinn, that is haraam.

- If you are fixing your car and the car fell on you and a Muslim jinn lifted the car to help, you didn't do anything wrong.

- The jinns will work with you if you are prepared to commit major shirk.

THE FOUR REASONS WHY JINNS POSSESS PEOPLE

REASON # 1: TO TAKE REVENGE

- Maybe you harmed the jinn inadvertently.

- Maybe you urinated in a stone hole where he lives and he thinks you are messing around.

REASON # 2: THE JINN FELL IN LOVE WITH YOU

- Ibn Taymiyyah gave us this reason.

REASON # 3: THE JINN IS WICKED AND MISCHIEVOUS

- He possesses you to oppress you.

REASON # 4: THE JINN WORKS FOR A MAGICIAN

- The magician dispatches the jinn to possess you.

- Then you have to pay the magician money to get rid of the jinn.

- This is how the magician makes money.

- Whenever the jinn possesses someone and the exorcist asks the jinn to leave in the name of Jesus, the jinn will leave.

- The jinn leaves to convince everyone at the symposium that Jesus is God.

- Jinns will leave the body either with Tawheed or with shirk.

- You overpower the jinn with Tawheed or he leaves voluntarily when he hears shirk.

- Muslims are not allowed to use shirk for their exorcism.

- Muslims are only allowed to use Tawheed.

- You are only allowed to use a qualified exorcist who uses Tawheed.

- It is haraam to approach someone who uses shirk to exorcise.

- The jinns job is to mislead so sometimes jinns possess idols.

- For example you had Hanuman and Ganesh drinking milk.

- Hanuman is the monkey god and Ganesh is the elephant god.

- This created a sensation approximately 15 years ago.

- Lifeless statues were drinking milk.

- Jinns possessed idols to make Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs go deeper in their kufr.

- Even we Muslims got carried away with Ganesh, the elephant drinking milk.

- Weak Muslims got carried away because they didn't realize jinns possessed the idols to mislead people.

- These people are masaakeen in Tawheed.

- These jinns are assets for magicians.

- They can travel long distances in short periods of time.

- All of you have a companion from the angels and a companion from the jinns.

- The Qareen is a companion.

Abdullah b. Mas'ud reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: There is none amongst you with whom is not an attached from amongst the jinn (devil). They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, with you too? Thereupon he said: Yes, but Allah helps me against him and so I am safe from his hand and he does not command me but for good.

{Muslim Book 39 Chapter 14 Hadith 6757}

- Sometimes the jinn scare people.

- They give people nightmares.

- Sometimes they take on the form of your dead grandmother or relative who you buried a week ago to make you become delusional.

- This is one of their famous games that they play with people.

- When the dajjal comes, he is going to go to a farm and ask where the cows are. The farmer will say the cows have died because of the drought.

- The dajjal will ask the farmer if he will believe in the dajjal if he brings the cows back to life. The farmer will say yes.

- Then the jinns will take the form of the cows.

- NATO seeks the help of jinns to tell them where the mujahideen are.

- Whenever you get a bad dream you should say a’udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem, spit three times and change your position.

- The bad dream is from the shaitaan.

- Haste and anger are from the shaitaan.

Sahl ibn Sa’d Sa’idi reported that Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Deliberation is from Allah, but haste is from the devil”. [Sunan Tirmidhi (4/367) No. 2012]

When you are angry, you should make wudu to calm down.

Narrated Atiyyah as-Sa'di: AbuWa'il al-Qass said: We entered upon Urwah ibn Muhammad ibn as-Sa'di. A man spoke to him and made him angry. So he stood and performed ablution; he then returned and performed ablution, and said: My father told me on the authority of my grandfather Atiyyah who reported the Messenger of Allah () as saying: Anger comes from the devil, the devil was created of fire, and fire is extinguished only with water; so when one of you becomes angry, he should perform ablution.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 4784) [Da'if]

- When you go to some churches, you will hear women speaking in tongues you've never heard before. They'll say they are possessed by the Holy Spirit.

- They are possessed by jinns. This is why they are speaking in tongues you haven't heard before.

- They are speaking in languages which are not comprehensible.

AYAH 15:
وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا

And as for the Qâsitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell,

(Al-Jinn 72:15)

- This proves that hellfire will be filled with ath-thaqalain (man and jinn) because these were the two creations that were given free will but they used it for bad.

AYAH 16:
وَأَن لَّوِ اسْتَقَامُوا عَلَى الطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَاهُم مَّاءً غَدَقًا

If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allâh, and went on the Right Way (i.e. Islâm) We should surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in abundance.

(Al-Jinn 72:16)

- The above mentioned ayah proves that our kufr, shirk and sins can cause drought in the land.

- Prophet Noah (AS) said the exact same thing to his people.

"I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; 'He will send rain to you in abundance; 'And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.' "

(Nuh 71:10-12)

- This proves to you that sins can cause poverty.

It was narrated from Thawban that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Nothing increases one's life span except righteousness and nothing repels the Divine decree except supplication, and a man may be deprived of provision by a sin that he commits."'

[Sunan Ibn Majah (Arabic/English), Vol 5, pg224-225, Hadith #4022]

- The poorest country in the West is Haiti.

- The religion of the country is vodoo (black magic).

AYAH 17:
صَعَدًا لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن يُعْرِضْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا
That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Qur'ân, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell).

(Al-Jinn 72:17)

AYAH 18:
وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا
And the mosques are for Allâh (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allâh.

(Al-Jinn 72:18)

- The masjid is the house of Allah (SWT).

- Whenever a masjid is used to practice shirk, it is no longer a masjid.

- It has become a temple.

- If a group of brothers take back the masjid and turn it back in to the house of Allah (SWT), it can become a masjid again.

You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).

(Al-Fatihah 1:5)

- Allah (SWT) talked about some masjid which was built by hypocrites to spread kufr.

And as for those who put up a mosque by way of harming and disbelief, and to disunite the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) aforetime, they will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good. Allah bears witness that they are certainly liars.

(At-Tawbah 9:107)

- The above mentioned ayah proves that not everyone who built a masjid has the right intentions.

- Some people built a masjid to spread fitnah.

- They build masjids to preach hislam not Islam.

AYAH 19:
وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا

(It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allâh (Muhammad SAW) stood up invoking (his Lord Allâh) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation).

(Al-Jinn 72:19)

- This proves that the jinns are zealous about learning the haqq.

- The jinns crowded the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to listen to him.

AYAH 20:

قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا

Say (O Muhammad SAW) : "I invoke only my Lord (Allâh Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him."

(Al-Jinn 72:20)

- The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was commanded to tell people that he only invokes Allah (SWT).

- To invoke the graves is major shirk because your dua is ibadah.

- Since dua is ibadah, when you invoke others besides Allah (SWT), it makes you become a mushrik.

Nu’man ibn Bashir (RA) narrated the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “The supplication is itself worship.” Then he recited. And your Lord says, “Call upon Me, and I shall answer you. Surely those who are too arrogant to worship Me, they shall enter Hell, disgraced.” (40: 60) [Tirmidhi (5/456) No. 3372, Abu Dawud (2/76) No. 1479, Ibn Majah (5/5) No. 3828, Ahmad (4/271) No. 18410]

- Shiites, Sufis and Barelvis are the grave worshippers of the ummah.

- There is an ayah to refute and checkmate the grave worshippers.

- The ayah is Surah 35:14.

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad SAW) like Him Who is the AllKnower (of each and everything).

(Fatir 35:14)

- This ayah is the knockout punch for the grave worshippers of the ummah.

- Allah (SWT) called the people who invoke graves grave worshippers in the above ayah.

- They don't want to admit that they are grave worshippers in spite of this.

AYAH 21:
 قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا
Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to the Right Path."

(Al-Jinn 72:21)

- The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) saw his uncle die a kaafir because only Allah (SWT) can guide.

Verily! You (O Muhammad SAW) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided.

(Al-Qasas 28:56)

- When the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was devastated, Allah (SWT) revealed Surah 28:56.

- Guidance is in the Hands of Allah (SWT) because Allah (SWT) is Al-Haadi.

"And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)."

(Ya-Sin 36:17)

- Your job is to give the message and nothing else.

- Only Allah (SWT) can guide.

                                                        Tafseer Surah Jinn

                                                  {Only Allah knows the Ghaib}
DARS THREE

MARCH 09 2014 / 08 JUM AL AWWAL 1435 HIJRI

We are explaining Ayah 22 of Surah Jinn

AYAH 22

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "None can protect me from Allâh's punishment (if I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him.

(Al-Jinn 72:22)

Allah (SWT) is saying some men use protection of jinn protection

And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.

(Al-Jinn 72:6)

Allah (SWT) says some people that go to the jinn for shelter, refuge and protection.

Here Allah (SWT) is saying the only protection shelter and refuge is with Allah (SWT) not the jinn

Because to have Jinn working for you was exclusive only to Prophet Sulaiman (AS)

Sulaiman's (AS) dua for a kingdom was answered

He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower."So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed,

(Sad 38:35-36)

The wind was subjected to Sulaiman (AS)

And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, And also others bound in fetters [Saying of Allah to Sulaiman (Solomon)]: "This is Our gift, so spend you or withhold, no account will be asked."

 (Sad 38:37-39)

It is inappropriate for us to subdue the jinn and have them work for us or go to them for refuge

To subdue the jinn is exclusive to Suleiman (AS); nobody else

There are three types of jinn.

Narration By Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani said: “The Messenger of Allaah  May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: ‘The jinn are of three types: a types that has wings, and they fly through the air; a type that looks like snakes and dogs; and a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.

{Reported by al-Tahhaawi in Mushkil al-Athaar, 4/95, and by al-Tabaraani in al-Kabeer, 22/214  [Shaykh al-Albaani said in al-Mishkaat (2/1206, no. 414 : al-Tahhaawi and Abu’l-Shaykh reported it with a saheeh isnaad}

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) also says cover your utensils

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah  May Allah be pleased with him The Prophet  May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said, "Cover your utensils and tie your water skins, and close your doors and keep your children close to you at night, as the Jinns spread out at such time and snatch things away. When you go to bed, put out your lights, for the mischief-doer (i.e. the rat) may drag away the wick of the candle and burn the dwellers of the house." Ata said, "The devils." (instead of the Jinns)

{Sahih Bukhari vol: 4: book 54 Hadith 533}

The shaitan gets loose at Maghrib time so bring your children in.

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib said on the pulpit in the mosque of Kufah: When Friday comes, the devils go to the markets with their flags, and involve people in their needs and prevent them from the Friday prayer.

{Abu Dawood 1046}

We act upon this hadith by making this dua before we enter the toilet

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib Allah's Messenger  May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: The screen between the eyes of Jinn and the private parts of the sons of Adam as one of them enters the privy is that he should say: Bismilah In the name of Allah.

[This hadith has been transmitted by Tirmidhi 358 and he said: It is a gharib hadith and its isnad is not sound.]

The shaitaan plants his flags on Friday in the market place

Ali said on the pulpit in the mosque of Kufah: When Friday comes, the devils go to the markets with their flags, and involve people in their needs and prevent them from the Friday prayer.  Abu Dawood 1046, Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib

Adam as one of them enters the privy is that he should say: In the name of Allah. [This hadith has been transmitted by Tirmidhi 358 and he said: It is a gharib hadith and its isnad is not sound.]

The worst place is the market place because the shaitaan uses it to take people away from the dhikr Allah (rememberance of Allah (SWT))

The Rasul (S.A.W) used surah al-Falaq and an-Nas to seek protection against the Jinn and the evil eye

Allah (SWT) says in the Quran that the Shaitan likes to look at the private parts of humans

Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri the Prophet May Allah's peace and blessings be on him used to seek protection against the Jinn and the evil eye till surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed, he stuck to them and discarded everything beside them.

[Transmitted by Tirmidhi 1019]

The Rasul (S.A.W) said when you answer the call of nature, donot make istinja with bones because the bones belong to the Jinns. It is food for your brothers the Jinn.

Allah's Messenger May Allah's peace and blessings be on him said: Don't cleanse yourself with dung or with bones for that is the food of your brothers from amongst the Jinn

[Transmitted by Tirmidhi, #350 Nasa’i with this exception that he did not make mention of The Food of your brothers from amongst the jinn]

The Rasul (S.A.W) used to recite surah Rahman for the Jinn.  ‘Which of the favours of you Lord will you deny’ The Jinn said ‘Never will we deny the favours of our Lord’

Muhammad bin Al Munkadir narrated that: Jabir [may Allah be pleased with him] said: “The Messenger of Allah came out to his Companions, and recited Surat Ar-Rahman from its beginning to its end for them, and they were silent. So he said: ‘I recited it to the Jinns on the ‘Night of the Jinns,’ and they had a better response to it than you did. Each time I came to Allah’s saying: ‘Which of your Lords favor do you deny.’ They said: “We do not deny any of Your favors our Lord! And Yours is praise.” [Tirmidhi]

When the Rasul (S.A.W) used to recite surah Rahman for the Jinns they used to cram the environment

The jinn used to climb on each other to hear the recitation of the Rasul (S.A.W).

The jinn were zealous about the knowledge the Rasul (S.A.W) brought them

AYAH 23

"(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allâh and His Messages (of Islâmic Monotheism), and whosoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever."

(Al-Jinn 72:23)

Allah (SWT) mentions disobedience to Allah (SWT) and his Messenger (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

When you obey the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), you obey Allah (SWT)

When you disobey the prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), you disobey Allah (SWT)

He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) as a watcher over them.

(An-Nisa 4:80)

When you disobey the Rasul (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) you disobey Allah (SWT)

There is no difference between obedience to the Rasul (saws) and obedience to Allah (SWT)

AYAH 24

Till, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who it is that is weaker concerning helpers and less important concerning numbers.

(Al-Jinn 72:24)

That which they are promised in the above ayah is the hell fire.

Ilm Yaqeen means: certain knowledge.

And you aquire ilm yaqeen when you see it displaying with your own eyes.

If a person trustworthy tells you something, it is ilm because the person is trustworthy.

A pious Muslim has no need to lie.

Example; If a trustworthy person calls you when you are on holiday and says your house has burnt down and then you return home and see this with your own eyes. This knowledge is called ilm yaqeen.

Allah (SWT) spoke about seeing that which you are promised with your eyes with certainty in 102:6-7

Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight!

(At-Takathur 102:6-7)

Abraham (AS) asked Allah (SWT) to show him how to bring the dead back to life

Abraham wanted yaqeen so he asked Allah (SWT) for it.

Yaqeen brings contentment to the heart, Allah (SWT) showed Abraham with the birds

And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur'an is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith.

(Al-Muddaththir 74:31)

Allah (SWT) made mention of numbers in this Ayah 24 because the keepers of the hell fire are 19 angels

19 because it is a fitna for the kuffar

In order that the people could believe with certainty

Allah (SWT) says who is more important regarding numbers

AYAH 25

Say (O Muhammad SAW) : "I know not whether (the punishment) which you are promised is near or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.

(Al-Jinn 72:25)

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was commanded to say you don't know when judgement day is.

Even prophet Jesus (AS) was asked when judgment day was

Muslims use this bible verse to check mate the Christians

But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

(Matthew 24:36) King James Version

Only Allah (SWT) is the Lord of the worlds

If Jesus (as) is God how come he doesn't know when judgement day is

AYAH 26

"(He Alone) the All-Knower of the Ghâ'ib (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghâ'ib (unseen)."

(Al-Jinn 72:26)

AYAH 27

Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and behind him.

(Al-Jinn 72:27)

Only Allah (SWT) knows the ghaib and He alone knows the unseen

Example of some of the predictions of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)

1. WHEN THE ANGELS CAME TO HIM AND SAID THE ARABS WILL BECOME RICH AND WILL COMPETE IN CONSTRUCTING LOFTY BUILDINGS

And when is the Hour?” He said, “The one who is questioned does not know more about it than the one who asks.” He asked, “Then what are its Signs?” He said, “That a maid-servant will beget her mistress and that you see barefooted, naked-bodied, helpless shepherds construct tall buildings.”

[Bukhari 47, Muslim 4, Tirmidhi 2619, Abu Dawud 4695, Nisai 5005,Ibn Majah 63, Ahmed 184]

2. A SLAVE WILL GIVE BIRTH TO HER MISTRESS

That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master.

[Muslim]

This means there will be a total breakdown and parent child relationship

Parents in the US can divorce the parents

3. THE PROPHET TOLD AMIR IBN YASSIR THAT HE WILL BE KILLED BY A REBELLIOUS GROUP

Umm Salamah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “The transgressing party will kill 'Ammar"

[Sahih Muslim (4/2236) No. 2916]

4. THE PROPHET (
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) TOLD HIS WIFES THAT THE ONE WITH THE LONGEST HANDS WOULD BE THE FIRST TO JOIN HIM IN PARADISE

Narrated 'Aisha: Some of the wives of the Prophet (SAW) asked him, "Who amongst us will be the first to follow you (i.e. die after you)?" He said, "Whoever has the longest hand." So they started measuring their hands with a stick and Sauda's hand turned out to be the longest. (When Zainab bint Jahsh died first of all in the caliphate of 'Umar), we came to know that the long hand was a symbol of practicing charity, so she was the first to follow the Prophet (SAW) and she used to love to practice charity. (Sauda died later in the caliphate of Muawiya).

[Al-Bukhari (1420) and Muslim (2452)]

The wife with the longest hands was the kindest wife.

Allah (SWT) said He alone has the knowledge of the ghaib.

When Zainab bind Jahsh died, a grief gripped the whole of Medina.

5. THE FIRST TO JOIN THE PROPHET (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) WOULD BE FATIMAH

Umm Salamah reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) called Fatimah (RA) in the year of the conquest and confided something to her. She wept. Then he conversed with her and she laughed. When Allah’s Messenger (RA) died, she asked her about her weeping and her laughing, she said, “Allah’s Messenger informed me that he would die, so I wept. Then, he told me that I was the chief of the women of paradise, with the exception of Maryam, daughter of Imran, so I laughed.

(Tirmidhi 3919)

6. ISLAMIC SCHOLARS WOULD DISAPPEAR

Narrated By Anas: Allah's Messenger said, "From among the portents of the Hour are (the following): 1. Religious knowledge will be taken away (by the death of Religious learned men).

[Al-Bukhari (80) and Muslim (2671)]

The first knowledge  law that disappeared was the Islamic law of inheritance.

Narrated Anas: I will narrate to you a Hadith and none other than I will tell you about after it. I heard Allah's Messenger ((Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam)) saying: From among the portents of the Hour are (the following):

4. Women will increase in number and men will decrease in number so much so that one man will look after fifty women. [Bukhari]

7. PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE CON ARTIST

AYAH 27

Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and behind him.

(Al-Jinn 72:27)

The purpose of sharing the knowledge with messengers is so people are convinced they are real messengers

No fake messengers

He shares knowledge of the unseen with Messengers

Knowledge of Ilm al Ghaib (Unseen)

Sometimes Allah (SWT) speaks to the Angels about what will happen next week, next year etc.

'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) said: One day the Messenger of Allah (SAW) mentioned Al-Masih Dajjal (the Antichrist) in the presence of the people and said, "Verily, Allah is not one-eyed but Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye which looks like a swollen grape."

[Al-Bukhari (7127) and Muslim (169)]

The jinn steal the secrets and give to fortunetellers

Narrated `Aisha: Some people asked Allah's Messenger () about the fore-tellers He said. ' They are nothing" They said, 'O Allah's Messenger ()! Sometimes they tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's Messenger () said, "A Jinn snatches that true word and pours it In to the ear of his friend (the fore-teller) (as one puts something into a bottle) The foreteller then mixes with that word one hundred lies."

{Sahih al-Bukhari 5762 & Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 71, Hadith 657}

For fortune tellers mix up truth with lies

Some jinn were destroyed by shooting stars as they tried to steal the secrets

And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire.

(Al-Mulk 67:5)

Soothsayers and palm readers listen to the jinn

Narrated `Aisha: Some people asked Allah's Messenger () about the fore-tellers He said. ' They are nothing" They said, 'O Allah's Messenger ()! Sometimes they tell us of a thing which turns out to be true." Allah's Messenger () said, "A Jinn snatches that true word and pours it into the ear of his friend (the fore-teller) (as one puts something into a bottle) the foreteller then mixes with that word one hundred lies."

{Sahih al-Bukhari Book 76 Hadith 5762 & Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 71, Hadith 657}

The jinn get their information from the knowledge of the heaven

AYAH 28

[He (Allâh) protects them (the Messengers)], till He sees that they (the Messengers) have conveyed the Messages of their Lord (Allâh). And He (Allâh) surrounds all that which is with them, and He (Allâh) keeps count of all things (i.e. He knows the exact number of everything).

(Al-Jinn 72:28)

O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allah guides not the people who disbelieve.

(Al-Ma'idah 5:67)

This verse cause the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to say to his bodyguards that he did not need them any more for protection

And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see.

(Ya-Sin 36:9)

The prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) recited this verse and his enemies could not see him. It protected him from the plot of the Quraish

Seven young men were planted outside the door of Muhammad (saws)

They planned to kill him by stabbing him

He sprinkled dust on their heads and recited 36:9

This ayah was use as a protection for the Rasool (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) as him migrated from Mecca to Medina
