TAFSIR SURAH YA SIN: {Israfeel Shall Blow In The Trumpet} {Noted & Mp3 Audio} March 01 2014

Three Times on the Day of Judgement

Noted By AT6

Hujjah By @Nzinghak & @AT3

Edited By AT6 & Abu Hafiza and Jansep2001

- We stopped at ayah 42 the last time we were here.

AYAH 42:

And We have created for them of the like thereunto, so on them they ride.

(Ya-Sin 36:42)

- What Allah (SWT) is talking about here is the ships that sail on the sea.

- The camels and the horses are the ships of the deserts.

AYAH 43:

And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help) nor will they be saved.

(Ya-Sin 36:43)

- What Allah (SWT) is saying is that when you sail in your ships, Allah (SWT) could drown them if He wishes.

- The most famous ship shinking is the titanic.

- They said not even God could sink their ship.

- There was an iceberg in their way.

- The ship was too big to avert it when they saw it.

- When you sail in the oceans, you sail by the mercy of Allah (SWT).

- Don't take it for granted that you'll arrive safely.

- The same goes for when you fly in an airplane.

Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while.

(Ya-Sin 36:44)

- The only reason why you arrive at your destinations is because it was the mercy of Allah (SWT).

AYAH 45:

And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds).

(Ya-Sin 36:45)

- Allah (SWT) is talking about two torments.

- The first torment is the torment of the dunya.

- The second is the torment of the akhira.

- The torment of the akhira begins in the graves.

- The torment of the dunya is natural disasters.

Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)!

(Ash-Shams 91:14)

- Natural disasters are a direct consequence of our sins.

- Someone approached Aisha and asked her about earthquakes.

“Anas (RA) says, “I went into the presence of Aishah (RA) whilst someone else was seated with her. The person asked, ‘O Mother of the believers, relate to us regarding earthquakes (as to their cause)’ She turned her face away. I (Anas) asked her, ‘Relate to us regarding earthquakes, O Mother of the believers!’ She said, “O Anas, if I were to inform you thereof, you will live a sorrowful life and you will die in this state of grief and you will be raised on the Day of Judgement whilst this fear is in your heart.” I said, “O Mother, relate to me.” She then said, “When a woman removes her clothes in a house other than her husbands (an indication towards adultery), she tears the veil between her and Allah. When she applies perfume to please a male other than her husband, this will be a source of fire and a blemish for her. When the people then begin to commit adultery, consume alcohol and use musical instruments, Allah becomes enraged above the heavens and orders the Earth to shake them. If they repent and refrain, then it is good for them, otherwise Allah will cause it to fall upon them.” I asked, “Is this their punishment?” She said, “It is rather a mercy, means of blessings and admonishment for the believers, and a punishment, display of anger and torment for the unbelievers.”

[Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/561) No. 8575 and Kitab Al-Fitan (2/619) No. 1729]

- Aisha told the person that whenever people listen to music, drink alcohol and women remove their clothing in houses that don't belong to their husbands, Allah (SWT) causes the earth to quake.

Narrated Ibn Namir from Abdullah from Naafi‘ from Safiyyah who said: The earth shook at the time of ‘Umar, and he addressed the people and said: “If it happens again, I shall definitely abandon you and leave.” [Ibn Abi Shaybah in al-Musannaf (Vol.2, pg.221) No. 8335 and ibn al-Jawzi in Al-Muntazam fi Tarikh al-Muluk wal-Umam (Vol.4, pg.295)]

- The dajjal is the biggest fitna that will happen.
Narrated By 'Aisha: The Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to seek refuge with Allah (by saying), "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from the affliction of the Fire and from the punishment in the Fire, and seek refuge with You from the affliction of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of wealth, and I seek refuge with You from the affliction of poverty, and seek refuge with You from the affliction of Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal"

[Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 75, Hadith #387]

- This is another torment of the dunya.

Allah (SWT) said in surah Al-Anfal Verse 36:

Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto Hell.

(Al-Anfal 8:36)

Allah (SWT) said in Surah At-Tawbah 14

Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people,

(At-Tawbah 9:14)

- The torment of the hereafter starts from the punishment of the grave.

- Surah 102:1-4 speaks about the punishment of the grave.

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). Nay! You shall come to know! Again, Nay! You shall come to know!

(At-Takathur 102:1-4)

- Ali said they used to doubt the punishment of the grave before these verses were revealed.

Ali (RA) narrated : We did not cease to doubt punishment in the grave till the surah was revealed: Your rivalry in the accumulation of wealth diverts your minds. (102:1 etc.)

[Sunan Tirmidhi (Vol. 5 pg. 447) No. 3355]

- The resurrection is a torment.

- People will be sweating.

- Some people will be drowning in their sweat.

- It will make children become white haired.

Then how can you avoid the punishment, if you disbelieve, on a Day that will make the children grey-headed (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)?

(Al-Muzzammil 73:17)

- The sheer horror of the Day of Judgment will make children become white in their hair.

- Allah (SWT) said the mountains would be like wool in surah Al Qar'iah:

- In the Qur'an surah Al Qar'iah verse 1 to 5

Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), What is the striking (Hour)? And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, And the mountains will be like carded wool,

(Al-Qari'ah 101:1-5)

Allah (SWT) also said in surah Al Hajj verse 1 regarding the Day of Judgement::

O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing.

(Al-Hajj 22:1)

- So when Allah (SWT) spoke about two torments in Surah Ya Sin, Allah (SWT) is talking about the torment of the dunya and the torment of the akhira.

The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah.

(Al-Hajj 22:2)

- Judgment day is called Yaumul hasra (the day of regret).

- Judgment day is a day of torment.

AYAH 46:

And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it.

(Ya-Sin 36:46)

- Those who turn away from the sign of Allah (SWT) in the dunya, Allah (SWT) will raise them up blind in the hereafter. That is their punishment.

"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur'an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection." He will say:"O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)." (Allah) will say: "Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hell-fire, away from Allah's Mercy)."

(Ta-Ha 20:124-126)

- The reason why a person turns away from the sign of Allah (SWT) in the dunya is because he is addicted to his evil and corrupted desires.

- The way you treat Allah (SWT) in the dunya, Allah (SWT) shall treat you the same way in the akhira.

- The way you treat Allah (SWT) in the dunya, Allah (SWT) will treat you the same way in the DUNYA too.

They have forgotten Allah, so He has forgotten them. Verily, the hypocrites are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

(At-Tawbah 9:67)

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), who said that the Prophet (SAW) said: "Allah the Almighty said: 'I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed." [al-Bukhari (7405) also by Muslim (2675), at-Tirmidhi (2388) and Ibn Majah (3822)]

- The real reason why people turn away from Allah's (SWT) Deen is because they are addicted to their evil and corrupted desires.

Allah (SWT) said in the Qur'an surah Al Jathiyah verse 23

Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember?

(Al-Jathiyah 45:23)

- Allah (SWT) has warned you about people who worship their desires in the above ayah.

Allah (SWT) said in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Mu'mium verse 71:

And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder.

(Al-Mu'minun 23:71)

- You should not underestimate how dangerous you evil desires are because Allah (SWT) gave you a warning in Surah 23:71.

Allah (SWT) said in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 170:

When it is said to them: "Follow what Allah has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?

(Al-Baqarah 2:170)

- The argument of some people is that they prefer to stay on what their fathers are following.

- Some people are loyal but they are loyal to a fault.

- They want to hang on their kufr because they are conservative.

- Some people are sincere but they are sincerely wrong.

AYAH 47:

And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error."

(Ya-Sin 36:47)

- Abu Jahl was riding on his horse and he saw Abu Bakr (RA) feeding poor people.

- Abu Jahl asked Abu Bakr (RA) wouldn't the people have found food if it was Allah's Qadr.

- Abu Bakr (RA) said yes. He said those that are blessed with wealth should help those who weren't.

- Abu Jahl didn't want to embrace Islam because he didn't want to give charity.

- You have to be very evil to turn down giving charity.

- Even Bill Gates gives charity.

- People like Bill Gates, Madonna and Angelina Jolie give charity because when Allah (SWT) blesses you with wealth, it is impossible to enjoy it unless you share it.

- You can't go to your bed and sleep knowing that there are kids who are starving to death while you have money.

- Madonna saw a boy in an orphanage who was starving.

- He became like a prince within minutes of being a pauper.

- He was in an orphanage in Malawi.

- Wealth can transform a person from being a pauper to being a prince.

- Abu Jahl criticized Abu Bakr (RA) for feeding poor people because if it was Qadr Allah, they would have found food themselves.

- The kaafirs of Makkah used Qadr as an argument to not give charity.

Have you seen him who denies the Recompense? That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), And urges not the feeding of Al Miskin (the poor),

(Al-Ma'un 107:1-3)

 - The people who don't believe in the day of recompense don't look after their parents either.

- Their parents die in old age homes.

- When Dr. Shipman killed old people, there was no outcry about it.

- They were glad he was killing their parents.

- It is only the sun newspaper that sensationalized his killing spree to sell papers.

- They called him the doctor of death or angel of death.

AYAH 48:

And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?"

(Ya-Sin 36:48)

AYAH 49:

They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing!

(Ya-Sin 36:49)

- The shout that Allah (SWT) is talking about is angel Israfeel blowing into the trumpet.

- Why do they keep asking the Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) when Judgement Day is?

- It is because man is impatient.

And man invokes (Allah) for evil as he invokes (Allah) for good and man is ever hasty [i.e., if he is angry with somebody, he invokes (saying) : "O Allah! Curse him, etc." and that one should not do, but one should be patient].

(Al-Isra 17:11)

- When man wants something, he wants it now.

- Man is ever hasty.

- He doesn't want to come back next week or next month; he wants it now.

- If you can find a computer faster than a computer your using now, your computer will become obsolete.

- Whenever you have slow technology, it becomes obsolete.

- The trains you have now will be obsolete in 20 years.

- They are going to use electric trains.

- Man is always looking for fast technology.

- Why? Because Allah (SWT) said, man is hasty.

- Nobody wants computers from 30 years ago.

- The kafirs are saying if there is a day called judgment day, bring it on.

Sahl ibn Sa’d Sa’idi reported that Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Deliberation is from Allah, but haste is from the devil”.

[Sunan Tirmidhi (4/367) No. 2012]

AYAH 50:

Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor will they return to their family.

(Ya-Sin 36:50)

- When the trumpet is blown into, you won't be able to write a will.

- Many of you have not written a will.

- How will you have time to write a will when the trumpet is blown into?

O Mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing. The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the Torment of Allah.

(Al-Hajj 22:1-2)

- If a woman will abandon her baby, how will you have time to write a will?

- People won't be able to enjoy your wealth.

- Your mind will be preoccupied because Allah's punishment is petrifying.

AYAH 51:

And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold! From the graves, they will come out quickly to their Lord.

(Ya-Sin 36:51)

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord, they will hasten.

(Ya-Sin 36:51) Sahih International

- It's not the second blowing; it is the third blowing.

- The person who translated the Qur'an made a mistake.

- The trumpet will be blow into three times.

- The popular opinion is that it will be blown into twice but that is the wrong opinion according to Ibn Taymiyyah.

- The first blowing is called raajifa.

- That is to cause horror, terror, shock and awe.

- The second blowing into the trumped is called raadifa.

- That is to cause death.

- Allah (SWT) spoke about this in Surah 55:26-27.

Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever.

(Ar-Rahman 55:26-27)

- Even Israfeel who blows into the trumpet will die; even the angel of death will die.

- The third blowing into the trumpet is called zajarah.

- This is to cause resurrection.

- Because people will come out of their graves on the Day of Judgement, it is also called youmul khurooj (the day of coming out).

- It is also called youmul baath (the day of awakening)

AYAH 51:

And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold! From the graves, they will come out quickly to their Lord.

(Ya-Sin 36:51)

- This ayah is similar to Surah 99:6.

That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds.

(Az-Zalzalah 99:6)

- Allah (SWT) shall show them their deeds on the Day of Resurrection.

AYAH 52:

They will say: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them): "This is what the Most Beneficent (Allah) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!"

(Ya-Sin 36:52)

- The people who reject the punishment of the grave use this ayah to refute us.

- They say that people were sleeping in the grave.

- We refute them by saying the punishment in the grave is intermittent.

Ali (RA) narrated : We did not cease to doubt punishment in the grave till the surah was revealed: Your rivalry in the accumulation of wealth diverts your minds. (102:1 etc.)

[Sunan Tirmidhi (Vol. 5 pg. 447) No. 3355]

AYAH 53:

It will be but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), so behold! They will all be brought up before Us!

(Ya-Sin 36:53)

- The shout Allah (SWT) is speaking about in the above ayah is the third and final blowing into the trumpet where people will be resurrected to face their Maker.

AYAH 54:

This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do.

(Ya-Sin 36:54)

- Allah (SWT) is saying that He is not an oppressor in this ayah.

On the authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifaree (RA) from the Prophet (SAW) from his Lord, that He said: O My servants! I have forbidden dhulm (oppression) for Myself, and I have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except those whom I have guided, so seek guidance from Me and I shall guide you.

[Sahih Muslim (4/1994) No. 2577]

Forty Hadith Nawawi Hadith: 24
O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah, and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself."

[Related by Muslim]

- You shall reap what you sow.

This is because of that (evil) which your hands have sent before you. And certainly, Allah is never unjust to (His) slaves.

(Aali Imran 3:182)

Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned.

(Al-Baqarah 2:286)

- Allah (SWT) said the dwellers of Paradise will be busy with shughul (intercourse) with the virgins of paradise.

- Even the jinn will deflower the virgins of Paradise.

- The scholars use Surah 55:56-57 as their hujjah:

Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

(Ar-Rahman 55:56-57)

- The virgins of Paradise only look at their husbands.

- They will never look at another man.

- They restrain their glances and only fancy their husbands.

- The women of dunya check out other men while they are married to a man and then they ask for a divorce.

AYAH 56:

They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones.

(Ya-Sin 36:56)

AYAH 57:

They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for.

(Ya-Sin 36:57)

- If a person did not die on the battlefield, he will have two wives.

- But if a person died on the battlefield, he will have 72 virgins of Paradise.

- The women of the dunya will be more beautiful than the virgins of Paradise when they go to Paradise.

- The women of Paradise will be the same age as the men of Paradise and that will be 33 years old.

- The whiteness of the eyes of the women of Paradise will be very white, the blackness of their eyes will be very black and they will have huge breasts.

And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age;

(An-Naba 78:33)
