AYAH 38
So
give to the kindred his due, and to AlMiskin (the poor) and to the wayfarer.
That is best for those who seek Allah's Countenance, and it is they who will be
successful. (Ar-Rum 30:38)
In the
above mentioned ayah Allah (swt) tells us to be kind on our near relatives.
Somebody
will like to ask whether a rich woman can give zakat to her poor husband. This
is allowed but a husband can't give zakat to his wife because it is compulsory
for him to feed his wife.
Thawban
reported that the Prophet (SAW), said, "The best dinar a man spends is the
dinar which he spends on his family, the dinar which he spends on his
companions in the Way of Allah, and the dinar which he spends on his riding
animal in the Way of Allah." One of the transmitters, Abu Qilaba, said, He
began with the family, Who has a greater reward that the man who spends on
small children until such time that Allah Almighty makes them able to support
themselves." [Al-Adab al-Mufrad Al-Bukhari, #748]
Narrated
by 'Amr bin Al-HarithZainab, the wife of 'Abdullah said, "I was in the
Mosque and saw the Prophet (p.b.u.h) saying, 'O women ! Give alms even from
your ornaments.' " Zainab used to provide for 'Abdullah and those orphans
who were under her protection. So she said to 'Abdullah, "Will you ask
Allah's Apostle whether it will be sufficient for me to spend part of the Zakat
on you and the orphans who are under my protection?" He replied "Will
you yourself ask Allah's Apostle ?" (Zainab added): So I went to the
Prophet and I saw there an Ansari woman who
was standing at the door (of the Prophet ) with a similar problem as mine.
Bilal passed by us and we asked him, 'Ask the Prophet whether it is permissible
for me to spend (the Zakat) on my husband and the orphans under my protection.'
And we requested Bilal not to inform the Prophet about us. So Bilal went inside
and asked the Prophet regarding our problem. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked,
"Who are those two?" Bilal replied that she was Zainab. The Prophet
said, "Which Zainab?" Bilal said, "The wife of 'Adullah (bin
Masud)." The Prophet said, "Yes, (it is sufficient for her) and she
will receive a double rewards (for that): One for helping relatives, and the
other for giving Zakat." Sahih bukhari Volume 2, Book 24, Number 507
When you
pay zakat to a stranger you get one reward, but if you give zakat to a
relative, you get double reward.
Abu
Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him), narrated that when the
Prophet SAW commanded the women to give in charity, Zaynab the wife of
‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood came to him and said: “O Prophet of Allaah, today you
told us to give in charity. I have some jewellery and I want to give it in
charity, but Ibn Mas’ood claims that he and his child are more deserving of my
charity.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Ibn
Mas’ood has spoken the truth. Your husband and child are more deserving of your
charity.” [Al-Bukhaari (1462) and Muslim
(1000)]
These
ahadith show that the best charity is the one given to your relative.
There is
another verse in the Qur'an where Allah (swt) told you who the zakat should be
given to.
Sadaqat
(here it means Zakat) are only for the Fuqara'[] (poor), and Al-Masakin[] (the
poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and for to attract the hearts
of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and
for those in debt; and for Allah's Cause (i.e. for Mujahidun - those fighting
in the holy wars), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from
everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.
(At-Tawbah 9:60)
There is
a difference between the miskeen and the fakeer. The miskeen is lower than the
fakeer.
The
people who knock on the doors and collect the zakat need to paid a salary,
because this is a job. You need to give it to the mujahideen too.
The ayah
(9:60) is the ayah that details who should receive the zakat.
And
what will make you know the path that is steep? (Al-Balad 90:12). (It is)
Freeing a neck (slave, etc.). (Al-Balad 90:13) . Or
giving food in a day of hunger (famine), (Al-Balad 90:14). To an orphan near of
kin. (Al-Balad 90:15). Or to a Miskin (poor) afflicted
with misery. (Al-Balad 90:16)
In surah
90:15 Allah said that you should take care of the orphan who is your relative.
AYAH 39
And
that which you give in gift (to others), in order that it may increase (your
wealth by expecting to get a better one in return) from other people's
property, has no increase with Allah, but that which you give in Zakat seeking
Allah's Countenance then those, they shall have manifold increase. (Ar-Rum
30:39)
The ayah
tells you that not every gift is an innocent gift
Some
gifts come with ulterior motives.
Allah is
giving you a peep into the psyche of a capitalist, so when they sponsor an
election campaign, they expect you to look after their interest when you win.
The
donation was an investment. This gift has no barakah.
The
barakah is in the zakat.
The
arabic word zakat is from 'Yanmou" which means to grow. Some people have
their warehouses burn up because they don't pay zakat.
Zakat
make your wealth grow.
When you
are stingy and don't pay zakat your wealth shrinks.
Zakat
has a second meaning which means 'to purify', therefore paying zakat purifies
your heart from selfishness, miserliness etc.
O you
who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian)
monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the
Way of Allah (i.e. Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism). And those who hoard
up gold and silver [Al-Kanz: the money, the Zakat of which has not been paid],
and spend it not in the Way of Allah, -announce unto them a painful torment.
(At-Tawbah 9:34)
Allah
(swt) warned against refusing to pay zakat in 9:34. The rasul (saw) also said
that those who withhold the zakat will have their wealth turned into snakes and
they will bite them in their graves.
"Whoever
is made wealthy by Allah and does not pay the Zakat of his wealth, then on the
Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made like a bald-headed poisonous male
snake with two black spots over the eyes. The snake will encircle his neck and
bite his cheeks and say, 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.' (Bukhari
Volume 2, Book 24, Number 486.)
AYAH 40
Allah
is He Who created you, then provided food for you, then will cause you to die,
then (again) He will give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Is there any
of your (socalled) partners (of Allah) that do anything of that ? Glory be to
Him! And Exalted be He above all that (evil) they associate (with Him). (Ar-Rum
30:40)
In ayah
40 Allah is using Tauheed Ar-rububiyyah - that He is the provider, Creator as
hujjah Tauheed Ibadat - He alone deserves to be worshipped
He has
created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth
firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein
moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the
sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. (Luqman 31:10)
This
is the creation of Allah. So show Me that which those (whom you worship),
besides Him have created. Nay, the Zalimun (polytheists, wrongdoers and those
who do not believe in the Oneness of Allah) are in plain error. (Luqman 31:11)
Allah
(swt) provides for you daily, what have your so-called gods done for you?
The
wrongdoers are in manifest error.
Allah
(swt) tells you that He alone sends down the rain and make the crops grow.
AYAH 41
Evil
(sins and disobedience of Allah, etc.) has appeared on land and sea because of
what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds, etc.), that
Allah may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that
they may return (by repenting to Allah, and begging His Pardon). (Ar-Rum 30:41)
Corruption
have become rampant in the land and sea because of the evil work men. They have
tried to change the way Allah designed things to work.
Corruption
has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of
people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what
they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]. (Ar-Rum 30:41)
Sahih International
e.g.
cows should be eating grass but they feed them meat, so Allah gave them mad-cow
disease. The other disease is the foot and mouth disease, also the
swine flu, bird flu etc.
These
diseases are a manifestation of the following hadith :
It was
narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW)
turned to us and said: 'O Muhajirin, there are five things with which you will
be tested, and I seek refuge with Allah lest you live to see them: Immorality
never appears among a people to such an extent that they commit it openly, but
plagues and diseases that were never known among the predecessors will spread
among them. They do not cheat in weights and measures but they will be stricken
with famine, severe calamity and the oppression of their rulers. They do
not withhold the Zakah of the wealth, but rain will be withheld from the sky,
and were it not for the animals, no rain would fall on them. They do not break
the covenant with Allah and His Messenger, but Allah will enable their enemies
to overpower them and take some of what is in their hands. Unless their leaders
rule according to the Book of Allah and seek all good from that which Allah has
revealed, Allah will cause them to fight one another. [Sunan Ibn Majah
(Arabic/English), Vol. 5, pg. 222-223, Hadith #4019]
The
above mentioned hadith explains the ayah 41 in Surah ar-Rum.
A man
asked Aisha (r.a) about earthquakes :
“Anas
(RA) says, “I went into the presence of Aishah (RA) whilst someone else was
seated with her. The person asked, ‘O Mother of the believers, relate to us
regarding earthquakes (as to their cause)’ She turned her face away. I (Anas)
asked her, ‘Relate to us regarding earthquakes, O Mother of the believers!’ She
said, “O Anas, if I were to inform you thereof, you will live a sorrowful life
and you will die in this state of grief and you will be raised on the Day of
Judgement whilst this fear is in your heart.” I said, “O Mother, relate to me.”
She then said, “When a woman removes her clothes in a house other than her
husbands (an indication towards adultery), she tears the veil between her and
Allah. When she applies perfume to please a male other than her husband, this
will be a source of fire and a blemish for her. When the people then begin to
commit adultery, consume alcohol and use musical instruments, Allah becomes
enraged above the heavens and orders the Earth to shake them. If they repent
and refrain, then it is good for them, otherwise Allah will cause it to fall
upon them.” I asked, “Is this their punishment?” She said, “It is rather a
mercy, means of blessings and admonishment for the believers, and a punishment,
display of anger and torment for the unbelievers.” [Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/561)
No. 8575 and Kitab Al-Fitan (2/619) No. 1729]
It occurs because of the sins of the people, namely zina.
It is a
punishment for the kuffaar and a reminder for the believer.
Sometimes
the whales commit suicide because the kuffaar dump toxic waste in the sea
WHALES
COMMITING SUCIDE_http://drmolecule.org/2012/09/10/whales-committing-suicide-en-masse-why/
Prince
Charles came on TV to beg the government to bail out the farmers after the
break out of the mad cow disease and the foot and mouth disease.
And We
have broken them (i.e. the Jews) up into various separate groups on the earth,
some of them are righteous and some are away from that. And We tried them with
good (blessings) and evil (calamities) in order that they might turn (to
Allah's Obedience). (Al-A'raf 7:168)
Whatever
of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from
yourself. And (O Muhammad SAW) (An-Nisa
4:79)
Say (O
Muhammad SAW) : "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those
before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of
Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.)." (Ar-Rum 30:42)
Whatever
happens to you is the result of your actions; good or bad.
Allah is
telling you in the above ayah that He always punishes the wayward, they are
mostly mushrikeen.
Only 80
people believe in Nuh (as) after calling for 950 years.
Allah
(swt)'s sunnah will never change, and it is His sunnah to punish the wayward
with natural disasters.
Then,
can they expect anything (else), but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples
of old? So no change will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing), and no
turning off will you find in Allah's Sunnah (way of dealing). (Fatir 35:43)
Allah
told the rasul (saw) that most people won't believe, and most of those who
claim to believe will ascribe partners unto Him.
And
most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly. (Yusuf 12:103)
And
most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him
[i.e. they are Mushrikun -polytheists - see Verse 6: 121]. (Yusuf 12:106)
Therefore
most of the people who claim to be Muslims today are pagans, only a few number
of people are muwahidoon.
Most
people believe in democracy thereby rejecting faith in tauheed hakimiyyah.
The
goofy soofy, the shia, the berailvis are all grave worshippers and hence
kuffaar.
The
problem in the Ummah today is that we are taught to believe in Allah but not to
reject the taghut.
AYAH 43
So set
you (O Muhammad SAW) your face to (the obedience of Allah, your Lord) the
straight and right religion (Islamic Monotheism), before there comes from Allah
a Day which none can avert it. On that Day men shall be divided [(in two
groups), a group in Paradise and a group in Hell]. (Ar-Rum 30:43)
On the
day of judgement there will be two camps: those going to hellfire and those
going to paradise.
And
whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him,
and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. (Aali Imran 3:85)
AYAH 44
Whosoever
disbelieves will suffer from his disbelief, and whosoever does righteous good
deeds (by practising Islamic Monotheism), then such will prepare a good place
(in Paradise) for themselves (and will be saved by Allah from His Torment).
(Ar-Rum 30:44)
Allah is
saying in the above ayah that He only rewards as per your deeds, and punished
as per your deeds.
O My
servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you
for, so let him who finds good praise Allah, and let him who finds other than
that blame no one but himself." Related by Muslim.
Man will
only get what he strives for.
And
that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad), (An-Najm 53:39)
On the
authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifaree (RA) from the Prophet (SAW) O My servants,
if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of
you, were all to stand together in one place and ask of Me, and I were to give
everyone what he requested, then that would not decrease what I Possess, except
what is decreased of the ocean when a needle is dipped into it. O My servants,
it is but your deeds that I account for you, and then recompense you for. So he
who finds good, let him praise Allah, and he who finds other than that, let him
blame no one but himself.[Sahih Muslim (4/1994) No. 2577]
AYAH 45
Allah
doesn't like the disbelievers.
That
He may reward those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism),
and do righteous good deeds, out of His Bounty. Verily, He likes not the
disbelievers. (Ar-Rum 30:45)
So Allah
(swt) likes and dislikes.
On the
authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), who said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW)
said: "If Allah has loved a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel (on whom be
peace) and says: 'I love So-and-so, therefore love him.'" He (the Prophet
- SAW) said: "So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven,
saying: He (the Prophet - SAW) said: "So they abhor him, and abhorrence is
established for him on earth." [Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, Malik, and
at-Tirmidhi).
HADITH
QUDSI 24
On the
authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: If Allah has loved a servant [of His] He calls
Gabriel (on whom be peace) and says: I love So-and-so, therefore love him. He
(the Prophet pbuh) said: So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in
heaven, saying: Allah loves So-and-so, therefore love him. And the inhabitants
of heaven love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: Then acceptance is established
for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a servant [of His], He calls
Gabriel and says: I abhor So-and-so, therefore abhor him. So Gabriel abhors
him. Then Gabriel calls out to the inhabitants of heaven: Allah abhors
So-and-so, therefore abhor him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So they abhor him,
and abhorrence is established for him on earth. It was related by Muslim (also
by al-Bukhari, Malik, and at-Tirmidhi).
Allah
loves the truthful people, the ones with taqwa.
AYAH 46
And
among His Signs is this, that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a
taste of His Mercy (i.e. rain), and that the ships may sail at His Command, and
that you may seek of His Bounty, in order that you may be thankful. (Ar-Rum
30:46)
Allah is
saying that the wind transports the clouds to the place where the rain should
drop.
The rain
is an example of His infinite Mercy. He sends the rain because of the animals.
Ibn
Umar narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "I was sent by the sword
from now until Judgment Day, until Allah Alone is worshipped with no partners,
and my livelihood is in the shadow of my spear, and humiliation and submission
are on those who disobey me and whoever imitates a people is one of them"
[Musnad Ahmad (2/50) No. 5115, Shu'ab al-Eman al-Bayhaqi (2/417) No. 1154,
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (4/212) No. 19401]
When the
Islamic State captured $480m in one day, it was through jihad and booty. Booty
is the best bounty from Allah.
Booty
was the rizq of the rasul (saw).
al-Haafiz
Ibn Hajar (rh) said: “This hadeeth indicates that war booty is permissible for
this ummah, and that the provision of the Prophet (SAW) has been placed in war
booty and not in other kinds of earnings. Hence some of the scholars said that
it is the best kind of earnings.” [Fathul Baari (6/98]
Umar
(r.a) saw some Muslims farming and he told them to leave that and go to fight.
They
should fight and kill the kuffaar and take the booty.
Farming
is for Jews and Christians.
When you
work in a factory, office etc, your salary is fixed, but the booty is an amount
that is not fixed.
AYAH 47
And
indeed We did send Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) to their own peoples.
They came to them with clear proofs, then, We took vengeance on those who
committed crimes (disbelief, setting partners in worship with Allah, sins,
etc.), and (as for) the believers it was incumbent upon Us to help (them).
(Ar-Rum 30:47)
Allah in
the above ayah is telling us that all the people of the earth had their
prophets.
And
verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger
(proclaiming) : "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from)
Taghut[] (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides
Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some
upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what
was the end of those who denied (the truth). (An-Nahl 16:36)
Taghout
= the kaafir govt, false deity, kaafir army, the shaitan, the UN, THE
freemasons, the kaafir courthouse, man-made isms and shisms etc.
Umar
said, “al-Jibt is magic, and the Taghoot is the Shaitan.” [Sahih Bukhari
(6/45)]
Have
you seen those (hyprocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been
sent down to you, and that which was sent down before you, and they wish to go
for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taghut (false judges, etc.) while they
have been ordered to reject them. But Shaitan (Satan) wishes to lead them far
astray. (An-Nisa 4:60)
Those
who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in
the cause of Taghut (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitan
(Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitan (Satan). (An-Nisa 4:76)
There
is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from
the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he
has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is
All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Al-Baqarah 2:256)
"Three
groups of people Allah obliged Himself to help them: Mujahid in the cause of
Allah, a worker to pay his debt, and the one who wants to marry to live a
chaste life." (Tirmidhi 1661, Nisai 3120, Ibn e Majah 2518, Ahmed 9637)
Allah
makes it fardh upon Himself to help 3 people: the mujahid, the one who works to
pay his debt, and the one who marries to safeguard his chastity.
Or
think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those
who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and
ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed
along with him said, "When (will come) the Help of Allah?" Yes!
Certainly, the Help of Allah is near! (Al-Baqarah 2:214)
You
should never despair from His mercy.
"O
my sons! Go you and enquire about Yusuf (Joseph) and his brother, and never
give up hope of Allah's Mercy. Certainly no one despairs of Allah's Mercy,
except the people who disbelieve." (Yusuf 12:87)
