And to Thamud (people, We sent) their brother Salih (Saleh). He said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Indeed there has come to you a clear sign (the miracle of the coming out of a huge she-camel from the midst of a rock) from your Lord. This she-camel of Allah is a sign unto you; so you leave her to graze in Allah's earth, and touch her not with harm, lest a painful torment should seize you. (Al-A'raf 7:73)

After the destruction of the people of Ad
The people of Thamud took over

This was an Arab tribe
They were the descendants of Sam
Sam was one of the 3 sons of Nuh (as)

They used to build their homes out of rock
They were financially stable and very proud
They said to their prophet that if you are a real prophet then
Why don’t you make a pregnant she camel come out of this rock?
They gave their word (qasam) that they would believe if he did so
So prophet Saleh (as) asked Allah (swt) and Allah delivered this miracle
They asked for a camel because a camel is very significant to Arabs
When Allah blessed Saleh with this miracle
Some of his people believed but the majority did not believe.
However their leader did believe.

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut[] (all false deities, etc. i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). (An-Nahl 16:36)

Taghut means false deities
It also means all the isms and schisms as well as the taghut leaders
The kafir army and the kafir court house

Ibn Jareer al-Tabari said: “The correct opinion concerning Taghoot, in my view, is that it refers to everyone who arrogates to himself a position that is befitting only for Allah, and so is worshipped instead of Him, either by forcing others to worship him or by accepting their willing worship. The one that is thus worshipped may be a human being, or a Shaitan (devil),
or an idol, or a statue, or some other being.” [Tafseer al-Tabari (5/419)]

The taghut is an icon for a false religion.

And We did not send any Messenger before you (O Muhammad SAW) but We inspired him (saying): La ilaha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allah)], so worship Me (Alone and none else)." (Al-Anbiya 21:25)

The people of Thamud complained
They said the she camel was too big and it was frightening their animals.
The she camel was special
It could provide milk for the whole town
But it also drank a lot of water.
So prophet Saleh (as) put forward a compromise
This was for them the use the water on alternate days.
One day the camel would drink and the other the town will and also their animals

And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Each one's right to drink being established (by turns). (Al-Qamar 54:28)

He said: "Here is a she-camel; it has a right to drink (water), and you have a right to drink (water) (each) on a day, known. (Ash-Shu'ara 26:155)

They were unhappy with this compromise
They complained the second time saying that
The she camel drinks too much water from the well
It is impossible to please these people
So they plotted to kill the she camel of Allah

There were 9 evil men who plotted this plot:

They said: "Swear one to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: 'We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.'" (An-Naml 27:49)

And nothing stops Us from sending the Ayat (proofs, evidences, signs) but that the people of old denied them. And We sent the she-camel to Thamud as a clear sign, but they did her wrong. And We sent not the signs except to warn, and to make them afraid (of destruction). (Al-Isra 17:59)

The ring leader of the 9 was called Qudaar Bin Saalif
The scholars say that he was a bastard child
His mother had an affair and was impregnated by her lover
She then gave the baby to her husband
But her husband was a total stranger to the boy.

When the 9 men hesitated to kill the she camel a woman came to them
This woman had beautiful daughters
She encouraged them to kill the she camel by saying
Anyone who kills the she camel will be given her beautiful daughters.
So Qudaar set out to kill the she camel on a Wednesday.

But they killed her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. This is a promise (i.e. a threat) that will not be belied." (Hud 11:65)

When Saleh AS heard about this crime he was astonished
When he witnessed this, he said ' go and enjoy yourself for 3 days'
On the first day their faces became yellow.
On the second day their faces became red.
When they realised that what Saleh said seems to be coming to pass
They plotted to kill Saleh as well

They said: "Swear one to another by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: 'We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.'" (An-Naml 27:49)

On the third day their faces became black.
It was on the third day that Allah (swt) destroyed them

Thamud (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin). (Ash-Shams 91:11)
When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel). (Ash-Shams 91:12)
But the Messenger of Allah [Salih (Saleh)] said to them: "Be cautious! Fear the evil end. That is the she-camel of Allah! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!" (Ash-Shams 91:13)
Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)! (Ash-Shams 91:14)
And He (Allah) feared not the consequences thereof. (Ash-Shams 91:15)

They were destroyed by a violent earthquake
Nuh’s people were destroyed by a flood
The people of Ad were destroyed by a violent wind

"And remember when He made you successors after 'Ad (people) and gave you habitations in the land, you build for yourselves palaces in plains, and carve out homes in the mountains. So remember the graces (bestowed upon you) from Allah, and do not go about making mischief on the earth." (Al-A'raf 7:74)

The leaders of those who were arrogant among his people said to those who were counted weak - to such of them as believed: "Know you that Salih (Saleh) is one sent from his Lord." They said: "We indeed believe in that with which he has been sent." (Al-A'raf 7:75)

Some of the leaders of the community believed
When they saw the miracle

Those who were arrogant said: "Verily, we disbelieve in that which you believe in." (Al-A'raf 7:76)

But the arrogant amongst them rejected faith.
So why did Allah say that they were all equal?
Because they did not enjoin the good and forbid the evil.

And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial, etc.) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people), and know that Allah is Severe in punishment. (Al-Anfal 8:25)

Allah warns us to fear the fitnah
As it will affect both the good people and the bad
If the good did not enjoin the right and forbid the wrong.

On the authority of Abu Umar who said: Allah sent two angels to destroy a township with a natural disaster, but when they got there they found a man praying in the mosque. They went back to Allah and said: 'O Allah we found a man praying in the mosque.' Allah said to the two angels: 'Go back and destroy the township with that man as well because not once did he ever frown when he saw the people indulging in haram.' [Ibnul Qayyim, al-Jawaab al-Kaafi (Vol. 1, pg. 46)]

So the people of Saleh were equal in punishment, the rich & the poor; the good & evil.
However the believers left the town with Saleh before the earthquake struck.

So they killed the she-camel and insolently defied the Commandment of their Lord, and said: "O Salih (Saleh)! Bring about your threats if you are indeed one of the Messengers (of Allah)." (Al-A'raf 7:77)

The threat that Saleh told them about is that they were told that they would die in 3 days

So the earthquake seized them, and they lay (dead), prostrate in their homes. (Al-A'raf 7:78)

Allah used 3 different natural disasters to punish 3 different nations
The people of Nuh with the Flood
The people of Ad by a violent wind
And the people of Saleh were destroyed by a violent earthquake.

Then he [Salih (Saleh)] turned from them, and said: "O my people! I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Lord, and have given you good advice but you like not good advisers." (Al-A'raf 7:79)

"And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)." (Ya-Sin 36:17)

Every prophet said the same thing - my job is to convey the message.
Why do people refuse to take advice?
Because they are loyal to a fault
They are addicted to their evil and corrupted desires
The third reason, is due to their pride and arrogance
Eg Nimrod, Abu Jahl, Firawn

And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: "Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns)? (Al-A'raf 7:80)

The people of Lut (as), besides homosexuality also used to
Bring animals together to fight (animal cruelty) and then bet.
The also used to compete in who could fart the loudest
Prophet Lut was a nephew of Prophet Abraham (as)

"Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins)." (Al-A'raf 7:81)

The gay community refute this ayah
They claim that when they go to bed with their gay partner, they practise love not lust.
So this ayah is not talking about them.

This man (above) is a homosexual from South Africa,
He established a group for gay muslims
There is nothing as such anyway
Every homosexual is a kafir
Homosexuality is something which is learnt
Not something that one is born with.
How can Allah (swt) create the gay gene and then punish people for it?
It is not possible.

This is because of that (evil) which your hands have sent before you. And certainly, Allah is never unjust to (His) slaves. (Aali Imran 3:182)

The person who invented the theory of the gay gene was a homosexual,
Thus his perspective is flawed and biased.
People who make takfir on the gay are accused of being khawaarij.
Allah (swt) Himself makes Takfir on the gay in the Quran:

So We brought out from therein the believers. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:35)
But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:36)
And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea , well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. (Adh-Dhariyat 51:37)

This is the ayah (above) the scholars use to make takfir on the gay
Many people listen to wicked scholars
Eg Hamza Yusuf - prays to Muhammad SAW and says there is no need for a Khalifah
Shuaib Webb - He believes in gay marriages
These are the type of people that some muslims like to take their deen from.

And the answer of his people was only that they said: "Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be pure (from sins)!" (Al-A'raf 7:82)

We say to the gay community, that you have admitted that what you are doing is filthy by saying:
"Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be PURE (from sins)!"
If we should adopt your lifestyle - homosexuality - the human race would grind to a halt
Homosexuals are dictators, because they drive out the people from places - towns.
They drive out the married couples
Because they want people to adopt their lifestyle

Teletubbies is gay

The Simpsons – is anarchy

You should not let kids watch these

There is a difference of opinion concerning the punishment for the one who commits sodomy. The following are the opinions that were mentioned by Imam Ash-Shawkani in "Nayl Al-Awtar" , Vol. 7/p122-124.
1) That he is killed with the sword, then burnt. This is narrated from Abu Bakr and 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib.
2) That a wall should be collapsed upon him. This was the opinion of 'Umar and 'Uthman.
3) That he should be thrown from the highest building in the city, then that should be followed up with him being pelted with rocks. This was the opinion of Ibn 'Abbas.
4) That he is stoned. This is narrated by Al-Bayhaqi from 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib, Ash-Sha'bi, Az-Zuhri, Malik, Ahmad, Is'haq, and Ash-Shafi'i.
5) That they are burned. This was narrated by Al-Bayhaqi, that Abu Bakr gathered the Sahabah and 'Ali mentioned this, and the Sahabah agreed upon it. It was also mentioned by Al-Munthiri that it was done by Abu Bakr, 'Ali, 'Abdullah Ibn Az-Zubayr, and Hisham Ibn 'Abdil-Malik.
6) That he is stoned, then burnt with fire. This is narrated from the Sahabah agreeing upon it in the time of Abu Bakr.
7) That the punishment is the same as Zina, in that if he is a virgin, he is whipped, and if he is not, then he is stoned.
8) That there is no prescribed punishment, rather it is left up to the Imam to perform Ta'zir, and this was narrated from Abu Hanifah, and one narration from Ash-Shafi'i, and others. Ash-Shawkani refutes the opinion of the punishment being the same as Zina, as well as the opinion that there is only Ta’zir,
and supports the opinion that he is killed, but does not appear to specify which way of killing is the strongest.

This is what the sahabah said should be done with the dead body of the homosexuals
The dead body should be burnt
By reducing the body to ashes, the family cannot argue that
He should be buried in the graveyard of the muslims.
The burning of these bodies was supported by Abu Bakr and Ali (RA)

That the Messenger of Allah () said: “Whomever you find doing the actions of the people of Lut then kill the one doing it, and the one it is done to."Jami` at-Tirmidhi: Vol. 3, Book 15, Hadith 1456

Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment). (Al-A'raf 7:83)

Lut’s wife refused to make hijrah
So she died amongst the homosexuals
She even plotted with the homosexuals against Lut AS

O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you (i.e. may stop you from the obedience of Allah), therefore beware of them! But if you pardon (them) and overlook, and forgive (their faults), then verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (At-Taghabun 64:14)

Allah (swt) says that even your own family can be your enemies.

Allah sets forth an example for those who disbelieve, the wife of Nuh (Noah) and the wife of Lout (Lot). They were under two of our righteous slaves, but they both betrayed their (husbands by rejecting their doctrine) so they [Nuh (Noah) and Lout (Lot)] benefited them (their respective wives) not, against Allah, and it was said: "Enter the Fire along with those who enter!" (At-Tahrim 66:10)

Allah mentions the two kafir wives of the two prophets - Nuh and Lut.
All the wives of the prophet Muhammad SAW were muslims.

Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment). (Al-A'raf 7:83)

The sunnis use this ayah to refute the shi'ites.
The shi'ites believe that his wives are not part of his household
But the wives of Muhammad SAW were part of his household.

And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Then see what was the end of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). (Al-A'raf 7:84)

Allah says he rained upon the homosexuals stones
Four different disasters for four different nations
